Where a spoiler gets the recipes for soulshots, spiritshots and blessed spiritshots of every grade, from D to S: the monsters worth going to, with notes from practice, and the levels at which each grade of shots can be crafted.
With the craft of shots for a fighter everything is clear anyway: take crystals of the corresponding grade, buy soul ore in a shop, and craft. But with the recipes for crafting shots problems sometimes arise: of some recipes there is a whole heap, and some are rather hard to get. So here we talk precisely about getting the recipes for crafting soulshots. All D shots can be crafted starting from level 20 (the second level of craft), all C shots from level 36 (the fourth level of craft), all B shots from level 49 (the sixth), all A shots from level 55 (the seventh), all S shots from level 62 (the eighth level of craft).
Soulshots
- D grade,
Recipe: Soulshot: D-Grade. There are no problems with spoil: the best spoil of the recipe is in the catacombs, but the nuance is that you can enter the catacombs only after level 20, and one would like to take a D-grade weapon in hand right at 20. When levelling my first spoiler girl I usually start spoiling the recipe for D soulshots right there, on the territory of the dwarves. I always spoil it; the difference is only in time. So we teleport to the eastern part of the dwarven territory: near the teleport there are the mobs of level 21 Northern Goblin; not the biggest spoil chance, but it always works out. You can also, if you run about spoiling the recipes for crafting resources, spoil the Giant Poison Bee; they are not far from the Orc Barracks (teleport from Gludin), where we spoil the recipe for the silver mold. - C grade,
Recipe: Soulshot: C-Grade. It is better, of course, to go and spoil Zaken's Elite Pikeman, but on many servers the Devil's Isle location is not set up properly, so you may wait for the mob there in vain. The upshot: we go to the catacombs and spoil there; the chance is decent all the same. If there are no catacombs this week, you can run to the Cruma Tower and spoil the group mobs Snipe Cohort in the far rooms of the first floor, but for some reason I do not look for easy ways: I spoil Timak Orc Archer not far from Oren (Timak Orc Outpost), though the chance from it is one of the worst. It is just that I also knock out amulets there, and the neighbouring mob has the spoil for blessed spiritshots. - B grade,
Recipe: Soulshot: B-Grade. There are really many mobs with the spoil of this recipe; I will simply name a few locations where you will certainly be spoiling something, and will spoil this recipe along the way. Blood Queen is the best spoil chance; the mob stands either in the Seal of Shilen or before Antharas' Lair; it is the mob from which the items for the 3rd clan level drop. All the Nephilim and Lilim are in the catacombs, Satyr Elder is on the second tier of the Enchanted Valley, Fallen Orc in the Forsaken Plains (steel is spoiled from it too), Marsh Stalker in the same place. - A grade,
Recipe: Soulshot: A-Grade. Of these recipes you will always have plenty; I will not even specify which mob stands where: if you urgently need the recipe, go down into the catacombs and spoil it quickly. I usually spoil a heap of them at the farm while spoiling the key materials for the Blue Wolf Heavy Set. There is a heap of recipes even as drop, from this mob: Punishment of Splendor, instead of the recipe for the Dark Crystal gloves. I get angry every time the shot recipe drops. - S grade,
Recipe: Soulshot: S Grade. Here, I think, NCsoft blundered a little: why stuff the recipe for S shots into mobs of level 80, and ones standing in hard-to-reach places at that? There is not a single mob in the catacombs. But, luckily for us, there are two mobs: Varka Silenos Priest and Ketra Orc Footman, standing in the Varka Silenos Stronghold and in the Ketra Orc Outpost respectively. Ketra is preferable: the mobs stand at the edge there, while at Varka you have to go deep in. With drop the level is of course lower, but the chance there is nothing, so spoil is better all the same.
Ordinary spiritshots
People craft and buy ordinary (not blessed) spiritshots only in two cases: first, for the Olympiad, since NCsoft considered that mages with blessed shots would bring a great imbalance into the Olympiad because of their damage, so it is forbidden to carry blessed spiritshots to the Olympiad, and everybody has to craft ordinary ones. In that case shots of S grade are relevant, sometimes of A grade, since some run at the Olympiad with enchanted A weapons, and B grade because of the buff sticks. And that is all. Lower grades are not considered and are crafted only in the second case: for healers there is no difference whether you heal with ordinary or blessed shots, but the whole saving comes to nothing, because you can hardly find a craft of ordinary low-grade shots for mages, and it is simpler to buy blessed ones.
- D grade,
Recipe: Spiritshot D. It seems that even the Koreans themselves agree with my conclusions: nobody needs such shots. But if you really must, Ruin Imp Elder is in the Ruins of Despair (teleport from Gludio), and Ruin Spartoi in the Ruins of Agony, teleport from the same place. Nightmare Weaver is in the Mithril Mines (teleport from the dwarven village). - B grade,
Recipe: Spiritshot B. I spoil Marsh Drake in the Forsaken Plains, since that is where I spend a lot of time at these levels. - A grade,
Recipe: Spiritshot A. Traditionally there are many mobs with the spoil of A-grade recipes; I recommend visiting the upper floors of the Tower of Insolence or the same old catacombs. - S grade,
Recipe: Spiritshot S. Here the picture is the same as with soulshots: many mobs in hard-to-reach places, and a few mobs in the Varka Silenos Stronghold and the Ketra Orc Outpost. Ketra is preferable: there are as many as two different ones there.
Blessed spiritshots
The recipes for crafting blessed spiritshots were cut to the utmost compared with the other types of shots. Nevertheless it is quite possible to spoil them, and sometimes they can even be got as drop.
- D grade,
Recipe: Blessed Spiritshot D. There are only two mobs, an orc in the Orc Barracks and Basilisk in the Ant Nest, and although the chance from the orc seems bigger, I always spoil the basilisks (and get it). - C grade,
Recipe: Blessed Spiritshot C. I always spoiled the first two mobs: Timak Orc Warrior near Oren, where I also knock out amulets and where the mob with the spoil of the recipe for C soulshots is nearby, but it happened that I could not spoil the recipe; whereas from Enchanted Stone Golem in the Ivory Tower Crater I always spoiled it, and varnish is spoiled from the same mob too. The third mob, Dire Wyrm, is in the Sea of Spores, but I run there only to knock out a couple of books, and I do not know how it spoils. - B grade,
Recipe: Blessed Spiritshot B. My choice is Malruk Succubus in the Dragon Valley: in those clearings all the mobs are useful, so I spoil there often and for a long time. But just in case, Purgatory Invader Shaman is in the rift, and Harit Lizardman Warrior in the Forest of Mirrors. - A grade,
Recipe: Blessed Spiritshot A. I spoil Raider of Pastureland at the farm while spoiling the key materials for the Blue Wolf Heavy Set; two or three shot recipes come out of it. - S grade,
Recipe: Blessed Spiritshot S. When I need this recipe, I go to the Varka Silenos Stronghold: right at the teleport point stands the mob Varka Silenos Recruit, and you can spoil to your heart's content. When I beat the 700 mobs for the profession in the Shrine of Loyalty, this recipe drops from Shrine Knight from time to time.
The full lists of monsters with the drop and spoil of each recipe, with chances, are on the pages of the recipes.
