Where a crafter gets crystals and gemstones of every grade: breaking shop weapons for D, dual swords for C and B, the Merchant of Mammon for A and S, and which gemstones are simply sold in shops.
Today we will talk about such things needed in craft as crystals and gemstones of all grades, namely about the ways of getting them. Any craft needs both crystals and gemstones of various grades; some can be bought in a shop, some from the Merchant of Mammon in the week of the Seven Signs victory, and some we get by breaking various things into crystals.
It makes sense to break gear (or weapons) mostly only of D grade, and even then only what is sold in shops for adena; rare things (such as parts of the Brigandine set or the top D plate set) are simply a pity to break, and everything above D grade all the more so. No, of course I have broken C and B and even A things (when crystals are needed very urgently: at the start of a server, when there is simply no other way to get them), but when the server is already developed, I even prefer to do it differently: when people ask me to break some B or A-grade thing (mostly Avadon and Zubei heavy and light bodies, and also Dark Crystal heavy and light), I simply give them the number of crystals they would get from breaking it and keep the thing for myself, since in any case there will be people to whom we will sell it later, and much dearer than it would have been in the form of crystals.
Crystals
Crystal: D-Grade. With D-grade crystals everything is simple: we go to the weapon shop in Giran, buy a D weapon and break it into crystals. I never calculated the cost of crystals got this way, and it needs counting only on x1 servers. D crystals are sold at roughly 740 adena (more or less, depending on the prices that have formed on the server).
Crystal: C-Grade. With C crystals it is just as simple: everything rests on the fact that low C duals can be forged from D swords bought in the same weapon shop. So we buy the needed number of one-handed D swords (I prefer to dual 
Elven Sword with Elven Sword) and go to the smithy of Giran. There we make the C duals and break them right away into C crystals. C crystals are sold at roughly 3,400 adena.
Crystal: B-Grade. With B crystals it is already harder; there are three main ways of getting them. The first is to break a B thing into crystals: a barbaric way, I personally feel sorry, but sometimes it has to be done. The only thing I will note: never break B weapons (well, except low B duals), since any B weapon is rather rare because of the difficulty of getting the recipes for crafting it. The second: if the server is developed enough and there are dual craft stamps on it. We buy two C swords in the Luxury Shop in Giran for D and C crystals (I take the Sword of Delusion), buy a dual craft stamp as cheaply as possible (the cost of the B crystals will depend directly on the price of the stamp), go to the blacksmith in Oren and make B duals with the craft stamp. We break them and use the crystals for our needs. B crystals are sold from 20k to 50k (that too depends on the server).- The third way: if the server has just opened and there are no craft stamps, then in the week of the Seven Signs victory you can get at the Blacksmith of Mammon C-grade swords that are dualed in Aden without a dual craft stamp, with
Stone of Purity instead. We buy the same Swords of Delusion in the Luxury Shop of Giran and go to the catacombs to look for the Blacksmith of Mammon; with him we exchange (for free) the Delusions for Swords of Nightmare. We take the two swords got from Mammon and 45 stones of purity and go to the smithy of Aden, where we make B duals for breaking without any stamp. 
Crystal: A-Grade and 
Crystal: S Grade. With A and S-grade crystals it is still worse than with the rest. As you understand, crafted duals are no longer broken here because of their high cost, so we either break cheaper gear (Dark Crystal light or heavy bodies, the Tallum light body) or buy crystals in the week of the Seven Signs victory from the Merchant of Mammon for ancient adena. The purchase price: an A crystal 15k ancient adena, an S crystal 25k. But it is simpler here in that A and S weapons are actively enchanted, and so are broken from time to time, so you can seat a character to buy up A and S crystals; sometimes they can even be bought very cheaply.
Gemstones
Gemstone D, 
Gemstone C and 
Gemstone B can be bought in a shop; only bear in mind that they are not in every town: B gemstones are sold in Giran, Rune, Schuttgart and Goddard.
Gemstone A and 
Gemstone S are bought from the Merchant of Mammon in the week of the Seven Signs victory for ancient adena; the price of an A gemstone is 30k ancient adena, of an S gemstone 100k.
That is in principle all I wanted to tell about crystals and gemstones. I deliberately do not write the sale prices of A and S crystals and gemstones, since they are tied to the price of ancient adena, and the price of ancient adena differs considerably between servers.
