Siege golems: how crafters use them at sieges

The three siege summons of a crafter, Siege Golem, Wild Hog Cannon and Swoop Cannon: what each one is good at, how it is controlled and where it is of real use at a siege.

Siege golems: they say this topic is no longer relevant and nobody goes to sieges with golems. Well, I don't know, I had fun running around with golems.

Siege Golem

The Siege Golem (Summon Siege Golem) is the main golem at a siege, summoned by a player of the Warsmith class: sky-high defence and HP, medium movement speed; we lead the golem up to a wall or to the gate and press attack. There is a beautifully animated skill with which the siege golem deals great damage to the castle fortifications with a swing. When the gate is destroyed, the golem can be moved to the wall to work a little on the architecture of the castle.

During a siege you can have fun by teleporting to Giran and stomping about the central square: noise, din, rumble, everything shakes, everyone is in shock. Don't think anything bad, I simply forgot the shots, that is why I came back.

Wild Hog Cannon

The Wild Hog Cannon (Summon Wild Hog Cannon), the piggy: weak defence, minimum HP, practically no movement speed, so we summon it where we are going to use it; it has two modes, movement and firing, and switching modes takes 30 seconds. After the pig goes into firing mode, we take the wall in target and press the firing skill: boom... and that is all.

It often happens that competitors turn up at your siege. And in general I notice that lately nobody bothers with the Siege Golem, everybody runs around with piggies.

Swoop Cannon

The Swoop Cannon (Summon Swoop Cannon), the toad or frog: strong defence, a sea of HP, but it is rather hard to control, since it fires over an area to hit manpower; for effective use you have to turn this golem towards the enemy and use either the near or the far shot. Since the toad has a lot of HP, it can be used as a living shield: we lead it up to the gate and fire a shot towards the castle. All the guards aggro on the toad, and I quietly cut them down.

And yet the frog is probably the most inconvenient of all the siege golems: its manoeuvre is limited, and the enemies will hardly let you use it properly: while you readjust it, all of them have already run over to another place, and you still have to walk there. So its one use is to distract the clumsy guards.
