What is it? Didn't I already tell you that I'm busy?! If you have something to say, say it quickly. If not, stop bothering me!
- "I'm a guild member. I need help from a senior for my trip!"
I'm too busy. Go and find someone else?
(Only Dwarves of Level 3 or above can undertake this quest).
I'm too busy. Go and find someone else?
(Only Dwarves of Level 3 or above can undertake this quest).
You've got some nerve addressing an elder like that!
So, you want to broaden your horizons, eh? Ha! Even if you could afford to travel, Maphr couldn't keep you safe out there!
I admire your courage and ambition, but it takes more than those things to travel, my friend! I'll tell you what!
Pass a Test that I give you and I'll pay your way to Giran. Do you understand?
All I ask is that you obtain the endorsement of Warehouse Chief Reed. I must warn you, he's not easily impressed. Now get going!
Speak with Warehouse Chief Reed in the village and obtain his acknowledgement so that you can go out into the world.
Hey, I'm busy... Huh? You're back already? Did Reed give you his OK? What are you up to?
- "I did what he asked."
Damn that Reed! He knows better than that...
Well, I suppose I'll do it since I gave you my word. Your abilities may be suspect, but your luck is certainly holding out!
I've given you a scroll called Scroll of Escape: Giran. Have you ever used a Scroll of Escape? Double-click the scroll and it will take you to the village. I've been saving this one for a special occasion! This scroll allows you to go directly to the Town of Giran, but it will only work once, so use it carefully! I know you can't wait to get to the thriving metropolis of Giran, right? Ha!
I've also given you the Mark of the Traveler. When you're ready to return to this village, visit Trader Galladucci at the Luxury Shop. Show him this and he'll help you return here. I pray that Maphr is always watching over you!

Not every Dwarf is granted membership in our Iron Gate Guild. Why are you here?
- "To tell you about Silver Scale Balanki's work."
I can't believe Balanki fell for it, you silver-tongued devil! It's a wonder that you even survived, much less kept your Adena. He must be losing his touch! Ha!
You know, I think I like you! I'm going to help you, but you must pretend to do something in return in order to keep up appearances. Balanki puts great emphasis on appearance, eh?
Did you see Priest of the Earth Gerald at the town entrance? Give this to him -- he'll love it even more than I do.
Ask him who has acquired the right to strip mine Mithril. This is a very sensitive matter, and I won't hold it against you if he doesn't answer. But this is the price for my help...
Speak with Priest of the Earth Gerald at the town entrance. Don't tell him I sent you! Understand?
Give him this necklace and perhaps he'll tell you the secret.
Back already? Did Gerald like the necklace I sent? What did he say about the strip mining rights?
- Tell him about the hint Gerald gave you.
Bah! Why does he always have to be so mysterious! Well, that hint should be sufficient. After all, who here is more popular or virtuous than me?
Gerald thinks that I should make more contributions, eh? Very well -- I think I know what will make him happy. Well done!
Have a prosperous journey, and give my respects to Balanki when you see him.
About time you left, isn't it?!
What's keeping you? Go to Balanki and tell him that I'm fine.

Why? Are you here to make a contribution to Maphr?
- "Here's the gift. Who has the right to strip mine?"
Very nice! Maphr should be pleased.
It's not from you, eh? I think I know who would send me this kind of gift and ask you to find out such a thing. Well, thanks for the gift, but I can't tell you who has the right to strip mine. However, I will give you a hint for the person who gave me this gift. Tell him that the right to strip mine goes to whoever can afford to make enough contributions to Maphr, and whoever has enough wealth, popularity and virtue to operate the mine.
Thank him for the gift and tell him to bring by contributions for Maphr anytime.
Where's the gift? I don't see one. Do you dare to trifle with a priest of the earth? What kind of person would ask about the right to strip mine without giving a gift to Maphr?
You again, huh?! Although I'll consider the right to strip mine more in the future, tell whoever sent this gift that he has a slight chance to strip mine the Mithril this time. Bring me more gifts when you can.
