Light and Darkness
Light and Darkness is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 61+. It starts with Hierarch in Rune Territory.
The Hierarch is attempting to make it possible to perform his ritual on the Altar of Saints.

One more exp quest done in the location Valley of Saints. Start level: 61. Start NPC: Hierarch (Hierarch). Requirement: the quest Sweet Whispers done. Not repeatable. Reward: exp and SP.
Valley of Saints (teleport from Rune Township). Take the quest from Hierarch.
In the location there are five caves in which five absolutely identical NPCs Hierarch live; they are simply duplicated, that is, you can take the quest from one and hand it in to quite another, there is no difference. Where these NPCs are is told in detail in the introductory quest of the location, Sweet Whispers. By the task of the NPC, who is clearly a supporter of the dark forces, we have to run round and desecrate four holy altars, Altar of Saints. The order of going round the altars is chosen at random in the quest, and it is not a fact that the altar that is first for you will not be fourth for another player, so I will give you the places of all the altars, and you will figure out where to run: just look at the map, where the mark stands. Some of these altars you have seen before, some you will see for the first time. All the altars are on the surface, there is no need to crawl into any caves; some of them are simply in places where players do not really run.
The first altar is at the entrance to the location: from the teleport point you run straight between the two NPCs and on straight ahead. The second altar you have seen quite often: it is where we spoil the recipes for the Dark Crystal robe; I usually seat my buffers at this altar, there are no mobs there. The third altar we have all seen more than once too: it is the place where we knock out the recipe for the Tallum gloves. That is, from the second altar, keeping to the right wall, you have to climb up the path, go across the glade there and cross the little bridge on which I always keep my buffers, and on through the mobs to the next glade, where I actually farm the recipes. And the last altar you have hardly ever stumbled on, as it is hidden at the very end of the location. From the third altar we run on through the mobs until we come to the little bridge that leads to the raid boss Flame of Splendor Barakiel, needed for the noblesse quest. We cross the bridge but do not go to Barakiel; we turn right and again run through the mobs until we come up against a wall. Down in a cleft the altar is hidden.
Return to Hierarch to complete the quest.
Having desecrated all the altars (ugh, how rude it sounds), we return to the nearest NPC Hierarch and get 105k exp as a reward. In the later chronicles SP was added too, but on Interlude only exp. The NPC says that he now trusts you almost completely, and the chance opens to take the quest The Coming Darkness from the same NPC.
