Saga of the Soul Hound
Saga of the Soul Hound is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 76+. It starts with Kekropus in Kamael Village.
Kekropus tells you about the recovery of special sealed power.
Saga of the Soul Hound walkthrough
The third class transfer for a Soul Breaker: this saga turns the character into a Soul Hound at level 76. Like every saga it is a long pilgrimage across the continent. Your allies here are Mona and Noel, the route runs past six Tablets of Vision, and the three fights are against Zakorel, Archon of Halisha and Dark Angel Othiel.
Allies and the first amulet
Kamael Village. Take the quest from Hierarch Kekropus.
Town of Goddard. Talk to Warehouse Chief Mona.
Find Head Blacksmith Noel in the smithy.
He asks for
Ice Crystal.
Ice Crystal is the reward of the repeatable quest The Finest Ingredients - Part 1, which Jeremy gives at the Hot Springs.Talk to Head Blacksmith Noel again. You receive:
Safe Key.Return to Warehouse Chief Mona. You receive:
Resonance Amulet - 1.
First three tablets
Plains of Glory. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

Resonance Amulet - 2.The guardians stand around the second tablet. Keep killing them until one leaves the amulet.

Resonance Amulet - 3.Return to Tablet of Vision.
Divine Stone and the fourth tablet
Rune Township. Talk to Head Blacksmith Lombert.
Choose whom to help, the Ketra orcs or the Varka Silenos. Either way you must bring

Kill Archon of Halisha (lv. 76) to get:
Resonance Amulet - 5.Borderland Fortress. Talk to Tablet of Vision.
Rune Harbor. Talk to Tablet of Vision.
At the sixth tablet Dark Angel Othiel appears together with Katenar. Attack the monster until it withdraws, then talk to Katenar: the last amulet comes from that conversation.
Talk to Tablet of Vision again.
You must have
Resonance Amulet - 6 from the previous step to commune with the tablet.Kamael Village. Return to Hierarch Kekropus to complete the quest.
Tips
- Collect
Ice Crystal and
Divine Stone of Wisdom before you start: both come from side quests, and with them in the bag the saga is one continuous trip. - The marks are counted per character, but monsters of the Shrine of Loyalty die much faster in a party, and several players can collect at the same time.
- The class changes in the final talk with Kekropus, so come back at level 76 or higher.

