Light and Darkness é uma quest do Lineage 2 Scryde (única, solo) para personagens de nível 61+. Começa com Hierarch em Rune Territory.

Passo a passo de Light and Darkness
Mais uma quest de exp feita na localização Valley of Saints. Nível inicial: 61. NPC inicial: Hierarch (Hierarch). Requisito: a quest Sweet Whispers feita. Não se repete. Prêmio: exp e SP.
Valley of Saints (teleporte a partir de Rune Township). Aceite a quest com Hierarch.
Na localização há cinco cavernas em que vivem cinco NPCs Hierarch absolutamente iguais; eles são simplesmente duplicados, ou seja, dá para pegar a quest com um e entregar a outro bem diferente, não há diferença nenhuma. Onde ficam esses NPCs é contado em detalhe na quest introdutória da localização, Sweet Whispers. Pela tarefa do NPC, que é claramente partidário das forças sombrias, precisamos percorrer e profanar quatro altares santos, Altar of Saints. A ordem dos altares é escolhida aleatoriamente na quest, e não é certo que o altar que for o primeiro para você não seja o quarto para outro jogador, então vou dar a posição de todos os altares, e você descobre para onde correr: é só olhar no mapa onde está a marquinha. Alguns desses altares você já viu antes, outros vai ver pela primeira vez. Todos os altares ficam na superfície, não é preciso entrar em caverna nenhuma; só que alguns ficam em lugares por onde os jogadores não costumam correr.
O primeiro altar fica na entrada da localização: do ponto de teleporte você entra reto entre os dois NPCs e segue reto. O segundo altar você viu com bastante frequência: é onde spoilamos as receitas da robe Dark Crystal; eu costumo sentar os meus buffers junto a esse altar, lá não há mobs. O terceiro altar todos nós também já vimos mais de uma vez: é o lugar onde tiramos a receita das luvas Tallum. Ou seja, do segundo altar, rente à parede direita, é preciso subir pela trilha, atravessar a clareira e cruzar a pontezinha em que sempre deixo os meus buffers, e seguir pelos mobs até a próxima clareira, onde eu tiro as receitas. Já no último altar você dificilmente esbarrou, porque ele está escondido bem no fim da localização. Do terceiro altar corremos adiante pelos mobs até chegar à pontezinha que leva ao raid boss Flame of Splendor Barakiel, necessário para a quest de noblesse. Atravessamos a pontezinha, mas não vamos até o Barakiel; viramos à direita e de novo corremos pelos mobs até dar em uma parede. Embaixo, em uma fenda, está escondido o altar.
Volte até Hierarch para concluir a quest.
Profanados todos os altares (ui, como soa rude), voltamos ao NPC Hierarch mais próximo e recebemos de prêmio 105k de exp. Nas crônicas seguintes acrescentaram também SP, mas no Interlude só exp. O NPC diz que agora confia em você quase totalmente, e abre-se a possibilidade de pegar com o mesmo NPC a quest The Coming Darkness.
