Beast Farm

Beast Farm is a hunting ground in Lineage 2 BoHPTS, recommended from level 83. 7 monsters of level 83–84 live here.

These pastures are created to raise beasts of Elmore for strategic military purpose by the upper class of the kingdom. The support from the state has been cut off since the kingdom's deterioration, but the herders who are willing to farm the beasts are st

Hunting notes

In Freya the location was completely reworked and the level of the mobs raised to the very top; now recipes for the Moirai gear and jewelry and for the Vesper gloves and boots are spoiled from absolutely any mob on the farm. Spoilers squeal and weep for joy. But everything in order. The teleport to the location has changed: now you appear not somewhere on the side but in the very centre, by the water tower. There is not a single aggressive mob there now, only the little animals.

Formerly all the aggressive mobs of the location were guards who looked after the beasts so that mean spoilers would not hurt them; now everything is quite different: the guards were removed, and bandits appeared who are themselves not averse to robbing the little beasts. These mobs stand on all the glades and fight with the beasts; they may kill them, and drop will be left after the beasts; or it may be the other way round: a little beast will gnaw a bandit to death, and drop will be left too.

Changes in the taming of wild animals. The types of feed stayed the same, but their effect changed: golden spice gives drop and spoil, but little experience comes for the mob; crystal spice gives no drop and no spoil, but more experience for farming the mob. We do not need the crystal mobs, so everything below is only about the golden ones. Now you can tame an unlimited number of animals; they will of course eat an awful lot, but it is nice to lead such a little train behind you.

When the beasts are fed there are now neither fighters nor mages, nor that variety of mobs there was in Interlude; it is all disgustingly simple: every type now has only four changes, and they are reflected in the names of the mobs.

  • Baby Alpine: the initial mob, the ones already standing on the glades. Young: obtained by feeding the initial mob one unit of golden spice; it seems to be x2, but this is not really stated anywhere.
  • Adult: obtained by feeding the previous stage several units of golden spice; it seems to be x3, but this is not advertised anywhere either. Full Grown: obtained by feeding the previous stage several units of golden spice (or the mob gets tamed); supposedly it is x3 too, but it seems to me that it is at least x4-x5.

Besides the tiger cubs, the bull calves and the ostriches, you can now tame bears too; that is, we now have only 16 different tameable mobs for the whole location, four kinds of each. I list them all here, and remind you once more that we are speaking only about the mobs fattened with golden spice, because only such mobs have drop and spoil.

  • Kookaburras, level 83: Baby Alpine Kookaburra, Young Kookaburra, Adult Kookaburra, Full Grown Kookaburra. Cougars, level 83: Baby Alpine Cougar, Young Cougar, Adult Cougar, Full Grown Cougar. Buffaloes, level 84: Baby Alpine Buffalo, Young Buffalo, Adult Buffalo, Full Grown Buffalo. Grendels, level 84: Baby Alpine Grendel, Young Grendel, Adult Grendel, Full Grown Grendel. Bandits, level 84: Beast Devourer and Farm Bandit.

Those are all the mobs of the location. It has somehow become rather dull, all the more because the drop and spoil do not shine with variety: for example, keys and recipes for the Moirai jewelry drop and are spoiled from all the initial beasts.

The NPC Tunatun hands out for free the Beast Handler's Whip, a whip with which you can now control the tamed herd (the animals will no longer heal or buff you on their own). The whip has 4 skills. Beast Training - Accompany makes an animal follow you. Beast Training - Release lets go the animal that is currently in the target. Beast Training - Release All lets go all the tamed animals. Beast Training - Use Special Ability orders the tamed mob to use its special abilities on you.

About the Moirai recipes: practically all of them are spoiled or drop on the farm; the only thing I had to run to the Plains of the Lizardmen for is the recipe for the light leggings. To add the Moirai and Vesper recipes to the book we learn the 10th level of craft; the book drops right here on the farm from the x3 mobs (those that are Adult). The quests of the location changed too: the names stayed the same, but the reward for them is completely different; now you can get recipes and keys for the top S80 pieces, and one more new quest was added.
