Little Wing's Big Adventure

Little Wing's Big Adventure is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 45+. It starts with Cronos in Hunters Village.

Raising a fat, lazy hatchling isn't an easy task! You shall now reap the harvest of your hard work!

Little Wing's Big Adventure walkthrough

The quest for the strider: Little Wing's Big Adventure. To do it you must have a little dragon, a Hatchling, and it must be above level 55. The little dragon can be bought from players, or you can do the quest for it: Little Wing. After the strider quest you get a strider of the same type the hatchling was: if it was wind, you get wind, and in no way star or twilight. I did the quest on the Java build from Lucera, as right now only there I have characters of the fitting levels and unburdensome levelling. I suspect there will be differences on PTS.

  1. Hunters Village. Find Elder Cronos by the bridge and take the quest.

So, you have levelled the little dragon to 55 and can take the strider quest. I levelled with summoners, but here I changed the cat summoner for a Sorcerer, a mage after all; as it turned out later, I need not have changed. The quest is taken from Elder Cronos in Hunters Village. The little dragon must be summoned.

  2. The Enchanted Valley (teleport from Hunters Village). Talk to Fairy Mimyu. You receive: Fairy Leaf ×4.

Cronos sends us not very far, namely to Fairy Mimyu, who is in the Enchanted Valley, where we have already been in the previous quest; if somebody did not do it, you have to teleport to the northern entrance and run along the corridors to the first glade. The fairy gives four little green leaves and says a heap of various words; read them if you feel like it. Actually the leaves should have different names, but on Java I was handed four identical ones in one stack. Never mind.

  3. After that we gather a heap of people. Actually this quest could be called a healers' quest, as we will have to heal everything in sight. Whom do we need? First, somebody with a nuke, sleep and heal, to summon and control the little dragon and to beat or sleep the guards of the trees. Second, a separate healer to heal the tree, who must not be distracted by anything; I took an Elven Elder. A Prophet for the buff. And beyond that as it comes; just in case I took a Bladedancer.

  4. From Hunters Village we run to the location Hunters Valley, pass all the Karul Bugbears on the right side; there will be a climb up, we go up and at once to the right, past the raid boss Thief Kelbar (it always stands there), and behind it we see a stone arch, behind which the first quest tree stands. Besides the note that it is a quest monster, you can see that the tree has very bright leaves: there is no way to confuse it with the others.

  5. I flew under the arch with all the characters at once, and all the little guards attacked me straight away; while I was figuring out what was what and whether they could be beaten now, they took half the HP off my level 52 mage. I killed the guards, moved further off and started buffing. We take the claws off the little dragon, so that it does not deal heavy damage to the tree, and buff it only for defence plus haste, as what matters here is that it hits not hard but fast. Everybody buffed, I killed the guards (they all fall from one nuke) and sent the little dragon to beat the tree (we do not turn the pet's soulshots on). Meanwhile the Elven Elder took the tree in target to heal it. The tree has to be healed with Ctrl, like an ordinary mob. The little dragon, the rascal, crit almost every other hit even without buffs, so the Elven Elder was not left without work. With the main character, the one that controls the little dragon, I watched the respawn of the guards: at first I slept them, as everybody advises, then I noticed that their respawn is not that fast and simply nuked them. It is quite possible that the respawn time of the guards depends on the build, so it is better to kill the guards first and see how long the respawn takes. If it is 15-20 seconds, you can nuke; if much less, you will have to assign a separate character to sleep the guards.

  6. What do we need from the quest trees? The little dragon has to beat the tree until one leaf disappears. Here it is better to turn the sound up, as no message appears in the system chat when a leaf disappears, but there is a sound signal, and that is what you have to hear. After the signal we press "stop" on the little dragon, it runs back to us, and we can go to the next tree. Just in case, check your quest inventory to see whether the leaf has gone.

  7. The second tree is a little to the left; there are already aggressive mobs nearby, kill them all so that they do not get in the way. We are already buffed, so we fly up to the tree at once, bring the guards down and send the little dragon to beat the tree. We do not forget to heal the tree with the Elven Elder (or whomever you took with you). In general it is rather awkward to move about here: a heap of trees around, the view is blocked all the time. We do our dark deed, the second leaf disappears, and we go further along the slope. As you have already noticed, we keep getting closer to the fort, and the last two trees stand much nearer to it than the first two. The last tree stands right next to the fort.

  8. Talk to Fairy Mimyu again.

When all four leaves have disappeared, you can return to Hunters Village. The character controlling the pet teleports with it to the Enchanted Valley again and runs to the fairy. The first time we talk to her with the pet summoned, then we unsummon it and talk once more. The flute is taken from us and we are given a Dragon Bugle, a horn for calling the strider. We do not forget to buy food for the strider, and now we can frolic.

  9. While we were beating the trees, one of the little guards respawned behind a tree, and I took the target badly and nuked not the guard but the tree itself. And right then I felt really bad: arms and legs would not obey, some glitches running before my eyes. Seriously, though: when you hit a tree, a debuff is hung on you, the fairy's curse, which nothing will remove; after the quest I had to go to the Monster Derby Track and kill myself against a wall there, and only then did it disappear. If you did manage to knock a tree down, do not despair, it will respawn after a while. All four trees took me 20 minutes.

  10. That is all: the quest is done, the strider is received, everybody rejoices and claps their hands. At special NPCs the strider can be turned into a wyvern, to fly over the world of Elmoraden. Only do not come down low, or you may get shot down. The wyvern does spit fire, of course, but I had a case: once I was running about Varka, and one pest latched on to me and spat magic at me too; I had to blast him with such a series of crits that he fell from the sky to the ground for a long time, swearing hard. That is, the wyvern does not protect from attacks of other players.

Tips

Quest journal

  1. In Search of Mimyu

Elder Cronos suggests you consult Fairy Mimyu concerning the raising of Hatchling to Strider.

  2. The Sap of Fairy Trees

Fairy Mimyu examines your hatchling and tells you the story of the four fairy trees and their guardians. She tells you to feed the sap of these trees to your hatchling. Go to each of the four fairy trees of wind, star, twilight and abyss and let your hatchling drink their sap. You must guard your hatchling as it drinks. When it has finished drinking, attach a fairy leaf to the fairy tree.

  3. Return to Fairy Mimyu

Your hatchling has drunk the sap of all four fairy trees-- the wind, star, twilight and abyss. The preparations for its growth have been completed. Return to Fairy Mimyu.
