More Than Meets the Eye walkthrough

The quest for transformations, More Than Meets the Eye. It is taken at level 50 from Hardin himself (Hardin), who naturally stands in his private academy; the teleport to Hardin's Private Academy is from Giran, Oren or Hunters Village.

1. Hardin's Academy. Take the quest from Hardin.

   As usual in such cases, Hardin will chatter for a long time about how he invented the system of transformations and that to master it you have to run about a bit (well, as always).

   

   

2. Hunters Village. Talk to Magister Errickin.

   To begin with we go to Hunters Village and look in the dark magic guild for the NPC Errickin, to whom we have to bring 35 phials of ectoplasm, out of which he will make stabilized ectoplasm.

   

   

3. The Forest of Mirrors (teleport from Hunters Village). Hunt Forest of Mirrors Ghost (lv. 46), Forest of Mirrors Ghost (lv. 47), Forest of Mirrors Ghost (lv. 48), Mirror (lv. 49) until you have: Ectoplasm ×35.

   We set off to the Forest of Mirrors (teleport from Hunters or Aden); from the teleport point we go down to the little river and run to the right along the road to the first glade, where we find the mobs Mirror or various ghosts. The quest item drops from all these mobs, from 1 to 3 pieces. We collect the needed amount and return to Errickin.

   

   

4. Hunters Village. Return to Magister Errickin. Hand over: Ectoplasm ×35. You receive: Stabilized Ectoplasm.

5. Hardin's Academy. Return to Hardin. Hand over: Stabilized Ectoplasm. You receive: Hardin's Instructions.

   We return to Hardin; he will praise us for the zeal and send us to Dion, to Magister Clayton, who will help to craft a blank book of transformations.

6. Town of Dion. Find Magister Clayton in the Dark Elven Guild.

   We find Clayton in the guild of dark mages of Dion.

   

   

7. Plains of Dion (teleport from Town of Dion). Hunt Glass Jaguar (lv. 27) until you have: Glass Jaguar Crystal ×5.

   Clayton is no fool either, always glad to make use of somebody else's labour, so from him we go to the Plains of Dion (teleport from Dion, naturally) and right next to the teleport we beat the mobs Glass Jaguar; 5 items are needed in all, we quickly get them and return.

   

   

8. Town of Dion. Return to Magister Clayton in the Dark Elven Guild. Hand over: Glass Jaguar Crystal ×5. You receive: Blank Sealbook.

   Clayton makes us the book and sends us back to Hardin.

9. Hardin's Academy. Return to Hardin. Hand over: Blank Sealbook. You receive: Transform Sealbook: Onyx Beast.

   Hardin will do a bit of magic and give us a little bottle of steaming stinky liquid to drink. Why is everything useful so unappetizing? We drink; we are told that our training is over, given the scroll of turning into the Onyx Beast and driven out of the cave (we smell bad, you see. Sure, he himself made us drink who knows what). At least they hinted that the scrolls are added to the book of transformations on the second floor of the Ivory Tower, at the NPC Avant-Garde.

10. Ivory Tower. Talk to Transformation Wizard Avant-Garde.

    We quickly teleport to Oren, from there to the Ivory Tower, to the second floor, and learn our first transformation.

1. Hardin's Research

   Hardin, a Necromancer Grand Master heavily involved in researching Necromancy Magic, has discovered polymorph magic, the ability to transform someone's appearance. However, he is having difficulty stabilizing the soul of the subject of the magic. Listen to his story and find a way to help.

   Go to: Hardin

2. Stabilized Ectoplasm

   To create a structure appropriate for the polymorphed soul, Hardin requires Stabilized Ectoplasm. It can be obtained from Dark Elf Magister Errickin in Hunters Village. Go find him.

3. Ectoplasm

   In order to produce Stabilized Ectoplasm, ectoplasm is obviously required. Ectoplasm can be obtained from the Mirrors and Forest of Mirrors Ghosts in the Forest of Mirrors. Collect the 35 Ectoplasms needed by Errickin.

4. Ectoplasm Collected

   You have collected the 35 Ectoplasms needed. Return to Errickin in Hunters Village.

5. Stabilized Ectoplasm Acquired

   You have obtained Stabilized Ectoplasm from Errickin. Return to Hardin's Academy and give them to Hardin to continue his research.

6. Blank Sealbook

   According to Hardin, polymorph information must be engraved on the polymorpher. A Blank Sealbook is required in order to transfer information about Hardin's polymorph magic energy and engrave the polymorpher. Find Magister Clayton in Dion Town to obtain a Blank Sealbook.

7. Glass Jaguar Crystal

   According to Magister Clayton, it will require 5 Glass Jaguar Crystals to make a Blank Sealbook as Hardin has requested. You can obtain Glass Jaguar Crystals from the Glass Jaguars who live on the Plains of Dion.

8. Completed collecting the crystal of glass Jaguar

   All the necessary Glass Jaguar Crystals have been collected. Give them to Magister Clayton.
