A quest é pega no nível 66 com Kahman, que fica no ponto de teleporte da localização Swamp of Screams.

Swamp of Screams (teleporte a partir de Rune Township). Aceite a quest com Mercenary Kahman.
Cace Splinter Stakato (nv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (nv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (nv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (nv. 69) até juntar: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
Para começar, propõem que viremos recrutas, mas nem como recrutas nos aceitam enquanto não tirarmos 100 itens que caem dos mobs Splinter Stakato. Eles se chamam Splinter Stakato Chitin; imagino que a ideia é que todos os mobs são insetos e tiramos deles pedaços de quitina. Os Splinter Stakato ficam bem ao lado do NPC, basta correr um pouco pela trilha. Batemos.

Tiramos 100 Splinter Stakato Chitin e voltamos ao Mercenary Kahman. Ele dá na hora a insígnia de recruta e propõe subir o seu posto para mercenário de elite. Claro que aceitamos, para que mais viemos aqui? Sim, como recruta já dá para negociar com o gnomo (Abercrombie), mas só estarão disponíveis os dimensional diamonds e uns saquinhos de onde saem poções de cura. Então não paramos nisso e continuamos a quest.
Cace Splinter Stakato (nv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (nv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (nv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (nv. 69) até juntar: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
O Kahman diz que para o posto de mercenário de elite é preciso tirar não 100, mas 200 itens; 100 deles são os mesmos de antes, isto é, Splinter Stakato Chitin.
Cace Needle Stakato (nv. 70), Needle Stakato Worker (nv. 71), Needle Stakato Soldier (nv. 72), Needle Stakato Drone (nv. 73) até juntar: Needle Stakato Chitin ×100.
A outra centena, Needle Stakato Chitin, tem de ser tirada dos mobs Needle Stakato, que vivem na outra ponta do pântano. Esses mobs são mais fortes e de nível mais alto, mas também vai ser preciso bater neles.
Volte até Mercenary Kahman para concluir a quest. Entregue: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100, Needle Stakato Chitin ×100, Golden Ram Badge - Recruit. Você recebe: Golden Ram Badge - Soldier.
Entregamos os 200 itens ao Mercenary Kahman e recebemos a insígnia de soldado. Pronto: agora podemos pegar buffs com o NPC (Selina) e comprar todos os produtos do gnomo vendedor. Também se abre a quest In Search of the Nest, e depois dela dá para pegar as quests de recursos The Zero Hour e Clean up the Swamp of Screams.

You meet the basic requirements, but you must prove yourself if you want to be a member of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force!
Kill Splinter Stakatos, Splinter Stakato Walkers, Splinter Stakato Soldiers and Splinter Stakato Drones and bring back one-hundred Stakato Chitins to prove your worth.

There are two classes here, rookie and elite.
An elite mercenary is a veteran with a long record of active service. The title earns you special priviliges.
Rookies must kill Needle Stakatos as well as Splinter Stakatos to gain elite status. Collect one-hundred Chitins each of Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos to earn the title.
Show them what you're worth!

You're already an elite warrior! What more do you want? You are free to choose.

To become an honorable member of the Golden Ram Mercenary Force, you must collect 100 Chitins of Splinter Stakatos from the Swamp of Screams. Now go!
