Enhance Your Weapon

Enhance Your Weapon is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 BoHPTS for characters of level 40–80.

The unknown shadow of darkness is coming. Many Magisters and Maestros have been recruiting volunteers to form a united front against the coming dark days. They have developed methods of strengthening weaponry as a way of empowering individual member of their forces.

The quest behind every special ability of a weapon. A magister gives a soul crystal of one of three colours, and while the quest is in your journal the crystal can absorb the souls of monsters and grow stage by stage. Without the quest a crystal does not level at all, so it stays in the journal of every character who hunts above level 40.

  1. Town of Giran. Find Grand Magister Jurek in the Mages Guild and take the quest.

    Gideon in Oren and Winonin in Aden give the same quest. Choose the colour: Red Soul Crystal, Green Soul Crystal or Blue Soul Crystal. Each colour unlocks its own ability of a weapon, so check the weapon first.

  2. How a crystal grows. Bring a suitable monster below half of its health, use the crystal on it and then land the killing blow yourself. Keep exactly one crystal in the inventory: with two or more nothing levels.

  3. Stages 1–4: the Timak orcs around Oren, the stakatos of the Field of Whispers, then the Forest of Mirrors and the Garden of Eva. Stages 5–6: the lizardmen of the Anghel Waterfall and the pirates of Devil's Isle. Stages 7–9: the Giant's Cave and the Devastated Castle. Stage 10: the knights of the Devastated Castle, the angels and the Platinum Tribe of the Tower of Insolence, the Antharas' Lair. A monster of a higher stage also works for every stage below it.

  4. Above stage 10 only bosses work. Stages 11 and 12 come from raid bosses such as Zaken, Baium, Lilith, Anakim, Roaring Skylancer, Beast Lord Behemoth, Meanas Anor, Eilhalder von Hellmann and Antharas Priest Cloe. Stage 13, the one for S-grade weapons, comes from Antharas, Valakas, Scarlet van Halisha, Anakazel and Ember.

  5. In this chronicle the crystals go further: stage 14 for Dynasty weapons, 15 for Icarus, 16 for Vesper and above. Stage 14 is raised on Antharas, Valakas, Scarlet van Halisha and Baylor of the Crystal Caverns.

Tips

  • On an epic boss the crystals of the whole party grow if the party lands the last blow. On an ordinary raid boss it is a small chance for every member, so several kills may be needed.
  • Read the system message after the kill. "Nothing happened" means a wrong monster or a missed step; a refusal to level means the monster is too weak for this stage; a resonance means a second crystal lies in your inventory.
  • To take a second crystal, put the first one into the warehouse and talk to the magister again. What each stage is used for is explained in Special abilities (SA): soul crystals, stages and gemstones.
