Curse of the Underground Fortress walkthrough

The quest Curse of the Underground Fortress, for Bone Shield and 24000 adena. Start level: 12. Start location: the village of the light elves. Start NPC: Trader Unoren (Unoren). No requirements. Not repeatable. All the races except the dark elves.

  1. Elven Village. Take the quest from Weapon Merchant Unoren.

The quest for the top no-grade shield and adena is available from level 12 and is taken from Trader Unoren, who stands in the weapon and armor shop.

  2. Elven Fortress (teleport from Elven Village). Hunt Dungeon Skeleton (lv. 12), Dungeon Skeleton Archer (lv. 13), Dread Soldier (lv. 14) until you have: Bone Fragment ×10.

We have to dash to the Elven Fortress and knock 10 bones and 3 skulls out of the mobs of the fortress. The bones drop from all sorts of skeletons, of which there are a great many in the fortress.

  3. Hunt Mist Terror (lv. 15), Dark Terror (lv. 16) until you have: Elf Skull ×3.

And the skulls are knocked out of the Terror mobs; everywhere it is written that only Mist Terror of level 15 has to be beaten, not at all: there are also the mobs of levels 16 and 17, Dark Terror and Shade Horror, similar too, and the items drop from them as well. It is interesting that with a mage I farmed this quest with a bang, the items dropped almost from every mob, while with a warrior even 20 minutes of buff were not enough for me, and I finished the last skeletons with no buff at all.

  4. Elven Village. Return to Weapon Merchant Unoren to complete the quest. Hand over: Bone Fragment ×10, Elf Skull ×3. You receive: Bone Shield.

When you finish, return to the start NPC. On the whole all the characters could do this quest, a lot of adena is given for level 12, but dragging the whole crowd here and then trudging to the fortress as well is somehow not very tempting.
