Siege of the Devastated Castle clan hall

How the contested clan hall Devastated Castle is taken: registration, splitting the clan into two groups, the route through the monsters to the throne room, and why only the damage dealt to Gustav counts.

Devastated Castle is an elite clan hall that can be captured by a clan, and that clan will use the clan hall until the next siege. The functions are the same as in an ordinary clan hall; I will list them below. It is located in the Fields of Massacre, right next to the teleport, on the hill.

The siege of the clan hall is held once a week (with us it was Friday, 20:00 Moscow time); you can register for the siege no later than a day before it starts at the NPC Messenger Loken, who stands right there at the entrance to the clan hall (there is a nuance here: some write that registration opens two hours before the start, but the last time I checked, I registered without problems several days before the siege).

The first time I went to such a siege was in 2007, when it was announced in the clan that we were going to help some other clan capture a clan hall. We were even sent to read some article about the capture; honestly, a lot was written there, but we understood nothing at all, just ran somewhere and shot at someone, and that was it. So now I will set out the very essence.

With the start of the siege the whole territory adjoining the castle is declared a PvP zone, and monsters appear on the walls and inside the clan hall. There are very many of them, so everyone needs to know at least a rough plan of action.

The clan splits into two groups: one of the groups will farm the mobs inside the castle, the other will defend the entrance to the castle from other players. Since you can enter the clan hall only through the gate, the task of the second group is to prevent a mass passage of other clans inside. Separate individuals may break through, but for one person it will be very hard to get through all the mobs, which are simply in crowds and respawn quickly (as far as I remember, the respawn is 3 minutes).

The first group climbs inside the clan hall. First we clear the passage to the gate and break the gate itself (it may seem to you that these are ordinary mobs, all the more so as they have the same names as the mobs in the location, but no: these are special mobs without drop and spoil (only herbs drop), and their level is higher than that of the ordinary ones).

We go in and run to the right, diagonally, to the far mobs, paying no attention to the others. There a passage is visible in the wall, and that is where we need to get. But in the passage mobs are waiting for us again, and there are many of them.

Having broken through further, you will enter the inner courtyard of the clan hall; there will be many mobs there too. Straight ahead, where there are only archers, there is a breakable door and the entrance to the room where the clan hall manager stands, but we do not need to go there now. We are interested in the mobs standing on the left in the breach.

We clear this passage, climb inside and turn right there; there will be a fairly large room with a huge number of mobs. As you clear these mobs, more will crawl out of the right corner. In that corner is precisely the passage to the throne room. We beat everybody and get into the throne room. It is guarded by a heap of the same mobs we have already met, and also by three unique mobs that initially stand at the throne: Mikhail, Dietrich and Gustav. Mikhail and Dietrich are simply unkillable mobs: even if you take all their HP off, they will run after you, deal damage and regenerate, whereas Gustav is the key mob with a large amount of HP. It is by him that it will be calculated which clan gets the clan hall. That is, each clan must try to deal the greatest damage precisely to Gustav; the rest simply does not matter.

After all of Gustav's HP is taken off, he does not fall but disappears somewhere, all the other mobs disappear too, and the damage is counted among the clans registered for the siege. After the count the clan that captured the clan hall is announced. Damage dealt to Gustav by sympathisers not registered for the siege is not counted. If Gustav's HP is not taken off during the siege (and it lasts 1 hour), there will be no winner, and the clan hall will pass under the control of the NPCs. That is, you can invite helpers from other clans to the siege, but they should be used either for farming the ordinary mobs or if you see that you will not bring Gustav down without their help.

After the victory in the battle for the clan hall you can switch on all the services at the manager, the same as in ordinary clan halls: buffs, teleports, item creation. Since the clan hall is elite, even D armor scrolls are sold here. To sit on the throne, to my great regret, will not work at all, since some scoundrels have smashed it.
