Gather the Flames

Gather the Flames is a repeatable, party quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 74–80. It starts with Vulcan in Hall of Flames.

Vulcan is collecting flames in the lower level of the Forge of the Gods. He'll give you a special reward if you defeat all the monsters there and bring him the flames that you collect.

Gather the Flames walkthrough

There are two quests for getting the recipes of S-grade weapons: one of them is done in the Forge of the Gods, the other in the Imperial Tomb (Relics of the Old Empire). In my opinion the quest in the IT takes longer: the quest items drop less often there, and the mobs deep in the Imperial Tomb are more unpredictable. When you hand the quest in you get one random recipe of an S weapon, but there is a condition under which you can choose the recipe you need yourself; I will tell about it below.

  1. Hall of Flames. Take the quest from Blacksmith of Flame Vulcan.

It is taken at level 74 from Vulcan, who stands at the noble TP on the lower level of the Forge of the Gods.

  2. He offers to kill the local monsters, from which torches (Torch) drop into the quest inventory. Having gathered 1000 (and again that awfully big number) items, we hand them to the NPC and get one random little recipe of an S weapon.

  3. Return to Blacksmith of Flame Vulcan to complete the quest. Hand over: Torch ×1,000.

Tips

  • If you farm 1200 items and find the blacksmith Rooney in the Forge of the Gods, you can trade him the torches for the recipe you need from a list. Rooney dashes about between different rooms, but usually those who have seen him give his whereabouts away in the hero chat.

  1. Collecting Flames

Blacksmith Vulcan is collecting the Torches located in the lower level of the Forge of the Gods. You can obtain them by slaying the monsters within the Forge of the Gods. Take 1,000 Torches to Vulcan and he will give you a random S-grade weapon recipe.

Blacksmith Rooney, who is wandering in the Forge of the Gods, is also collecting the Torches. Take 1,200 Torches to him and he will give you an S-grade weapon recipe of your choice.
