Heart in Search of Power

Heart in Search of Power is a repeatable, party quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 60–71. It starts with Mysterious Necromancer in Valley of Saints.

The Mysterious Necromancer stands morosely near the entrance of the Valley of Saints. He says that he's gathering materials for his research into increased power.

One more quest for resources, done in Valley of Saints. The starting level is 60, it is repeatable, and the reward is adena or resources of your choice.

  1. Valley of Saints (teleport from Rune Township). Take the quest from Mysterious Necromancer.

    The NPC stands right at the entrance to the location, you only have to run across a small clearing.

  2. Hunt Blade of Splendor (lv. 61), Flash of Splendor (lv. 61), Wisdom of Splendor (lv. 62), Shout of Splendor (lv. 65), Victory of Splendor (lv. 64) until you have: Bead of Obedience ×300.

    We hunt any mobs in the location, the quest items drop from all of them. You have to farm as many as 300, and of course the items do not drop from every mob (though that probably depends on the server).

  3. Return to Mysterious Necromancer. Hand over: Bead of Obedience ×300. You receive: Seal of Light.

    We bring the farmed quest items to the starting NPC; he takes them and hands out a quest brooch (at least it looks like a brooch, and what the Koreans had in mind nobody knows).

  4. Talk to Enfeux. Hand over: Seal of Light. You receive: Gem of Saints.

    This item has to be carried to the very centre of the location: it is the place where we spoil the Alliance of Splendor mobs, and between two big clearings there stands some kind of mountain with half-transparent windows you can walk through. The NPC stands inside. We insert the item into the NPC (sounds wild enough; I wonder where exactly it goes in?) and get a gem in exchange.

  5. Return to Mysterious Necromancer to complete the quest. Hand over: Gem of Saints.

    We rush back to the starting NPC, hand the item in and choose a reward. The amount of the reward is not written there, so I give it here. You can get, at your choice: adena, 100k; Asofe, 13; Thons, 13; Enria, 6; Mold Hardener, 3.

Tips

  • If you ask me, an absolutely pointless quest even on x1 rates. You may say it will do as extra income, but here I do not quite agree. Farming 300 items is one thing, but then you have to go back to the NPC, then run to the centre of the location, then to the NPC again. And for all that you get 3 pitiful blue molds? In the time spent on all this running about I will spoil 30 of them from Buffalo Slave.
  • Though of course it is not for me to teach you: you can also park a cat in the centre of the location and use a SoE to town from there. Go for it.

All I know so far is that the remains of saints are in a place called Enfeux, which is sealed.

I must make a seal from beads of obedience to unlock it. Beads of obedience control the thoughts of the creatures that guard the Valley of Saints. Bring me 300 of them. You can take them from the Eye of Splendor, Flash of Splendor, Blade of Splendor, Wisdom of Splendor, Soul of Splendor, Victory of Splendor, Punishment of Splendor, Shout of Splendor, Signet of Splendor, Crown of Splendor and Wailing of Splendor. Enfeux is in the deepest part of the Valley of Saints. It's marked on this Map. You can take it with you. To extract the remains of saints, you must insert this Seal of Light into the space to the right side of Enfeux. After activating it with the seal, you can take out the remains of saints. I hope you can bring back as many as possible, but remember, the Seal of Light can be used only once.
