Succession to the Legend, Doomcryer

Succession to the Legend, Doomcryer is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 C4: Scions of Destiny for characters of level 76+. It starts with Rahorakti in The Pagan Temple.

The warnings of the ancestors echo down through the centuries. You must gather many more noble souls if you're to survive!

Succession to the Legend, Doomcryer walkthrough

The third class transfer for a Warcryer: this saga turns the character into a Doomcryer at level 76. Like every saga it is a long pilgrimage across the continent. Your allies here are Duda-Mara Totem Spirit and Donath, the route runs past six Tablets of Vision, and the three fights are against Sharuhi Mouth Mudaha, Archon of Halisha and Lizard's Totem Sharuhi.

Allies and the first amulet

  1. Rune Township. Find Grand Seer Rahorakti in the temple and take the quest.

  2. Town of Goddard. Find Duda-Mara Totem Spirit in the Orc Guild.

  3. Hot Springs (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Master Chef Donath.

    He asks for Cryolite.

  4. Cryolite is the reward of the repeatable quest The Finest Ingredients - Part 1, which Jeremy gives at the Hot Springs.

  5. Talk to Master Chef Donath again. You receive: Bitter Cold Vodka.

  6. Town of Goddard. Return to Duda-Mara Totem Spirit in the Orc Guild. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 1.

First three tablets

  1. Plains of Glory. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

  2. Valley of Saints (teleport from Rune Township). Hunt Guardian of Forbidden Knowledge (lv. 76) until you have: Resonance Amulet - 2.

    The guardians stand around the second tablet. Keep killing them until one leaves the amulet.

  3. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

  4. Shrine of Loyalty. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    Touching the third tablet calls Sharuhi Mouth Mudaha. The monster stays only for a short time, so be ready to fight before you talk.

  5. Kill Sharuhi Mouth Mudaha (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 3.

  6. Return to Tablet of Vision.

Divine Stone and the fourth tablet

  1. Town of Goddard. Find Seer Skahi in the Orc Guild.

    Choose whom to help, the Ketra orcs or the Varka Silenos. Either way you must bring Divine Stone of Wisdom: the Ketra messenger Wahkan gives it for the quest Magical Power of Water - Part 1, the Varka messenger Naran Ashanuk for Magical Power of Fire - Part 1. Both quests need an alliance of level 2 or higher with that side.

  2. Talk to Seer Skahi again. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 4.

  3. Monastery of Silence (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

Halisha's minions and the last tablets

  1. Town of Goddard. Return to Seer Skahi in the Orc Guild.

  2. Shrine of Loyalty. Hunt Grave Scarab (lv. 73), Scavenger Scarab (lv. 73), Grave Ant (lv. 74), Scavenger Ant (lv. 74), Shrine Knight (lv. 75), Shrine Guard (lv. 75) until you have: Halisha's Mark ×700.

    With 700 marks in the bag the next kills bring out Archon of Halisha, who attacks you at once. A faster way for a strong party is to kill an Archon of Halisha inside the Four Sepulchers: it counts as well.

  3. Kill Archon of Halisha (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 5.

  4. Wall of Argos (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

  5. Rune Harbor. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    At the sixth tablet Lizard's Totem Sharuhi appears together with Tarkai Zu Duda-Mara. Attack the monster until it withdraws, then talk to Tarkai Zu Duda-Mara: the last amulet comes from that conversation.

  6. Talk to Tablet of Vision again.

    You must have Resonance Amulet - 6 from the previous step to commune with the tablet.

  7. Rune Township. Return to Grand Seer Rahorakti in the temple to complete the quest.

Tips

  • Collect Cryolite and Divine Stone of Wisdom before you start: both come from side quests, and with them in the bag the saga is one continuous trip.
  • The marks are counted per character, but monsters of the Shrine of Loyalty die much faster in a party, and several players can collect at the same time.
  • The class changes in the final talk with Rahorakti, so come back at level 76 or higher.

  1. The Pilgrimage Begins

    Seer Tarkai Zu Duda-Mara left to prepare for the eternal winter. He left a message for his successor to go to the Duda-Mara Totem Spirit. Go there.

  2. Find the Legendary Dish

    The Duda-Mara Totem Spirit orders you to give him some bitter cold vodka if you want real power. Master Chef Donath in Goddard can make it.

  3. Searching for Ingredients

    Chef Donath needs ice crystals to make bitter cold vodka. You can get some ice crystals if you do what Chef Jeremy asks.

  4. Completed Dish

    Master Chef Donath makes you the bitter cold vodka. He said it is of slightly lower quality than the real stuff, but should be good enough. Take it to Prefect Lakan of Goddard Castle Town.

  5. The First Communion

    You've got the Stone of Commune. Commune with the Tablet of Vision that is just south of the Tower of Insolence.

    The Guardians of Forbidden Knowledge near the Tablet of Vision have the second Stone of Commune. Destroy them and take their Stone of Commune.

    You've got the Stone of Commune from the Guardians of Forbidden Knowledge. Commune with the Tablet of Vision.

    After communing with the second tablet, you sense Sharuhi Mouth Mudaha waiting for you at the third tablet. Read articles about possession and get ready for a vicious battle.

  9. The Third Communion

    You've defeated Sharuhi Mouth Mudaha and taken the Stone of Commune. His obsession with power was his downfall. Instead of seeking help from the spirits of the ancestors, he tried to control and rule over them and use their power at his whim. Commune with the third Tablet of Vision while meditating on the meaning of control and power.

  10. A Time to Choose

    Seer Skahi in Goddard Castle Town has the fourth Stone of Commune. Visit him and get the fourth Stone of Commune.

    To get the Divine Stone of Wisdom, you must gain the trust of the Ketra Orcs. Speak with Wahkan, their messenger.

  14. Meeting Skahi Again

    The fifth Stone of Commune was in the hands of Seer Skahi. Meet him and ask him about the fifth Stone of Commune.

    The Archon of Halisha has the fifth Stone of Commune. Lure the archon out by attacking his minions in the Shrine of the Loyal or attack him inside the Imperial Tomb.

  16. The Fifth Communion

    You've got the fifth Stone of Commune. Now head to the fifth tablet in the northwestern corner of the Wall of Argos.

    You see Sharuhi, escaped from Mudaha, thrashing about, as if refusing to become a spirit again. To prepare for the eternal winter, you must get as many spirits as possible! Listen to Tarkai and speak with it!

  18. The Sixth Communion

    After vanquishing Sharuhi, Tarkai commends you, gives you the Stone of Commune and leaves. Perform the sixth communion with the stone.
