Succession to the Legend, Duelist walkthrough

The third class transfer for a Gladiator: this saga turns the character into a Duelist at level 76. Like every saga it is a long pilgrimage across the continent. Your allies here are Arena Director and Donath, the route runs past six Tablets of Vision, and the three fights are against Ancient Sword Master Iron, Archon of Halisha and Fallen Angel Metellus.

Allies and the first amulet

1. Town of Aden. Find Grand Master Sedrick in the Warriors Guild and take the quest.

   

   

2. Coliseum (teleport from Town of Aden). Talk to Arena Director.

   

   

3. Hot Springs (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Master Chef Donath.

   He asks for two things: Cryolite and Top Quality Meat.

   

   

4. Cryolite is the reward of the repeatable quest The Finest Ingredients - Part 1, which Jeremy gives at the Hot Springs.

5. Top Quality Meat comes from Tunatun in the Beast Farm: it is the reward of his quest Delicious Top Choice Meat.

6. Talk to Master Chef Donath again. You receive: Multiple Course Meal.

7. Coliseum (teleport from Town of Aden). Return to Arena Director. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 1.

First three tablets

8. Plains of Glory. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

   

   

9. Valley of Saints (teleport from Rune Township). Hunt Guardian of Forbidden Knowledge (lv. 76) until you have: Resonance Amulet - 2.

   The guardians stand around the second tablet. Keep killing them until one leaves the amulet.

   

   

10. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    

    

11. Pilgrim's Temple. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    Touching the third tablet calls Ancient Sword Master Iron. The monster stays only for a short time, so be ready to fight before you talk.

    

    

12. Kill Ancient Sword Master Iron (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 3.

    

13. Return to Tablet of Vision.

Divine Stone and the fourth tablet

14. Rune Township. Find Grand Magister Valdis in the Mages Guild.

    Choose whom to help, the Ketra orcs or the Varka Silenos. Either way you must bring Divine Stone of Wisdom: the Ketra messenger Wahkan gives it for the quest Magical Power of Water - Part 1, the Varka messenger Naran Ashanuk for Magical Power of Fire - Part 1. Both quests need an alliance of level 2 or higher with that side.

    

    

15. Talk to Grand Magister Valdis again. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 4.

16. Monastery of Silence (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    

    

Halisha's minions and the last tablets

17. Town of Goddard. Talk to Master Felix.

    

    

18. Shrine of Loyalty. Hunt Grave Scarab (lv. 73), Scavenger Scarab (lv. 73), Grave Ant (lv. 74), Scavenger Ant (lv. 74), Shrine Knight (lv. 75), Shrine Guard (lv. 75) until you have: Halisha's Mark ×700.

    With 700 marks in the bag the next kills bring out Archon of Halisha, who attacks you at once. A faster way for a strong party is to kill an Archon of Halisha inside the Four Sepulchers: it counts as well.

    

    

19. Kill Archon of Halisha (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 5.

20. Wall of Argos (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    

    

21. Forest of the Dead (teleport from Rune Township). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

    At the sixth tablet Fallen Angel Metellus appears together with Kain Van Halter. Attack the monster until it withdraws, then talk to Kain Van Halter: the last amulet comes from that conversation.

    

    

22. Talk to Tablet of Vision again.

    You must have Resonance Amulet - 6 from the previous step to commune with the tablet.

23. Town of Aden. Return to Grand Master Sedrick in the Warriors Guild to complete the quest.

Quest journal

1. The Pilgrimage Begins

   Only the most powerful Gladiators may become Duelists. Speak with the Arena Director of Aden Coliseum.

2. Find the Legendary Dish

   The Arena Director says he'll tell you anything if you bring him the last dinner, the luxurious meal that the Duelists once ate before battle. To make it, you must meet Master Chef Donath in the hot springs area of Goddard.

3. Searching for Ingredients

   Chef Donath needs ice crystals and top-grade meat in order to make the dish he wishes to prepare.

   You can find ice crystals if you do what Chef Jeremy tells you to do.

   After that, you'll need to steal some meat while looking for top-grade meat in the Beast Pastureland.

4. Completed Dish

   Master Chef Donath uses the ingredients to make you a beautiful meal. Return to the Arena Director at the Coliseum.

5. The First Communion

   You've got the Stone of Commune. Commune with the Tablet of Vision that is just south of the Tower of Insolence.

6. Guardians of the Stone of Commune

   The Guardians of Forbidden Knowledge near the Tablet of Vision have the second Stone of Commune. Destroy them and take their Stone of Commune.

7. The Second Communion

   You've got the Stone of Commune from the Guardians of Forbidden Knowledge. Commune with the Tablet of Vision.

8. Meaning of Victory

   After communing with the second tablet, you sense a fallen Sword Master named Iron. His incredible power proved to be his downfall, and now he's nothing more than an impediment. Read all you can about him and get ready for a vicious battle. He awaits you near the third tablet.

9. The Third Communion

   You've defeated Ancient Sword Master Iron and taken the Stone of Commune. His obsession with victory led him to betray his title of Sword Master.

10. A Time to Choose

    Grand Magister Valdis in the library of Rune Castle Town has the fourth Stone of Commune. Visit him and get it.

11. Joining the Ketras

    To get the Divine Stone of Wisdom, you must gain the trust of the Ketra Orcs. Speak with Wahkan, their messenger.

    To get the Divine Stone of Wisdom, you decided to help the Varka Silenos. Prove yourself to their messenger, Ashanuk, and gain the trust of the Varka Silenos.

13. The Fourth Communion

    You've got the fourth Stone of Commune. Go to the fourth tablet and commune with it.

14. Meet Felix

    Master Felix of Goddard Castle Town has the fifth Stone of Commune. Visit him and get the Stone of Commune.

15. Halisha's Minions

    The Archon of Halisha has the fifth Stone of Commune. Lure the archon out by attacking his minions in the Shrine of the Loyal or attack him inside the Imperial Tomb.

16. The Fifth Communion

    You've got the fifth Stone of Commune. Now head to the fifth tablet. It is in the northwestern corner of the Wall of Argos.

    During the fifth communion, you saw the devil who caused Iron's downfall and gave him eternal life. It was waiting beside the sixth Tablet of Vision. Can you really fight against his power?

18. The Sixth Communion

    After killing Fallen Angel Metellus, Kain Van Halter disappeared, leaving behind a Stone of Commune. Use it to perform the sixth communion.