NPC dialogs
What the NPCs of the quest say, in the words of the game; under each page are the answers you can choose.
Kekropus15 pages
Oh, Soul Breaker -- how you must have suffered walking your path in silence all this time. What obstacles did you face? Did the power you pursued ultimately fail to meet your expectations?
- How did you know?
Your training is insufficient for me to lend you my assistance.
(Only Soul Breaker class characters over level 76 can undertake this quest.)
I see. When you finally unbind all the seals and reclaim the power, come find me. Then we will talk about the fate that lies before you. Until then, there is a total of 6 seals that you are under. You can unbind them at the Tablet of Vision using the Resonance Amulet. I can tell you the location of the Resonance Amulet you will need to unbind the first seal. In anticipation of this situation, I prepared the Resonance Amulet beforehand and have entrusted it to Head Warehouse Keeper Mona in the Town of Goddard. Go there and say that I sent you and that you are to receive the amulet.
This is all I can tell you now; you must discover the rest for yourself. But know that unbinding the seal is not simply about power. It is about who is truly worthy to wield such power... I will be waiting for you to unbind all the seals and return to me.
One final matter: I know you and your comrades have faced frequent attacks on this path. I can give you details about your attackers that will enable you to better withstand their assaults.
I have told you all I can. Go find Head Warehouse Keeper Mona in Goddard Castle Town. You must rely on your own skills from now on...
When we Kamael were revealed to the world, it was agreed that our power would remain sealed. Unless... should one of our own prove worthy to wield it, it would be permitted.
If you are that person, you will be able to unbind the seals and obtain the power you seek. I can only show you the way, however; the rest depends on your strength and character. If you succeed, I will wish to speak with you again about the destiny you have embraced. Would you like to try to unbind the seals?
- "Yes, I would."
I was waiting for you to return. I sense that you have reclaimed the sealed power. I know that it was not an easy path, but I congratulate you on having persevered in discovering the truth. Tell me of your quest, my young friend.
- Tell him about your adventures.
Once we were created as weapons to oppose the gods, but now, I think we must shape our own destiny as a race. I hope you are the one to free us from the constraints of the wheel of fate, the one who is able to see beyond the limitations placed on us. I will watch your progress with great interest.
ypass -h menu_select?ask=68&reply=2">Must we oppose the gods?
Are you now able to bend fate by the power of your will? I congratulate you on becoming one of the Soul Hounds. Serve our people well!
From now on, you can only achieve your destiny as one of the Soul Hounds. But...I do not think you are quite ready to walk that path. Come see me when you are more experienced. (Only characters above level 76 may change occupations.)
Because I knew that you would come to me, I want to tell you about a question that will appear at the end of the road that you intend to travel. I suspect that once you hear what I have to say the answer will become plain. We Kamael re-entered this world with certain limitations, since the power we potentially wield may have a profound and lasting impact on all the races. A portion of that power was sealed to prevent its misuse. But those who prove themselves worthy may still unlock that power within themselves...
- Does that mean I can find that power?
Yes! But be warned: Einhasad's enmity towards us had not diminished. She understands the implications of the power that we wield, a power that stems from our very origin. Because we were not created by the gods, we are not bound by the wheel of fate that governs their other creations. That is why she fears us...
- "What do you mean that we're not bound by the wheel of fate?"
Since we were created by the Giants, not the gods, we stand outside the natural order of things as established by the gods. Although individually our powers do not compare to those of the gods, we can nevertherless harm them -- just as a poisoned needle can slay the mightiest beast. But is that the totality of our purpose? Were we simply manufactured as living weapons?
(Stares silently into space.)
- Wait.
Long, long ago, the gods fashioned the world and appointed the Giants, strongest of all living things, as its stewards. However, a civil ware erupted among the gods themselves, and the world was grievously damaged through both their actions and those of their followers. The Giants grew increasingly mistrustful of the gods. They determined that in order to secure their independence, they would need power that equalled that of the gods themselves.
During the war between the gods, the Giants had learned some of the secrets of the gods' powers. Now they put that knowledge to use and forged Enuma Elish, a magical sword capable of slaying even the gods, and the magical cannon Leopold.
Within the Giants' empire of Grande Perion, they also founded a research facility called Arvitaire. It was designed to unlock the secrets of life. It was there that I was born. I worked as an assistant to the Giant scientists, who eventually created other Kamael like yourself.
Eventually, however, the goddess Einhasad became fearful of the Giants and their new strength. War again broke out in the heavens and the earth. But this time the gods were reluctant to join in. Einhasad was left to face the Giants alone.
After an initial period of success for the Giants, the war began to turn in Einhasad's favor. At that moment, the Kamael who shared my blood joined the battle.
Harkilgamed wielded Enuma Elish with deadly skill, even slaying Einhasad’s second daughter. Katenar bombarded the heavenly army with the cannon Leopold. Einhasad's troops were forced to retreat. The Giants believed that they had won a mighty victory, which in truth they had. But equally true was that the war had scarcely begun...
- Listen carefully.
Beside herself with sorrow and fury, Einhasad used the Hammer of the Stars to cast massive fireballs down on the Giants' capital, Grande Perion. Within a day, the empire had for all practical purposes perished. The survivors, Giant and Kamael alike, were hunted mercilessly by Einhasad's Soldiers of Light. But the Giant who had charge of Arviterre Laboratory was able to seal the facility to hide the remaining Kamael from the goddess. That is how this island came into being. Only recently was that seal released, allowing us to re-enter the wider world...
- "Do we have to oppose the gods?"

Why have you come to me? The Resonance Amulet? Ah! Wait a moment.
You are probably the owner of this item. Someone came to me some time ago with this broken lump and asked me to repair it. Don't ask me about that person -- he came suddenly at night, so I never got a clear look at him. Then he simply...disappeared. But he did say one thing before leaving: he told me to fix it and give it to the one who came asking about it. Unfortunately, I've been able to figure out how to fix it, but I lack some key ingredients. If you can get those for me, I can repair this.
- What do you need?
Then go to the Ketra Orcs and obtain the Divine Stone of Wisdom. Let me tell you, though, the Ketra Orcs do not trust strangers easily. To gain their trust, you must visit the headquarters of the Ketra Orcs and meet Wakan, the Ketra Messenger. He will undoubtedly ask you to perform a number of difficult tasks. With patience and diligence, you may be able to win their trust -- but if you help their enemies, the Varka Silenos, you will undo all that you have accomplished.
Then go to the Varka Silenos and obtain the Divine Stone of Wisdom. Let me tell you, though, the Varka Silenos do not trust strangers easily. To gain their trust, you must visit the headquarters of the Varka Silenos and meet Naran Ashanuk, the Varka Messenger. He will undoubtedly ask you to perform a number of difficult tasks. With patience and diligence, you may be able to win their trust -- but if you help their enemies, the Ketra Orcs, you will undo all that you have accomplished.
I know this will be a challenge, but won't it be worth it? If you gain the trust of the tribe and become their true friend, you should be able to obtain the Divine Stone of Wisdom. In the instance of Ketra Orcs, visit the Ketra Messenger, Wakan, at Ketra Orc village. For the Varka Silenos, visit the Varka messenge, Naran Ashanuk, at the Varka Silenos village.
Have you obtained the Divine Stone of Wisdom? Really? Then give it to me and I will repair the Resonance Amulet.
- Give him the Divine Stone of Wisdom.
I heard that the Tablet of Vision you are seeking is on the north side of the Varka Silenos village. You should go there.
I can use the Divine Stone of Wisdom to repair the Resonance Amulet. It can only be obtained by gaining the trust of either the Ketra Orcs or the Varka Silenos. It may be difficult, but isn't it worthwhile? Which tribe will you choose?
- I will go to the Ketra Orcs.
- I will to the Varka Silenos.
Thanks to your help, I was able to complete my task. I have a strong feeling that this will now be put to its true purpose.
Here is the Resonance Amulet. From what I was told, the Tablet of Vision you are seeking is on the north side of the Varka Silenos Outpost. Go there and continue what you have been doing. May the divine protection of Maphr be upon you!

