The Guard is Busy
The Guard is Busy is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 6–16. It starts with Gilbert in Talking Island.
The plan to move the people of Gludio to Talking Island has been announced. But still there are too many Monsters in the Island.
The Guard is Busy walkthrough
The quest The Guard is Busy, for soulshots or spiritshots and adena. Start level: 6. Start location: the human village. Start NPC: Captain Gilbert (Gilbert). No requirements. Repeatable. Only for humans. Reward: shots (at the first handing in of the quest) and adena.
Talking Island. Take the quest from Captain Gilbert.
The quest for no-grade shots is available from level 6 and is taken from Captain Gilbert, the guard who stands at the gate at the entrance to the village (if you stand facing the newbie helper in the village, at the gate on the right). He sends you to beat various orcs and werewolves; the mobs can be found on the way to the Obelisk of Victory, to which we ran in the previous quests. And there are so many mobs and they are so different that as many as three kinds of items drop from them.
Hunt Orc (lv. 6), Orc Grunt (lv. 7), Orc Archer (lv. 8) until you have:
Orc Amulet. Where: Talking Island, Eastern Territory, Talking Island Harbor. From the small orcs of level 6-8 (Orc, Orc Grunt, Orc Archer) Orc Amulet drops.
Hunt Orc Fighter (lv. 10), Orc Lieutenant (lv. 11), Orc Fighter Leader (lv. 12) until you have:
Orc's Necklace. Where: Talking Island Harbor, Singing Waterfall. From the orcs of level 10 and higher (Orc Fighter, Orc Lieutenant, Orc Fighter Leader) Orc's Necklace drops.
Hunt Werewolf (lv. 9), Werewolf Hunter (lv. 10), Werewolf Chieftain (lv. 12) until you have:
Werewolf's Fang. Where: Obelisk of Victory, Talking Island, Northern Territory. From the werewolves of various levels (Werewolf, Werewolf Hunter, Werewolf Chieftain) Werewolf's Fang drops. The drop of the items is not 100%, I would even say not 100% at all. At first I thought it depended on how many people beat this quest at the same time, but no: I checked on a test server, and everything was quite bad there, though I was alone on the server.
Return to Captain Gilbert.
At the first handing in of the quest you are given either 6000 soulshots for beginners or 3000 spiritshots for beginners (depending on whether you are a warrior or a mage) and a little adena; at all the later ones, only adena. And, as is usual in all these starting quests for adena, there are rules of optimal handing in of the items to get the maximum of adena. I show it by the example of the items Orc Amulet. Each item costs 10 adena, BUT when 10 items are handed in, a bonus of 1000 adena is given. And however many items above those 10 you hand in, the bonus is given only once per handing in, and all the items are still counted at 10 adena. That is, there is no sense in farming a huge quantity of items, because whether you hand in ten pieces or a thousand, the bonus is given only once. So it is much more profitable to run to the nearest orcs, farm 10 pieces and at once run to hand them in, getting the bonus every time. A clear example: if you hand in 100 items at once, you get 1000 + 1000 = 2000 adena, and if you run and hand in 10 at a time, you get 1100 * 10 = 11000 adena. Is there a difference? There is, and a substantial one.
In the C1 chronicles everything is very complicated: no shots are given, there are no bonuses at all. For 24 amulets I was given 135 adena, for handing in 68 fangs and 80 necklaces at once, something about 1800 adena. In the C3 chronicles shots were not given for this quest either; I stress it specially, as some players have figured out by themselves that there will be shots in the reward on C2. There are none there.
