Which quests to do in the starter location from level 1 to 21, what each of them rewards, and where the first-profession quests are taken at level 19.
If we play on more or less high-rate servers, these quests are not worth bothering with (unless it is your first character on the server and there is nobody to help you along), but on low rates you will have to take the trouble and work right from the starter location.
The main thing all classes have to do is pass the newbie quest for the teleport tokens, get the beginner no-grade shots and the scroll of teleport to Giran, level quickly to 19 and start the first-profession quest.
The first thing we do on appearing in the starter location (it cannot even be called a quest) is go up to the newbie helper; he suggests swinging the little knife a bit, so we go and beat gremlins until a Blue Gemstone drops (it usually falls from the second gremlin), pick it up and go to boast to the helper. He gives out 200 no-grade soulshots for beginners and sends you to the NPC standing nearby; we click on that one and choose the first line, and the NPC gives a few more shots and sends you to the village, to the newbie helper there.
The newbie helper in the village gives more soulshots and 12 newbie tokens, with which we can teleport between the starter villages. The teleport with them is from the same newbie helper (the last line). Bear in mind that at level 20 they can no longer be used. So the problem of teleporting between the starter locations is already solved.
By the way, remember this NPC: starting from level 8 we will get buffed by him; at level eight he gives only Wind Walk, then more, and by level 15 there will be Vampiric Rage and the Life Cubic. On some servers the buff is given only to the first character of the account, on others everybody can get buffed.
We do the following quests (or do not: it all depends on what you need; some need only the shots and the weapon, some adena or experience, and for some it is enough simply to fly off to Giran):
- Level 2. Quest Long live the Pa'agrio Lord!: the reward is the low no-grade one-handed club
Club. - Level 3. Quests Into the City of Humans and To the Immortal Plateau: the reward is scrolls of teleport to Giran and back to the orc village.
- Level 4. Quest Proof of Valor: the reward is
Necklace of Courage. - Level 5. Quest Wrath of Ancestors: the reward is 1500 adena.
- Level 6. Quest Invaders of the Holy Land: the reward is shots (on the first hand-in) and adena.
- Level 9. Quest Skirmish with the Werewolves: the reward is adena.
- Level 11. Quest Dark Winged Spies: the reward is adena.
- Level 12 (10). Quest Merciless Punishment: the reward is the no-grade sword
Butcher's Sword, 100 lesser healing potions, 7000 shots for beginners and echo crystals. - Level 15. Quest Gatekeeper's Offering: the reward is 2 tokens for a free teleport to Gludin.
- Level 15. Quest Totem of the Hestui: the reward is
Leather Pants and
Totem of Hestui (5500 adena). - Level 15. Quest Traces of Evil: the reward is adena, EXP and SP. The quest exists only in the Gracia chronicles and later.
- Level 20. Quest Walk of Fate: the reward is
Scroll: Enchant Armor (Grade D) and 4665 adena.
Now about the quests that are done in other starter villages or towns but which orcs can do too.
- Level 15. Quest Dwarven Kinship: the reward is 22000 adena.
- Level 15. Quest Grim Collector: the reward is adena.
After that decide for yourself, by circumstances, how and where to level; at level 19, depending on who you want to become, we scatter to the NPCs who give the first-profession quests:
- First-profession quest for the Destroyer: Path to an Orc Raider.
- First-profession quest for the Overlord and the Warcryer: Path to an Orc Shaman.
- First-profession quest for the Tyrant: Path to a Monk.
