La quest se coge en el nivel 66 con Kahman, que está en el punto de teletransporte de la localización Swamp of Screams.

Swamp of Screams (teletransporte desde Rune Township). Acepta la quest con Mercenary Kahman.
Caza Splinter Stakato (nv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (nv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (nv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (nv. 69) hasta reunir: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
Para empezar nos proponen ser reclutas, pero ni como reclutas nos aceptan hasta que saquemos 100 objetos que caen de los mobs Splinter Stakato. Se llaman Splinter Stakato Chitin; supongo que la idea es que todos los mobs son insectos y les quitamos trozos de quitina. Los Splinter Stakato están justo al lado del NPC, basta con correr un poco por el sendero. A pegar.
Vuelve con Mercenary Kahman. Entregas: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100. Recibes: Golden Ram Badge - Recruit.
Sacamos 100 Splinter Stakato Chitin y volvemos con Mercenary Kahman. Nos da enseguida la insignia de recluta y propone subir de rango a mercenario de élite. Claro que aceptamos, ¿para qué hemos venido si no? Sí, siendo recluta ya se puede comerciar con el gnomo (Abercrombie), pero solo estarán disponibles los dimensional diamonds y unas bolsitas de las que salen pociones de vida. Así que no nos quedamos ahí y seguimos con la quest.
Caza Splinter Stakato (nv. 66), Splinter Stakato Worker (nv. 67), Splinter Stakato Soldier (nv. 68), Splinter Stakato Drone (nv. 69) hasta reunir: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100.
Kahman dice que para el rango de mercenario de élite hay que sacar ya no 100, sino 200 objetos; 100 son los mismos de antes, es decir, Splinter Stakato Chitin.
Caza Needle Stakato (nv. 70), Needle Stakato Worker (nv. 71), Needle Stakato Soldier (nv. 72), Needle Stakato Drone (nv. 73) hasta reunir: Needle Stakato Chitin ×100.
La otra centena, Needle Stakato Chitin, hay que sacarla de los mobs Needle Stakato, que viven en el otro extremo del pantano. Estos mobs son más fuertes y de más nivel, pero también habrá que matarlos.
Vuelve con Mercenary Kahman para completar la quest. Entregas: Splinter Stakato Chitin ×100, Needle Stakato Chitin ×100, Golden Ram Badge - Recruit. Recibes: Golden Ram Badge - Soldier.
Entregamos los 200 objetos a Mercenary Kahman y recibimos la insignia de soldado. Ya está: ahora podemos recibir buffs del NPC (Selina) y comprar todos los productos del gnomo comerciante. También se abre la quest In Search of the Nest, y tras hacerla se pueden coger las quests de recursos The Zero Hour y Clean up the Swamp of Screams.

Kill Splinter Stakatos, Splinter Stakato Walkers, Splinter Stakato Soldiers and Splinter Stakato Drones and bring back one-hundred Stakato Chitins to prove your worth.

There are two classes here, rookie and elite.
An elite mercenary is a veteran with a long record of active service. The title earns you special priviliges.
Rookies must kill Needle Stakatos as well as Splinter Stakatos to gain elite status. Collect one-hundred Chitins each of Splinter Stakatos and Needle Stakatos to earn the title.
Show them what you're worth!
