Catacombs and necropolises: how to get in, the mobs and the list by levels

What the catacombs and necropolises of the Seven Signs are, how to register and get inside, which quests to take at the entrance, how the mobs of Dawn and Dusk behave, and the list of all fourteen dungeons with the levels of their mobs.

Catacombs and necropolises: as you can understand from the names, this is something underground and scary. In fact they are simply underground locations populated with mobs strengthened in comparison with the surface locations (all the mobs are x4), with a raised chance of drop and spoil. There are quite many such dungeons in the game, and all of them differ in the level of the mobs, from level 20 up to level 80. So you can always choose catacombs to your taste, and not only by the level of the mobs but also by the drop and spoil from them. Mostly players go to the catacombs for two reasons that interest us dwarves little: the fast levelling of the whole party by destroyers, and the farming of the Seven Signs stones from the mobs, to be exchanged later for ancient adena.

I personally go to the catacombs only when I have to knock out some recipe that is knocked out with a much worse chance in other places, or when I have to spoil weapon or armor enchant scrolls, or dyes. Ah, and sometimes spellbooks and amulets are needed urgently, but with those there are fewer problems: it is enough to run into the catacombs and ask the first destroyer that comes to hand. So many of them drop there that any destroyer will be glad to clear out the inventory.

How to get into the catacombs

To get into the catacombs and necropolises you have to register, in the week of the struggle of the Seven Signs, with the Priest of Dawn or the Dusk Priestess in any town, including Gludin Village. There are none in the starting villages. You can register after getting the first profession. If you did not manage to register in the week of the struggle, there is no registration in the week of victory, and you will have to wait until the next Monday. The period changes on Mondays at 18:00. How the cycle itself works is described in the article Seven Signs: Dawn and Dusk, seal stones and the Festival of Darkness.

If you registered for the side that lost the struggle, you will not be let into the catacombs in the week of victory, and you will also have to wait for a new period of struggle. As a rule, in Interlude the bulk of the players register with the big-nosed man, the Priest of Dawn (though in fact it is not a nose but that kind of hat). With the Dusk Priestess people register very rarely, since far more effort has to be put in for victory there, and in general that is quite another subject. When I was quite small and did not know which seal to choose at registration, I was told at once to choose the Seal of Gnosis, because with its victory there will be both the blacksmith and the merchant of Mammon. Since then that is how I register.

After you have got access to the dungeons you have to get there somehow. Here everything differs between servers. Somewhere there is a permanent teleport from the Priest of Dawn to the entrance of the catacombs, somewhere only in the period of the struggle or victory, somewhere there are noblesse teleports to all the catacombs. And somewhere there are none. So in the worst case you will have to run on foot. As a rule the run is not long. Having run up to the entrance of a dungeon, you have to swim some distance under water to get to the teleport. The water in the catacombs is lit with red, in the necropolises it is transparent. Many players complain here that when they jump into the water their HP drops sharply, as in a fall from a great height. To avoid this, do not rush headlong: walk up to the very edge of the pit and only then click on the bottom of that pit. Then no HP is taken.

Having swum to the entrance of the catacombs, at the Gatekeeper Ziggurat you can teleport inside, and you can (it is even necessary) take the quest Yoke of the Past. By this quest items will drop into your quest inventory which you can at any moment exchange at the same Ziggurat for the Blank Scroll, one for one. For these scrolls you will be able to buy various items from the Merchant of Mammon. Having teleported inside, at once take the second quest, In the Dimensional Rift, from the big statue to the left of the entrance. By this quest the Dimensional Fragments will drop straight into the ordinary inventory. For these fragments you will be able to get into the Dimensional Rift.

The mobs of Dawn and Dusk

Now you can set about picking at the mobs. The structure of the mobs in the catacombs is such that there are mobs supporting the struggle on the side of the army of Dawn, there are those on the side of Dusk, and there are neutral mobs. The mobs of Dawn have the word Lilim in their names, and the mobs of Dusk the word Nephilim (that is at high levels; at small levels the names are different, Lith and Gigant respectively). All these mobs are not aggressive and not social to the other side. That is, if you are killing a Lilim mob, a Nephilim mob standing nearby will pay no attention to you and will not aggro. During the victory of the seals all the mobs of the losing side are removed from the catacombs, and the same number of mobs of the winning side come in their place. So it sometimes turns out that the mob needed for its drop is not in the catacombs, and you have to wait a whole week. This is especially critical for mobs with the drop of books: in the week of victory you can ask any price for these books, since there is no possibility of knocking them out.

But the neutral mobs, even if they are not aggressive, are social to all the mobs in the catacombs whatsoever, and all the other mobs of the opposing sides are social to the neutrals. And as soon as you touch such a neutral, the whole room aggroes on you. Keep that in mind.

All the dungeons by levels

As you see, the levels of the mobs are spread over the dungeons so that you can pick catacombs for any level; just keep levelling.
