Hunt of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force

Hunt of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force is a repeatable, party quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 66–78. It starts with Kahman in Swamp of Screams.

The Golden Ram Mercenary Force is currently recruiting! This prestigious mercenary force is currently carrying out the mission of subjugating/driving out stakatos from the Swamp of Screams.

Hunt of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force walkthrough

The quest is taken at level 66 from Kahman, who stands at the teleport point in the location Swamp of Screams.

Swamp of Screams (teleport from Rune Township). Take the quest from Mercenary Kahman.
Hunt Splinter Stakato (lv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (lv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (lv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (lv. 69) until you have: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
To begin with we are offered to become a recruit, but we will not be taken even as recruits until we farm 100 items that drop from the Splinter Stakato mobs. They are called Splinter Stakato Chitin; I suppose the idea is that all the mobs are insects and we take some chitin parts off them. The Splinter Stakatos are right next to the NPC, it is enough to run a little along the path. We hit them.
Return to Mercenary Kahman. Hand over: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100. You receive: Golden Ram Badge - Recruit.
We farm 100 Splinter Stakato Chitin and return to Mercenary Kahman. He gives the recruit badge at once and offers to raise your rank to an elite mercenary. Of course we agree, why else did we come here? Yes, as a recruit you can already trade with the gnome (Abercrombie), but only dimensional diamonds and little pouches with healing potions will be available. So we do not dwell on it and go on with the quest.
Hunt Splinter Stakato (lv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (lv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (lv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (lv. 69) until you have: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
Kahman says that for the rank of an elite mercenary you have to farm not 100 but 200 items; 100 of them are the same as before, that is Splinter Stakato Chitin.
Hunt Needle Stakato (lv. 70), Needle Stakato Worker (lv. 71), Needle Stakato Soldier (lv. 72), Needle Stakato Drone (lv. 73) until you have: Needle Stakato Chitin ×100.
The other hundred, Needle Stakato Chitin, has to be knocked out of the Needle Stakato mobs, which live at the other end of the swamp. These mobs are stronger and their level is higher, but they have to be beaten too.
Return to Mercenary Kahman to complete the quest. Hand over: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100, Needle Stakato Chitin ×100, Golden Ram Badge - Recruit. You receive: Golden Ram Badge - Soldier.
We hand all 200 items to Mercenary Kahman and get the soldier badge. That is it: now we can get buffs from the NPC (Selina) and buy all the goods of the gnome trader. The quest In Search of the Nest opens too, and after it you can take the resource quests The Zero Hour and Clean up the Swamp of Screams.

I'm in charge of finding skilled soldiers to become brothers in our Golden Ram Mercenary Force! Are you up to the task?

I admire your courage, but you lack the required skills to join us.
(Quest available only for characters level 66 or above.)

We are here to destroy the Stakatos in the Swamp of Screams. They're no match for our skills, but they're tough and outnumber us, so we need all the skilled help we can get.
You meet the basic requirements, but you must prove yourself if you want to be a member of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force!
Kill Splinter Stakatos, Splinter Stakato Walkers, Splinter Stakato Soldiers and Splinter Stakato Drones and bring back one-hundred Stakato Chitins to prove your worth.
Good luck to you!

There are two classes here, rookie and elite.
An elite mercenary is a veteran with a long record of active service. The title earns you special priviliges.
Rookies must kill Needle Stakatos as well as Splinter Stakatos to gain elite status. Collect one-hundred Chitins each of Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos to earn the title.
Show them what you're worth!

You're already an elite warrior! What more do you want? You are free to choose.
"I want to return to the fight!"
"I want to end our Contract."

To become an honorable member of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force, you must collect 100 Chitins of Splinter Stakatos from the Swamp of Screams. Now go!

You're back! Have you taught the stakatos a lesson?
"Here are the 100 stakato Chitins."

Great work, my soldier! You are fully qualified to become a brother of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force!
Well, take this mark of Golden Ram - Recruit! From now on, you are a brother of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force. Congratulations!
But, you must get stronger, stranger, if you want to become an elite soldier! Go into the Swamp of Screams, kill Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos, and collect 100 Chitins each of Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos!
If you can't carry out such a task, you will not be able to become the Elite!

That's the spirit! Kill with extreme prejudice in the name of the Golden Ram!

To become an elite member of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force, you must collect 100 Chitins each of Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos.
Prove your skills and you can rise in the ranks!
"I'm ready to fight!"
"I want to quit."

Your skills and long record of active service have earned you the title of elite mercenary in the Golden Ram Force!
Take this Golden Ram Badge - Soldier. Congratulations, brother!

See Mercenary Medic Selina and Mercenary Supplier Abercrombie if you need anything.
Selina will help you with magic and Abercrombie will help you with supplies.
Let me know if you've ever had enough.
"I'm ready to fight!"
"I want to quit."

It's not easy to become a member. If you quit now, you may regret it later! You'll have to start from the beginning if you come back. Are you sure?
"I'm sure."

What a pity. We can't afford to lose such skills, but I'll respect your decision.
I hope to hear of your great deeds someday. May Pa'agrio's Flame be with you!
