Crystals of Fire and Ice walkthrough

The quest Crystals of Fire and Ice, for adena. Start level: 17. Start location: the human village. Start NPC: Trader Katerina (Katerina). No requirements. Repeatable. No race restrictions, any race can do it. Reward: adena.

1. Talking Island. Take the quest from Grocer Katerina.

   The quest is taken from level seventeen from Trader Katerina, who is in the consumables shop of Talking Island.

   

   

2. Anomic Foundry. Hunt Salamander (lv. 17), Salamander Elder (lv. 18), Salamander Noble (lv. 19) until you have: Flame Shard.

   Katerina sends you to the dungeon Elven Ruins to hunt the mobs Salamander, Undine, Salamander Elder, Undine Elder, Salamander Noble and Undine Noble. Flame Shard drops from the salamanders.

   

   

3. Hunt Undine (lv. 17), Undine Elder (lv. 18), Undine Noble (lv. 19) until you have: Ice Shard.

   And Ice Shard from the undines. The number of quest items knocked out is limited by nothing: the more you farm, the more adena you are given, but as always there are nuances.

   

   

4. Talking Island. Return to Grocer Katerina to complete the quest.

   When you are thoroughly tired of all this, we return to the start NPC for the reward. Everywhere it is written that either 40 or 60 adena is given for each item, but there is a bonus too. For 10 Flame Shard and 10 Ice Shard I was given 5600 adena on an x1 Interlude server, so there certainly is a bonus. How things are in the other chronicles I do not know, but as far as I remember, in the C3 chronicles there are no bonuses in any quests. This quest is handy because all the mobs needed for it are with the x2 modifier, so you can level on them quickly.

1. Soulstone Fragment

   Trader Katerina specializes in jewelry. She asks you to go to the Elven Ruins and collect soul ore shards, which were used by ancient Elven mystics. Hunt salamanders and undines in the Elven Ruins to obtain flame shards and ice shards respectively. Hunt salamanders, salamander elders, salamander nobles, undines, undine elders and undine nobles.
