A Game of Cards is a repeatable, party quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 61–80. It starts with Klump in Town of Aden.

Warehouse Chief Klump of the Town of Aden spends most of his time playing cards. The word is that anyone who can beat him will win a generous prize.

A Game of Cards walkthrough

The quest A Game of Cards for weapon and armor enchant scrolls from D to S grade. It is taken at level 61 from Warehouse Chief Klump (Klump), who stands in the warehouse of the glorious town of Aden. It is handy to do this quest together with the quest Seductive Whispers, as the mobs of both quests stand side by side: blue balls from those, red balls from these; in short, when you return to Aden, you can play on both quests at once.

Town of Aden. Find Warehouse Chief Klump in the warehouse and take the quest.
The dwarf tells you that red balls, Red Gem, will drop from the mobs into your ordinary inventory (they can be handed over and sold or bought); as soon as you collect 50, you can play a card game with him. Of course it is better to come to him when you have farmed more balls, say from 1000: then it is really interesting to play. From time to time you will notice heaps of D armor scrolls lying next to Klump: somebody came to play and there were too many scrolls.
Swamp of Screams (teleport from Rune Township). Hunt Splinter Stakato (lv. 66), Splinter Stakato Soldier (lv. 68), Needle Stakato (lv. 70), Needle Stakato Soldier (lv. 72) until you have: Red Gem ×50.
About the mobs: there are very many of them, here are the locations where the items drop and the mobs themselves. Valley of Saints: Eye of Splendor, Wisdom of Splendor, Victory of Splendor, Signet of Splendor. Swamp of Screams: Splinter Stakato, Splinter Stakato Soldier, Needle Stakato, Needle Stakato Soldier. Fields of Massacre: Doom Scout, Dismal Pole, Doom Servant, Doom Archer, Doom Warrior. Blazing Swamp: Tulben, Hames Orc Scout, Hames Orc Footman, Cursed Guardian, Hames Orc Overlord. Seal of Shilen: Blood Queen, Trives, Falibati, Doom Knight. Ancient Battleground: Ghostly Warrior, Bloody Priest, Bloody Knight of level 65, Dark Guard, Death Agent. Silent Valley: Chimera Piece, Nonexistent Man, Forgotten Ancient People, Shaman of Ancient Times. Around Goddard: Antelope, Buffalo. They say the balls also drop from somebody in the Beast Farm; I really do not remember from whom, certainly not from the mobs that are fed, maybe from the guards.

The game itself is a cut-down variant of poker. You are dealt 5 cards, and you simply have to open them one by one in any order. Unlike real poker, the cards are not changed here: what you are dealt is what you have to make combinations of.
The combinations of cards are also taken here in a cut-down form, and there are only six of them. A pair, two cards of one name (for example two queens of different suits or two kings of different suits): the reward is two Scroll: Enchant Armor (D-Grade). Two pairs: one Scroll: Enchant Weapon (C-Grade). Three of a kind, three cards of one name (for example three kings): two Scroll: Enchant Weapon (C-Grade). Full House (what NCsoft means by that I do not know, apparently 3+2): one Scroll: Enchant Weapon (A-Grade), two Scroll: Enchant Weapon (B-Grade) and one Scroll: Enchant Weapon (D-Grade). Four of a kind, four cards of one name (for example four queens): two Scroll: Enchant Weapon (B-Grade) and two Scroll: Enchant Weapon (C-Grade). Five cards of one type, apparently four of a kind plus a joker: three Scroll: Enchant Weapon (S-Grade) and one Scroll: Enchant Weapon (A-Grade). There is one more nuance here: I have not yet met anybody who hit this jackpot, and by rumours this reward also includes items that can be sold to a shop for 42kk adena each (which makes a quite unreal sum, found in the rewards of no other quest of the game).
On different servers the drop of the red beads is set up differently, so notice at once to whom and how the red gems drop. I have seen such variants: from every mob; rather rarely; to anybody in the party who has taken the quest; only to the one who beats the mob; and a variant like this: to everybody in the party, but if the party has a character with the quest taken who is far from the party, the drop falls sharply.

Oh yeah? You're very cautious, I see. This game largely depends on luck, so I think it's a good idea to trust your intuition. When you feel like it, come back and challenge me again.

It's very simple. There are 70 cards, made up of 5 suits with 14 characters in each suit. You draw 5 cards from the lot, and if you get one of the combination of cards below, you can be rewarded.
Five of a kind: Five cards containing the same character.Four of a kind: Four cards containing the same character.Full house: Three cards with the same character aLong with two cards with the same character.Three of a kind: Three cards with the same character.Two pairs: Two pairs of cards with the same characters in each pair.One pair: Two cards with the same character.
If you don't have any of the hands I just mentioned, it's called having "no pair", and you don't get anything. Of course, a five of a kind is rare, so the reward for getting it is high; on the other hand, one pair is the easiest hand to get, so you'll receive only the lowest reward.

Actually, a fellow named Hindemith left these cards. Looks like they have some kind of message on them, but I have no idea what that means... I just use them to play cards... Ha ha ha!

You can obtain red gems from many evil creatures.
