Dragon Valley

Dragon Valley is a hunting ground in Lineage 2 BoHPTS, recommended from level 81. 37 monsters of level 30–83 live here.

The descendants of dragons, Drakes inhabit in this valley. If you go deep inside, Land Dragon Antharas is in Antharas' Lair. Maluk's demons that are summoned by Antharas guard his peace and tranquility.

Hunting notes

In the High Five chronicles the location Dragon Valley was completely reworked, and all the old mobs were moved out somewhere (I saw the succubi in the Death Pass). The teleport to the location from Giran was removed; now you can teleport there from Hunters Village through the NPC Separated Soul. The same NPCs stand in many places of the location itself: at the old entrance, at the entrance to the Lair of Antharas, also reworked in High Five, and in several more places, for example where the rise from the small mobs to the succubi used to be. And yes, if you use a Scroll of Escape in the location, you will now appear not in Giran but precisely in Hunters.

Now the location fully matches its name: it really is a valley, and really of dragons. There is simply a sea of dragons, raid bosses among them, and the undead that used to populate the location are practically gone. Now it is purely a group levelling zone, and solo players have nothing to do here. No, of course you can spoil alone at the very edge by the entrance, where the mobs are level 80, but there is no special sense in it, since you will just lick your lips and be angry that the depths of the location are closed to you; so gather a party, a full one at that, there will be work for everybody. And you must take a spoiler; I will tell you why below.

Monsters

All the mobs in the location are from level 80 to 84. There are mobs that stand in their places (well, moving a little to and fro), there are mobs that run and fly over several glades (trackers), and there are raid bosses.

There are glades in the location where the mobs are simply swarming. There are mobs that summon other mobs to their aid as soon as you start attacking.

Levelling in the location

A spoiler is obligatory in the party, but not because of the spoil as such, though that is needed too, but because if a mob has been spoiled, herbs will drop from it, and if it has not, you get nothing. And with a successful spoil there is a chance to get a vitality buff for the whole party for 10 minutes.

Now about the party itself. In the reworked location a buff raising stats is hung on the whole group. It is called Morale Boost and has three levels, which differ strongly from each other.

  • Morale Boost level 1: raises resistance to paralysis, bleeding, stun and poison by 50, the critical hit chance by 10% and the critical hit power by 10%. Level 2: resistance to paralysis, bleeding, stun and poison by 80, the critical chance by 30% and the critical power by 15%, physical attack by 15%, magic attack by 15%. Level 3: resistance to paralysis, bleeding, stun and poison by 90, the critical chance by 50% and the critical power by 20%, physical attack by 15%, magic attack by 15%, attack speed by 15%, casting speed by 15%, and experience gained by 20%.

It is clear that the most interesting buff is that of the 3rd level, but here we get a very amusing situation: the level of the buff depends entirely on the composition of your party. If you gather 8 archers or 8 elemental mages plus a buffer, you will never get level 3, and will just run around with the buff of the first level. In short, the Koreans suddenly wished to raise the popularity of the most neglected classes in the game, and if such a class is in your group, you get the buff of the third level. I think you will figure out whom to take into the party; I will even give a hint: try such unloved classes as the Maestro, the Dreadnought and the Eva's Templar.

Raid bosses

In the reworked location everything was reworked, down to the procedure of the raid bosses' appearance. Four obelisks called Dragon Vortex are set up in the location. One of them stands not far from the entrance, where the big glade with the headless knights used to be, and one next to the entrance to the Lair of Antharas (from the lair keep to the left wall); in general they are all not far from the NPCs that teleport over the valley. To summon the raid bosses you need a special item, the Large Dragon Bone, with whose help a raid boss can be summoned from a vortex. This item drops and is spoiled from the mobs of the location itself, and one can be got by a quest (see below). The raid bosses can be summoned endlessly: as soon as you have farmed one you can summon another, as long as you have enough bones for the summons. It may so happen that one and the same raid boss is summoned several times in a row.

Quests in the location

There are only three quests, and one way or another all of them are connected only with the raid bosses. One of them is so short that I will describe it here. The quest is called Tired of Waiting (a one-time quest); it is taken in Hunters from the NPC Isael Silvershadow; she will send you to the Dragon Valley to the dwarf girl Kitzka, who will offer three rewards to choose from, among which there is also one Large Dragon Bone. The dwarf girl is easy to find: opposite her stands the NPC Separated Soul, and even if you ported to the wrong place you can fly over to the right one at once. There are no mobs there.

The other two quests are called Legendary Tales (a one-time quest) and Wings of Sand (a daily one). And about the drop and spoil: Moirai, Icarus, a little Vesper; it is not for nothing that the location is one of the hardest.
