Revenge of the Redbonnet
Revenge of the Redbonnet is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 4–8. It starts with Maryse Redbonnet in Dwarven Village.
As a child, Maryse Redbonnet narrowly escaped being eaten by wolves. Her family was not so lucky. She has sworn revenge on all wolves!
Revenge of the Redbonnet walkthrough
The quest Revenge of the Redbonnet, for one scroll of teleport (SoE). Start level: 4. Start location: the dwarven village. Start NPC: Maryse Redbonnet (Maryse Redbonnet). No requirements. Repeatable. No race restrictions, any race can do it. Reward: one scroll of teleport (
Scroll of Escape). On the C1 chronicles no SoE is given, only the brooch, which is sold to a shop for 100 adena.
Dwarven Village. Find Maryse Redbonnet at the town gate and take the quest.
Maryse Redbonnet, who is by the last house at the far exit from the dwarven village, tells you somewhat nervously and emotionally that when she was 10, wolves either frightened her or gobbled up her granny, but anyway since then she cannot stand those wolves, and when she was younger she stacked wolves in piles, but now she is too old for all that stuff, while the wish to take revenge on the wolves has remained. So she asks precisely you to join this whole saga of exterminating wolves.
Frozen Valley. Hunt Black Wolf (lv. 4) until you have:
Black Wolf Pelt ×40.You have to hunt the mobs Black Wolf of the fourth level, which live around the village. There is a nuance here: the mobs Black Timber Wolf of the sixth level, which stand a bit farther, no longer count for the quest. By the water tower there is an exit from the village and a descent to the plateau, where there are plenty of wolves. You can stand at the very beginning of the descent: there will be an orc, a goblin and two wolves, all three kinds go for different quests, so the output will be the best; only sometimes the mobs respawn on a big rock and cannot be reached there, you need either a bow or somebody with Wind Strike. You have to collect 40 items, the drop is 100%, so the quest can be done very quickly.
Dwarven Village. Return to Maryse Redbonnet at the town gate to complete the quest. Hand over:
Black Wolf Pelt ×40. You receive:
Scroll of Escape,
Grandma's Hairpin. We hand the collected items in to Maryse and get an SoE, one piece. If you wish, you can repeat the quest as many times as you like. Together with the SoE you get granny's old brooch, which can be sold to a shop, but the price is very small even for the 4th level, only 100 adena.
Tips
- Granny's things in the game are several: besides the hairpin there are
Grandma's Pearl,
Grandma's Mirror and
Grandma's Necklace; it happens that instead of the scroll with the hairpin you are given one of them.

Maryse's Anger
Maryse Redbonnet lost her family and very nearly her own life to wolves as a child, and therefore burns with hatred for them. She asks that you hunt the black wolves around the village, gather forty of their pelts and bring them back to her. She will reward you with her grandmother's heirloom.

When I was 10, I decided to kill all the wolves in the world, because they killed my loving family. I didn't want this to happen to others, you see. That's why I became a wolf hunter... I still vividly remember my first kill... It was a wolf cub that was only a few days old... I killed it without mercy.
After that, I killed every wolf that I saw! I killed hundreds, no, thousands of wolves! People saw me carrying a bundle of Wolf Pelts and called me the Redbonnet the horrible. I must kill wolves! I have to kill them all!

When I was 10, I decided to kill all the wolves in the world, because they killed my loving family. I didn't want this to happen to others, you see. That's why I became a wolf hunter... I still vividly remember my first kill... It was a wolf cub that was only a few days old. I killed it without mercy.
After that, I killed every wolf that I saw! I killed hundreds, I mean, thousands of wolves! People saw me carrying a bundle of Wolf Pelts and called me the Redbonnet the horrible.
But now I am too old to hunt wolves. So, someone should kill the wolves in my stead! I want to smell their blood... The bloody stench of the enemies who killed my family! Please... It is my wish... Please kill the wolves! Kill them all!
- Say you will grant the wish
If you kill wolves for me, I will give you an article left by my grandmother as a reward! Kill the black wolves stalking everywhere outside the village right now! And strip their pelts and bring them to me! One or two is not enough! Of course not ... No way! I need many! Forty Wolf Pelts ...! Yes, bring back 40! Heh, heh, heh ...
... Forty Wolf Pelts! Is that too difficult a task? How come you didn't keep your promise? Somewhere right now, a young girl is being eaten by a wolf! I can see that!
Run out of the village now and kill all the black wolves! I want to smell the blood of wolves! The bloody stench of my enemies! All the wolves in the world must be killed!
Heh, heh, heh ... Yes, this is it ... Forty dead wolves ... Look, grandma! I killed this many wolves today as well! Aren't you happy, grandma? Aren't you? Aren't you? The horrible redbonnet is still strong!
I told you! My grandma is very happy, too! My grandma wants me to give this to you. Here! Take it! It's for making my grandma happy ... All right! Take it now!
