Dwarven Kinship

Dwarven Kinship walkthrough

The quest Dwarven Kinship, for 22000 adena. Start level: 15. Start location: the village of the dark elves. Start NPC: Warehouse Freightman Carlon (Carlon). No requirements. Not repeatable. No race restrictions, any race can do it. Reward: 22000 adena. (For the C1 chronicles, and I think C2, things are not so rosy: about 6k adena in all is given for everything, and whether there is any sense in this quest I do not know. Considering that there is no teleport to the Neutral Zone in those chronicles, the run there is very long, the teleport to Gludio costs about 4k adena, and from there you still have to run to Gludin.)

1. Dark Elf Village. Take the quest from Warehouse Keeper Carlon. You receive: Carlon's Letter.

A perfectly wonderful quest for adena, available from level 15; it is taken from Warehouse Freightman Carlon, who stands in the warehouse of the village of the dark elves. There is one nuance here: in the C4 chronicles I did not find this NPC; in his place there stands the NPC Warehouse Freightman Collette, but he gives the quest too, and the task mentions precisely Carlon, not Collette; apparently the build was made by downgrading from other chronicles and they forgot to fix it. On x1 I did this quest with all the characters available, as adena was catastrophically short, and here you run a little and can already upgrade to top no-grade. There is no sense in teleporting through the gatekeeper, because too much adena goes on that, so I ran on foot.

2. Town of Gludio. Talk to Warehouse Keeper Haprock. Hand over: Carlon's Letter. You receive: Norman's Letter.

We need only one scroll of escape. We do it like this: we take the quest and run across the whole territory of the dark elves towards the Neutral Zone (if running is really hard, you can teleport to Swampland and run from there). Having crossed the dark iron bridge, run onto the central glade and use the scroll of escape to town. You find yourself in Gludio. There, in the warehouse, find the NPC Warehouse Keeper Haprock. He gives you 2000 adena and asks you to run to Gludin Village, to the NPC Warehouse Keeper Norman.

3. Gludin Village. Find Warehouse Keeper Norman in the warehouse to complete the quest. Hand over: Norman's Letter.

We run out of Gludio towards Gludin, past the Ruins of Agony and on. There are no mobs on the roads there (and if there are, it is a lousy Java build, and you should not play on it), so you will get there quickly. Norman gives you 20000 adena, and everybody is happy. Everybody should do the quest; it is only a pity that it is a one-time one.
