Orc Hunting

Orc Hunting is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 6–16. It starts with Rayen in Elven Village.

The Kaboo Orcs in the Misty Mountains have begun attacking the Elven Forest. They've even infiltrated the village under the very eyes of the guards! All brave Elves who can help are asked to report to Sentinel Rayen!

Orc Hunting walkthrough

The quest Hunt the Orcs, for soulshots or spiritshots and adena. Start level: 6. Start location: the village of the light elves. Start NPC: Sentinel Rayen (Rayen). No requirements. Repeatable. Only for light elves. Reward: shots (at the first handing in of the quest) and adena.

Elven Village. Take the quest from Sentinel Rayen.
The quest for no-grade shots is available from level 6 and is taken from Sentinel Rayen, the guard who stands at the south-western gate at the entrance to the village.
Hunt Kaboo Orc (lv. 6), Kaboo Orc Grunt (lv. 7), Kaboo Orc Archer (lv. 8) until you have: Orc Amulet. Where: Starlight Waterfall, Elven Village.
He sends you to beat various orcs of the Kaboo tribe, of which there are plenty next to the village: Kaboo Orc, Kaboo Orc Grunt, Kaboo Orc Archer, Kaboo Orc Fighter, Kaboo Orc Fighter Lieutenant, Kaboo Orc Fighter Leader. We knock out some 10 items and return to Rayen. The drop of the items is not 100%, I would even say not 100% at all. At first I thought it depended on how many people beat this quest at the same time, but no: I checked on a test server, and everything was quite bad there, though I was alone on the server.
Hunt Kaboo Orc Fighter (lv. 10), Kaboo Orc Fighter Lieutenant (lv. 11), Kaboo Orc Fighter Leader (lv. 12) until you have: Orc's Necklace. Where: Elven Village, Elven Forest.
Return to Sentinel Rayen.
At the first handing in of the quest you are given either 6000 soulshots for beginners or 3000 spiritshots for beginners (depending on whether you are a warrior or a mage) and a little adena; at all the later ones, only adena. And, as is usual in all these starting quests for adena, there are rules of optimal handing in of the items to get the maximum of adena. Each item by itself costs pennies, BUT when 10 items are handed in, a bonus of 1000 adena is given. And however many items above those 10 you hand in, the bonus is given only once per handing in. That is, there is no sense in farming a huge quantity of items, because whether you hand in ten pieces or a thousand, the bonus is given only once. So it is much more profitable to run to the nearest orcs, farm 10 pieces and at once run to hand them in, getting the bonus every time.
In the C1-C3 chronicles everything is complicated: there are no bonuses and no shots, only adena. In those chronicles beginner shots can be got only in the weapon quest, which is taken at level 10.

Stranger with an unfamiliar gaze, please be careful if you should venture outside the village. The woods are full of danger, as there is a war going on between our race of the woods and the kaboo orcs of the Fog Mountains. But do not worry, the Elven warriors will soon drive the orcs out of our woods.

The orcs of Fog Mountains are becoming bolder and bolder lately. Before, they wouldn't dare set foot into the Elven Forest, and now they dare to come into the village.
Pretty soon, we plan to recruit brave brothers to help us defeat these fearless invaders. I hope you will take part in this when the time comes.

The kaboo orcs of the Fog Mountains are becoming bolder and bolder lately. Before, they wouldn't dare set foot into the Elven Forest, and now they dare to come into the village. On top of that, more and more Orc hordes are invading the forest.
I don't know how the orcs can come near the village, with the guardians keeping watch at the boundary of the woods. They must be avoiding the eyes of the guardians using some clever method.
The elders have ordered us to recruit brothers who will help us to defeat the kaboo orcs. Shouldn't we punish this fearless race that dares to invade our homes? Would you like to participate?

Now go into the Elven Forest and fight the kaboo orcs. But you must keep this in mind. A hierarchy exists within the orcs, and because fighter or leader levels are stronger than lesser orcs, you may be in trouble if you do not take care.
The lesser orcs carry feather amulets, while the high level orcs wear necklaces made from bones. Gather these items as proof and bring them to me.
May the goddess guide your blade and arrows! Teach those orcs a stern lesson that they should never even think of setting foot into the Elven Forest!

Why have you come back so soon? Even as we speak, our beautiful woods are being invaded by the Orcs. They are a race that does not know about beauty or purity. We cannot let them violate our home, can we?
But even if you say that your mind and body are tired, I will not fault or scold you. Sheath your blade at once and take shelter under the shade of the Mother Tree.

You have fought well for the brothers of the forest. I will give you a reward for each piece of proof you have brought from slaying kaboo orcs in the battlefield. I am giving this in the name of our Hierarch Asterios, so please do not refuse our gift.