Light from the Tablet engulfs you, overwhelming your senses with a surge of power. Does this mean that the seal is broken? It feels incomplete, however...
At that moment, knowledge from the Tablet enters your mind and a scene unfolds before you. You see a Dwarf working with a hammer -- a Blacksmith!
Wait... You think you saw him before in Rune Township.
The light from the Tablet fades away.
The Tablet is still and dark. Find the Dwarf you saw in your vision.

The seal has been broken, and the hidden power has finally been released. Return to Hierarch Kekropus.

What brings you here? You say Kekropus sent you?
Ah... You must be walking the path of the Soul Hound, too. Then I guess I should give you the item that I've been protecting. You did well in coming here. It's locked up tight in the safe, so there's nothing to worry about. Now where's that key...
...
...
- "Is something wrong?"
I already told you: visit Head Blacksmith Noel in the Town of Goddard and bring back the key. I can't take out the item without the key.
What took you so long? Did he make the key from scratch?
Really? That must have been difficult; I bet Noel complained enough to raise the roof! Well, give me the key and I'll take out the item.
- Hand over the key.
Didn't I tell you already? You need to go to the area south of the Tower of Insolence. Hurry there.
I think I lost the key...
We can't break into the safe, either. We have no choice -- you must go to Head Blacksmith Noel in the Town of Goddard and tell him that I need an extra key, and he will be able to give it to you. Simple, right?
You'd best get going then!
Here is the item that was deposited. It's called a Resonance Amulet. I heard that it activates a spell on the Tablet of Vision. I'm sure that you'll learn the rest once you find the Tablet and experience it for yourself.
The first Tablet you'll need to find is in the area south of the Tower of Insolence. That's what I've heard, anyway; it's no use asking about anything else.

What brings you to me? All the orders are backed up; it's chaos!
- I've come to get the key Mona requested.
Dd you bring the ice crystals? You don't know where to find them? I thought I told you...
Go see Chef Jeremy in the Hot Springs region.
Have you brought the ice crystals? Then hurry up and give them to me! Time's a-wastin'!
- Give him the ice crystals.
I seem to remember already giving you the key. You should be visiting Mona, not me.
Mona, eh? You've come for the key? Did she lose it again? I'm sorry, but I don't have any spare keys made right now.
Is this urgent? You realize that it's not something I can make easily. I must use cast iron to make the basic frame and then shave it down to add detail. However, there is a step that requires it to be cooled down, and I'll need ice crystals to do it. I don't have enough to spare at the moment, but if you can bring me some additional ice crystals I'll make the key for you right away.
I hear that you can get ice crystals from Chef Jeremy in the Hot Springs region. Unless you know of another source, I'd go ask him if I were you.
Wait right there.
...
Here you go! Here's the key -- now take it to Mona.

Who's there! Reveal yourself at once! Ah, you're after this Resonance Amulet, too, aren't you? You can try to take it by force if you wish, but I warn you that I won't give it up so easily.
You...you're... a Soul Breaker! Why are you here?
- I saw you in the Tablet of Vision and came to see you.
The Archon of Halisha can be found in the 4 Sepulchers at the Imperial Tomb. If you defeat his minions on the northern side of the Wall of Argos, you can also force him to appear. Wrest the Resonance Amulet from him and take it to the northwest side of the Wall of Argos.
Aye, how time does fly! You have come for my Resonance Amulet, I suspect.
My apologies for my bad manners just now; I was under attack when you appeared, and I assumed you were simply another enemy. My friend, I regret that you have come all this way -- I cannot give you this Resonance Amulet! I am also on the same path as you, you see, and I need it as well. I can tell you, however, how to get one for yourself. That would also be good training for you, wouldn't it? The Resonance Amulet you need is in the hands of the Archon of Halisha. He can be found at the Imperial Tomb, but I have also heard that he will appear if his followers on the northern side of the Wall of Argos are attacked. Whichever you choose, defeat him and the Amulet will be yours!
