As much as I've traveled, even I can't claim to understand all the peoples in this wide world.

Our Elven Forest is a peaceful haven, but the outside world also has much to offer -- especially a bustling place like Giran.

Only through interacting with outsiders can we better understand not only this world, but ultimately ourselves.

  • "I want to see the world!"

Perhaps one day you will be able to see it for yourself!

(Only Elves who are level 3 or above may undertake this quest.)

Don't be foolish! You have no idea where you should go!

Experience is an excellent teacher, but she is also a harsh one. It will not be easy for you venture out from the protective shade of the World Tree.

If you are really serious about traveling to the outside world, ask a more experienced traveler like Trader Ariel for advice on how to prepare and what to expect.

Go talk to her.

Seek the advice of an well-traveled adventurer before you leave the safety of the Elven Forest. Visit Trader Ariel and ask for her opinion.

Hierarch Asterios already sent word that you would be coming. My preparations are complete. Are you ready?

  • Say yes.

Very well. Here is a Scroll of Escape to the Town of Giran as well a Traveler's Mark.

The Scroll can only be used once, remember! When you are ready to return to the Elven Village, visit Trader Galladucci and show him the Traveler's Mark.

A word of warning: Giran is a crowded and chaotic place, filled with all manner of scum and villainy.

Watch your back and your gold!

I recently received a message from Ariel. The outside world of the Humans who exiled us here has changed very much, to the point that it is unrecognizable to us Elves, living in isolation. Their world is now one of total chaos!

Far be it for me to deny a young Elf his travels, but I must remind you, there's much to be done here at home. You must prioritize.

Remember your home and the sacred Mother Tree! You must promise to return one day!

  • "I shall return!"

The outside world is a terribly chaotic place, nothing like our beautiful Elven Forest. Don't get me wrong, we have our share of problems, but nothing approaching the ravages that plague the world of the Humans.

But I've always said, "All young Elves should see the Town of Giran at least once!" It's a Human village and an important travel hub. It's also a microcosm of the outside world and would be the perfect place for you to start your journey.

When you're ready to go, speak with Gatekeeper Mirabel. I'll ask her to help you.

Didn't you say you have the Recommendation letter from Ariel? It is not good to deliver untrue words to a Hierarch, even if it is your simple mistake. I cannot support a liar like you!

I've spoken with Gatekeeper Mirabel, and she's agreed to help you.

May Eva bless you along your journey.

You don't look like you're here to browse.

Is it because you think you're ready to venture into the outside world? Heh ... perhaps you are. Some might disagree with me, but I've come to accept that it's natural for a young elf such as yourself to want more than the protection of the Mother Tree. A part of me is happy, yet a part of me is sad to see you go.

Many different races, including orcs, dwarves and humans make up that place. So it can't help but be very different from this place, where the only ones you'll meet are other elves. Not all the memories you create for yourself will be happy ones. Do you still want to venture to the world outside?

  • Say Yes.

Well, if you've got your mind made up, I won't try to stop you... You young Elves always have to learn things the hard way!

Fortunately for you, Hierarch Asterios is sponsoring young Elves who want to experience the outside world. I'll write you a letter of Recommendation. Take it with you when you go to see him!

Do you have that Recommendation letter I wrote for you? Take it to Hierarch Asterios, I'm sure he'll sponsor you!
