Instanced dungeons: entry rules, time limits and cooldowns

An instanced dungeon is a private copy of a zone opened for one party or one raid, with a timer inside and a cooldown after it. This page explains how the entry works, what happens when you die, relog or run out of time, and where the instances of High Five described on this site are.

How the entry works

Every instance is entered through an NPC, and each has conditions of its own: a level range, a party size, sometimes an item or a quest. The request is made by the party leader, and the whole party is moved into a copy of the zone that nobody else can enter.

How an instance ends

An instance is erased when everyone has left it: Nornil's Garden and Dark Cloud Mansion at once, Crystal Caverns and the dungeons of castles and fortresses twenty minutes later. The command /instancezone shows which instances your character still has on cooldown and for how long.
