Test of the Lord
Test of the Lord is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 39+. It starts with Kakai in Orc Village.
This quest is one of the three marks of:
Overlords are born, not made. To become an Overlord who also holds the position of Chief, the candidate must pass the Test of the Lord. The test to determine if you are worthy to become an Overlord has begun!
Test of the Lord walkthrough
The third quest for the second profession for the Overlord: Test of the Lord. One cannot say the quest is hard, it is simply murky: a heap of tasks is given at once, and not getting tangled in them is extremely difficult, and besides, practically all the descriptions I had seen before contain mistakes. But that we will put right. The point of the quest is to do five tasks given out by five orcs and get five items, which are then exchanged for the mark Mark of Lord. You can do the tasks one after another, or take all five at once. It is better to take them all at once, so as not to rush to the orc village twenty times; simply check against this description from time to time.
Orc Village. Find Flame Lord Kakai in the main hall of the village and take the quest. You receive:
Ordeal Necklace.The quest is taken at level 39 from Flame Lord Kakai, who stands (or rather sits on the throne) in the temple of the orc village on the second floor. Three orcs from whom the tasks are taken stand right here, on the stairs.
Neruga: Axe of Ceremony
Talk to Neruga Chief Tantus. You receive:
Tantus's Charm.Neruga Chief Tantus sends us to Trader Jakal, who stands in the orc village in the weapon and armor shop.
Find Weapon Merchant Jakal in the weapon and armor shop. You receive:
Neruga Axe Blade.The huckster squeezes 1000 adena out of us and gives out an item. We buy 1000 D-grade arrows (Bone Arrow).
Return to Neruga Chief Tantus. You receive:
Axe of Ceremony.And we hand all that in to Tantus; we get the 1st item, the Axe of Ceremony.
Atuba: Huge Orc Fang
Talk to Atuba Chief Varkees. You receive:
Varkee's Charm.Atuba Chief Varkees sends us to Seer Manakia in the orc guild of Giran.
Town of Giran. Find Seer Manakia in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Manakia's Orders.Manakia needs 20 items knocked out of the Breka orcs.
Breka's Stronghold (teleport from Town of Giran). Hunt Breka Orc Shaman (lv. 34), Breka Orc Overlord (lv. 35) until you have:
Breka Orc Fang ×20.We teleport to Breka's Stronghold and hammer the orcs. As always in this location, the drop of the quest items is so-so, so I recommend going up a tier and beating the Breka overlords and shamans; as it seems to me, the drop from them is better (or right at the teleport point, on the right, stand two overlords and two shamans).
Town of Giran. Return to Seer Manakia in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Manakia's Amulet.The items we knocked out we hand in to Manakia.
Orc Village. Return to Atuba Chief Varkees. You receive:
Huge Orc Fang.And return to Varkees for the second item, the Huge Orc Fang.
Urutu: Sword Into Skull
Talk to Urutu Chief Hatos. You receive:
Hatos's Charm.Urutu Chief Hatos needs some blade or other and 10 skulls of Timak orcs.
Find Blacksmith Sumari in the smithy. You receive:
Sumari's Letter.For the blade we go to Blacksmith Sumari in the smithy of the orc village. Fancy that, an orc blacksmith; I could have killed the developers. The blacksmith gives a letter that has to be carried to the orc guild of the town of Dion.
Town of Dion. Find Seer Somak in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Urutu Blade.All the guides say that the letter has to be given to Prefect Dowki. Nothing of the kind, that is a mistake: the letter has to be given to Seer Somak, who stands nearby. Somak gives you the blade you are after.
Hunt Timak Orc (lv. 40), Timak Orc Archer (lv. 41), Timak Orc Soldier (lv. 42), Timak Orc Warrior (lv. 43), Timak Orc Shaman (lv. 44), Timak Orc Overlord (lv. 45) until you have:
Timak Orc Skull ×10. Where: Catacomb of the Apostate, Timak Outpost, Starlight Waterfall.Now it only remains to collect 10 skulls from the Timak orcs, which stand not in the pit of the Ivory Tower, as most guides say, but below Oren, in the location Timak Outpost.
Orc Village. Return to Urutu Chief Hatos. You receive:
Sword Into Skull.The skulls and the blade we hand in to Hatos and get the third item, the Sword Into Skull. Those were the tasks of the three orcs who stand on the stairs next to Lord Kakai. So as not to run to and fro, it is better to take them all at once. The last two items can be got by doing the tasks of the orcs in Dion and Oren. So we go on.
Gandi: Monster Eye Woodcarving
