Light and Darkness
Light and Darkness es una quest de Lineage 2 Scryde (única, en solitario) para personajes de nivel 61+. Empieza con Hierarch en Rune Territory.
El Hierarch intenta hacer posible la celebración de su ritual en el Altar of Saints.

Otra quest de experiencia que se hace en la localización Valley of Saints. Nivel inicial: 61. NPC inicial: Hierarch (Hierarch). Requisito: la quest Sweet Whispers hecha. No se repite. Premio: experiencia y SP.
Valley of Saints (teletransporte desde Rune Township). Acepta la quest con Hierarch.
En la localización hay cinco cuevas en las que viven cinco NPC Hierarch absolutamente iguales; simplemente están duplicados, es decir, se puede coger la quest con uno y entregarla a otro totalmente distinto, no hay ninguna diferencia. Dónde están estos NPC se cuenta con detalle en la quest introductoria de la localización, Sweet Whispers. Por encargo del NPC, que es a todas luces partidario de las fuerzas oscuras, tenemos que recorrer y profanar cuatro altares santos, Altar of Saints. El orden de los altares se elige al azar en la quest, y no es seguro que el altar que a ti te toque primero no le toque el cuarto a otro jugador, así que te daré la situación de todos los altares, y ya te apañarás para saber adónde correr: mira el mapa, donde está la marca. Algunos de estos altares ya los has visto, otros los verás por primera vez. Todos los altares están en la superficie, no hay que meterse en ninguna cueva; simplemente algunos están en sitios por donde los jugadores no suelen correr.
El primer altar está en la entrada de la localización: desde el punto de teleport entras recto entre los dos NPC y sigues recto. El segundo altar lo has visto bastante a menudo: es donde spoileamos las recetas de la túnica Dark Crystal; yo suelo sentar a mis buffers junto a este altar, allí no hay mobs. El tercer altar también lo hemos visto todos más de una vez: es el sitio donde sacamos la receta de los guantes Tallum. Es decir, desde el segundo altar, pegado a la pared derecha, hay que subir por el sendero, pasar por el claro y cruzar el puentecito en el que siempre tengo a mis buffers, y seguir entre los mobs hasta el siguiente claro, donde yo saco las recetas. Y con el último altar difícilmente te habrás topado, porque está escondido al final del todo de la localización. Desde el tercer altar seguimos corriendo entre los mobs hasta llegar al puentecito que lleva al raid boss Flame of Splendor Barakiel, el de la quest de noblesse. Cruzamos el puentecito, pero no entramos donde Barakiel; giramos a la derecha y otra vez corremos entre los mobs hasta dar con una pared. Abajo, en una grieta, está escondido el altar.
Vuelve con Hierarch para completar la quest.
Profanados todos los altares (uf, qué mal suena), volvemos con el NPC Hierarch más cercano y recibimos de premio 105k de experiencia. En crónicas posteriores añadieron también SP, pero en Interlude solo experiencia. El NPC dice que ahora confía en ti casi por completo, y se abre la posibilidad de coger con el mismo NPC la quest The Coming Darkness.
