Scent of Death
Scent of Death is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 11–18. It starts with Minaless in Dark Elf Village.
A bit of ground-up corpse skin is essential for growing nightshade.
Scent of Death walkthrough
The quest Scent of Death, for 3350 adena and one small healing potion. Start level: 11. Start location: the village of the dark elves. Start NPC: Trader Minaless (Minaless). No requirements. Repeatable. No race restrictions, any race can do it.
Dark Elf Village. Take the quest from Accessory Merchant Minaless.
The quest for adena is available from level 11 and is taken from Trader Minaless, who stands in the grocery shop of the village of the dark elves.
Swampland (teleport from Dark Elf Village). Hunt Marsh Zombie (lv. 13), Marsh Zombie Lord (lv. 14) until you have:
Zombie's Skin ×5.You have to hunt the mobs Marsh Zombie and Marsh Zombie Lord, which live in the location Swampland. You run through the western exit from the village along the road until you see the first zombie on the left. Note that the bats flying around have variable aggression: they may attack or may not. So be careful there. Five items have to be knocked out of the zombies, and they are so impenetrable for mages that three nukes go on a mob, so mana flies away rather quickly, and in any case you will have to sit and regenerate it. Warriors, though, farm the quest with a bang: when I levelled my Bladedancer there, I did the quest several times and even knocked out a no-grade weapon.
Dark Elf Village. Return to Accessory Merchant Minaless to complete the quest. Hand over:
Zombie's Skin ×5.When you are lucky enough to farm the five skins after all, return to the start NPC and get your reward. One healing potion is of course a mockery, but the adena, yes, will do.

Special Fertilizer
Trader Minaless, who grows herbs on the side, has recently been growing a flower called nightshade. This plant requires a special fertilizer known as zombie dust. You must have zombie skin in order to create zombie dust. Trader Minaless asks you to go to the Marshlands south of the Dark Forest, slay the marsh zombies and bring back five zombie skins.

I grow many Medicinal Herbs as a side job. Of course, my efforts don't compare at all to Tetrarch Vellior's herb garden, but I am raising a few priceless herbs like nightshade and Belladonna. However, as precious as they are, they must be given a special fertilizer. To make the fertilizer of the nightshade, one must collect all sorts of different materials, and it takes a lot of time and effort. It would be nice if you could help me later on. ...
(Quest for characters level 11 and above.)
Do you know about the flower called nightshade? It is a very beautiful plant with a sweet scent that only blossoms at night. The juice is very poisonous, but if it is processed properly it can be used in making reagents that have many uses. Recently, I have begun raising nightshade in my herb garden. However, I am still learning the craft, so everything is very crude compared to Tetrarch Vellior's herb garden.
To make nightshade fertilizer I must collect all sorts of odd ingredients, and it requires a lot of time and effort. I need someone to collect ingredients for me. Could you help me?
- Say you will help
The Nightshade needs Zombie Dust as fertilizer. Zombie Dust is made by drying the skins of corpses and grinding them into powder. It will have a stronger effect if it's made with an old corpse. Tetrarch Vellior told me he uses the skins of the undead for best effect.
I need a favor from you. If you go to the Marshlands southwest of our village, you'll find Zombies of the Tree Elves, long dead after our race wiped them out. Go after them and bring back their Zombie Skins. If you bring me five of them, I will give you a reward.
I must have at least five zombie skins to make zombie dust. If you go to the Marshlands southwest of the village, there are many marsh zombies that aimlessly wander around.
Thank you! This is enough to make fertilizer for a month. I will compensate you as I promised! I will also give you a reagent made from the juice of nightshade I harvested just recently. My skills are yet poor, so the effect is weak, but I think you will still find it quite useful.