Town of Dion. Find Gandi Chief Chianta in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Chianta's Charm.Gandi Chief Chianta: all the guides write that the task should be given by Kazkin Zu Gandi in Dion, but you will not find such an NPC, he is not in the game; we get the task precisely from Chianta, to whom you already ran in the previous quests and who always stands in place (in the orc guild of Dion). Chianta has to be brought 20 items from the mobs Enchanted Monstereye.
Ivory Tower. Hunt Enchanted Monstereye (lv. 41) until you have:
Enchanted Monster Cornea ×20.These mobs are exactly the ones in the pit of the Ivory Tower (aggressive eyes spitting magic).
Town of Dion. Return to Gandi Chief Chianta in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Monster Eye Woodcarving.We carry the items we knocked out to Chianta and get the fourth item, the Monster Eye Woodcarving.
Duda-Mara: Handiwork Spider Brooch
Town of Oren. Find Duda-Mara Chief Takuna in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Takuna's Charm.Duda-Mara Chief Takuna: the last item is obtained in the orc guild of Oren. Takuna asks to bring him 20 items from the mobs Marsh Spider in the location Cruma Marshlands, 10 feet and 10 feelers.
Cruma Tower (teleport from Town of Dion). Hunt Marsh Spider (lv. 34) until you have:
Marsh Spider's Feeler ×10, 
Marsh Spider's Feet ×10.The items drop from one and the same kind of mob, the spider, so simply collect them.
Town of Oren. Return to Duda-Mara Chief Takuna in the Orc Guild. You receive:
Handiwork Spider Brooch.Having given what we collected, we get the last, fifth item, the Handiwork Spider Brooch.
The test of Martankus
Orc Village. Return to Flame Lord Kakai in the main hall of the village. You receive:
Bear Fang Necklace.With all this wealth we return to Lord Kakai and dump everything into his pocket, but we do not get the mark, because we now have to drag ourselves to the Cave of Trials to Ancestor Martankus (remember that stone head we ran to in the first quest?).
Cave of Trials (teleport from Orc Village). Talk to Ancestor Martankus. You receive:
Martankus's Charm.The talking head asks to bring it the skull of one of the Ragna orcs, Ragna Orc Overlord or Ragna Orc Seer, which live in front of the entrance to the cave: it is enough to jump down into the gorge from the entrance.
Immortal Plateau, Southern Region (teleport from Orc Village). Hunt Ragna Orc Overlord (lv. 39), Ragna Orc Seer (lv. 39) until you have:
Ragna Orc Head, 
Ragna Chief Notice.This is where I was slow, and badly. From the very first orc some paper dropped, on which it was written in an incoherent style to carry it to the talking head. So I rushed off to hand it in. And it turned out that first the paper drops, and only from another mob the skull. So do not hurry, or you will, like me, run to the stupid head several times. And this nuance is described nowhere, so keep it in mind.
Cave of Trials (teleport from Orc Village). Return to Ancestor Martankus. You receive:
Immortal Flame.In short, the head takes both the paper and the skull and gives out the item Immortal Flame, which we carry to the start NPC.
Talk to First Orc.
The First Orc appears beside Martankus and speaks to you in person.
Orc Village. Return to Flame Lord Kakai in the main hall of the village. You receive:
Mark of Lord.And now Lord Kakai will be forced to give you the mark Mark of Lord. That is all, we go to get the profession Overlord.
After doing all three quests and getting the three marks, the Overlord has to go to High Prefect Penatus in the orc guild of Giran (behind the luxury shop), choose in the dialogue the top line, the one about asking about a change of profession, choose our profession and press the line "change the profession". Congratulations, you have got the second profession.
Tips
- Ancestor Martankus sits deep in the Cave of Trials: jump into the water from the bridge and go through several chambers.

Quest journal
Totems of the Five Tribes
Pa'agrio Lord Kakai says that you must meet the chiefs of all five tribes, except Hestui, and bring back their totems. The Atuba Chief, the Neruga Chief and the Urutu Chief can be found in the Royal Hall; the Duda-Mara Chief is in the Town of Oren and the Gandi Chief is in the Town of Dion.
Return to the Flame Lord
You've received the five totems from the five chiefs. Return to Pa'agrio Lord Kakai.

Pa'agrio Lord Kakai orders you to go to Ancestor Martankus in the Cave of Trials. Pass his final test and then return.

Return to Kakai
The first Orc tells you an ancient secret and encourages you to become a Lord of the tribe in the future. Return to Pa'agrio Lord Kakai.
