Hunt of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force walkthrough

The quest is taken at level 66 from Kahman, who stands at the teleport point in the location Swamp of Screams.

1. Swamp of Screams (teleport from Rune Township). Take the quest from Mercenary Kahman.

   

   

2. Hunt Splinter Stakato (lv. 66), Splinter Stakato Walker (lv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (lv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (lv. 69) until you have: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.

   To begin with we are offered to become a recruit, but we will not be taken even as recruits until we farm 100 items that drop from the Splinter Stakato mobs. They are called Splinter Stakato Chitin; I suppose the idea is that all the mobs are insects and we take some chitin parts off them. The Splinter Stakatos are right next to the NPC, it is enough to run a little along the path. We hit them.

   

   

3. Return to Mercenary Kahman. Hand over: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100. You receive: Golden Ram Badge - Recruit.

   We farm 100 Splinter Stakato Chitin and return to Mercenary Kahman. He gives the recruit badge at once and offers to raise your rank to an elite mercenary. Of course we agree, why else did we come here? Yes, as a recruit you can already trade with the gnome (Abercrombie), but only dimensional diamonds and little pouches with healing potions will be available. So we do not dwell on it and go on with the quest.

4. Hunt Splinter Stakato (lv. 66), Splinter Stakato Walker (lv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (lv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (lv. 69) until you have: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.

   Kahman says that for the rank of an elite mercenary you have to farm not 100 but 200 items; 100 of them are the same as before, that is Splinter Stakato Chitin.

5. Hunt Needle Stakato (lv. 70), Needle Stakato Walker (lv. 71), Needle Stakato Soldier (lv. 72), Needle Stakato Drone (lv. 73) until you have: Needle Stakato Chitin ×100.

   The other hundred, Needle Stakato Chitin, has to be knocked out of the Needle Stakato mobs, which live at the other end of the swamp. These mobs are stronger and their level is higher, but they have to be beaten too.

   

   

6. Return to Mercenary Kahman to complete the quest. Hand over: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100, Needle Stakato Chitin ×100, Golden Ram Badge - Recruit. You receive: Golden Ram Badge - Soldier.

   We hand all 200 items to Mercenary Kahman and get the soldier badge. That is it: now we can get buffs from the NPC (Selina) and buy all the goods of the gnome trader. The quest In Search of the Nest opens too, and after it you can take the resource quests The Zero Hour and Clean up the Swamp of Screams.

   In order to join the Golden Ram Mercenary Force, you must first prove your ability. Go to the Swamp of Screams, slay stakatos and collect the proofs. After completing the mission, return to Mercenary Kahman.

2. Promotion to Elite Soldier of the Golden Ram

   The recruits of the Golden Ram Mercenary force receive a few privileges. One can receive a quest from Mercenary Captain Pierce and obtain specialty items from Mercenary Supplier Abercrombie.

   If you would like to receive more privileges, you must first become an elite soldier. Go to the Swamp of Screams, kill stakatos and contribute to the war effort! After completing the mission, return to Mercenary Kahman.

3. Privileges of Elite Soldiers of the Golden Ram

   An elite soldier of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force receives several privileges. One can receive a quest from Mercenary Captain Pierce and obtain specialty items from Mercenary Supplier Abercrombie. In addition, an elite soldier can also receive help from Mercenary Medic Selina in the form of beneficial magic.
