Mimir's Elixir
Mimir's Elixir is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 75+. It starts with Ladd in Ivory Tower.
The star of destiny changes the fate of anyone who holds it! What is the secret of the ancient giants?
Mimir's Elixir walkthrough
Having done the whole chain of subclass quests, we come to the last of them, Mimir's Elixir. The quest is taken on the 4th floor of the Ivory Tower from Magister Ladd (Ladd). You need the quest Fate's Whisper done and the item
Star of Destiny in the quest inventory.
Ivory Tower. Find Magister Ladd on the Dark Elven floor of the tower and take the quest.
Magister Ladd takes the bull by the horns at once: no talking until you bring him the item called Pure Silver.
And this item we can get only through the quest Supplier of Reagents. We read the description of that quest, take it, run about for a long time and farm the reagents (or buy them), brew Pure Silver (
Pure Silver; it is brewed at the first temperature, a condition of the quest) and go to Ladd again.Talk to Magister Ladd again. Hand over:
Pure Silver. Now he wants the item True Gold.
Talk to Magister Joan.
We go to the 3rd floor of the Ivory Tower, to the NPC Joan (the wretch who lost her memory in the imp quest).
Silent Valley (teleport from Town of Aden). Hunt Chimera Piece (lv. 73) until you have:
Sage's Stone. In this quest her head seems to be all right, so we set off to the location Silent Valley; right at the teleport point we catch the nearest heaps of mobs with Chimera Piece and beat the tigers.
Ivory Tower. Return to Magister Joan. Hand over:
Sage's Stone. You receive:
True Gold.As soon as the quest item Sage's Stone drops, we carry it to Joan, and she gives True Gold instead of it.
Return to Magister Ladd on the Dark Elven floor of the tower. Hand over:
True Gold. You receive:
Magister's Mixing Stone. We return to Ladd again; now he gives us Magister's Mixing Stone and says that the last reagent for making Mimir's Elixir remains to be got: Blood Fire from the location Antharas' Lair.
Antharas' Lair (teleport from Town of Giran). Hunt Bloody Guardian (lv. 75) until you have:
Blood Fire. The mob Bloody Guardian lives from the middle of the location on; how to get to it, see the description of the location (Antharas' Lair). Best of all is to be summoned to the Kariks, but if that does not work out, you will have to go on foot. It even happens that you do not get through at the first try. I, for one, even caught paralysis, and that was the end of me... True, I had managed to knock the item out.
Ivory Tower. Find Alchemist's Mixing Urn in the basement. Hand over:
Pure Silver,
True Gold,
Blood Fire. You receive:
Mimir's Elixir.Having got Blood Fire, we fly straight to the Ivory Tower, to the basement, to the Alchemist's Mixing Urn. We put Magister's Mixing Stone into it and start loading the reagents for brewing the elixir into the cauldron: Pure Silver, True Gold and Blood Fire. The elixir has to be brewed at the third temperature: that is an obligatory condition of the quest.
Return to Magister Ladd on the Dark Elven floor of the tower. Hand over:
Mimir's Elixir. You receive:
Scroll: Enchant Weapon (A-Grade).Having brewed Mimir's Elixir, we go to Ladd again; he offers to drink the elixir (do not click the phial): simply choose in the dialogue with the NPC the line "Drink the elixir" (it is the only one there, no variants). All the quest items of this quest disappear, you are given one A-grade weapon enchant scroll as a reward, and now you can add subclasses.
We level the subclass to 75, and then the noblesse quests can be done: Possessor of a Precious Soul - 1.
Tips
- Pure silver is mixed in the Alchemist's Mixing Urn in the basement of the Ivory Tower. Ten
Moonstone Shard with
Volcanic Ash give one
Moon Dust; ten
Moon Dust with
Quicksilver give
Lunargent;
Lunargent with
Quicksilver once more gives
Pure Silver. Wesley explains the mixing as part of his quest Supplier of Reagents.
Lunargent can be traded, so the alchemy part can be shortened by buying it from another player.
