Doombringer 3rd class transfer quest

Quest: Saga of the Doombringer

Saga of the Doombringer is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 76+. It starts with Kekropus in Kamael Village.

To become a Doombringer, a Berserker must use the Tablets of Vision to release the seal within.

Saga of the Doombringer walkthrough

The third class transfer for a Berserker: this saga turns the character into a Doombringer at level 76. Like every saga it is a long pilgrimage across the continent. Your allies here are Duroga and Mist, the route runs past six Tablets of Vision, and the three fights are against Vision Guard Eranus, Archon of Halisha and Archangel Kanriel.

Allies and the first amulet

  1. Kamael Village. Take the quest from Hierarch Kekropus.

  2. Town of Aden. Talk to Master Duroga.

  3. Hot Springs (teleport from Town of Goddard). Talk to Information Broker Mist.

    He asks for Ice Crystal.

  4. Ice Crystal is the reward of the repeatable quest The Finest Ingredients - Part 1, which Jeremy gives at the Hot Springs.

  5. Talk to Information Broker Mist again. You receive: Freezer.

  6. Town of Aden. Return to Master Duroga. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 1.

First three tablets

  1. Plains of Glory. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

  2. Monastery of Silence (teleport from Town of Goddard). Hunt Guardian of Forbidden Knowledge (lv. 76) until you have: Resonance Amulet - 2.

The guardians stand around the second tablet. Keep killing them until one leaves the amulet.

  3. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

  4. Shrine of Loyalty. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

Touching the third tablet calls Vision Guard Eranus. The monster stays only for a short time, so be ready to fight before you talk.

  5. Kill Vision Guard Eranus (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 3.

  6. Return to Tablet of Vision.

Divine Stone and the fourth tablet

  1. Town of Goddard. Talk to Master Digler.

Choose whom to help, the Ketra orcs or the Varka Silenos. Either way you must bring Divine Stone of Wisdom: the Ketra messenger Wahkan gives it for the quest Magical Power of Water - Part 1, the Varka messenger Naran Ashanuk for Magical Power of Fire - Part 1. Both quests need an alliance of level 2 or higher with that side.

  2. Talk to Master Digler again. You receive: Resonance Amulet - 4.

  3. Garden of Beasts. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

Halisha's minions and the last tablets

  1. Town of Goddard. Return to Master Digler.

  2. Shrine of Loyalty. Hunt Grave Scarab (lv. 73), Scavenger Scarab (lv. 73), Grave Ant (lv. 74), Scavenger Ant (lv. 74), Shrine Knight (lv. 75), Shrine Guard (lv. 75) until you have: Halisha's Mark ×700.

With 700 marks in the bag the next kills bring out Archon of Halisha, who attacks you at once. A faster way for a strong party is to kill an Archon of Halisha inside the Four Sepulchers: it counts as well.

  3. Kill Archon of Halisha (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 5.

  4. Borderland Fortress. Talk to Tablet of Vision.

Tablet of Vision in Lineage 2 Scryde
  5. Forest of the Dead (teleport from Rune Township). Talk to Tablet of Vision.

At the sixth tablet Archangel Kanriel appears together with Harkilgamed. Attack the monster until it withdraws, then talk to Harkilgamed: the last amulet comes from that conversation.

Tablet of Vision in Lineage 2 Scryde
  6. Talk to Tablet of Vision again.

You must have Resonance Amulet - 6 from the previous step to commune with the tablet.

  7. Kamael Village. Return to Hierarch Kekropus to complete the quest.

Tips

  • Collect Ice Crystal and Divine Stone of Wisdom before you start: both come from side quests, and with them in the bag the saga is one continuous trip.
  • The marks are counted per character, but monsters of the Shrine of Loyalty die much faster in a party, and several players can collect at the same time.
  • The class changes in the final talk with Kekropus, so come back at level 76 or higher.

Ah, you. I have been expecting you. So you are unsatisfied with your present position? That is understandable. As you are, you cannot reach your full potential as a Kamael.

Now, however, you will be able to access the power in you that, as mentioned in the "Forgotten History," was sealed by the lady in the blue dress...

  • "Forgotten History? Sealed? Please tell me the story in more detail."

Eh, what is it? You feel something lacking, that your true potential is hidden from you? You are still too young to say such things, but come see me again when you have completed your training.

(Only Berserkers level 76 or higher may undertake this quest.)

Then you must embark upon a journey to unleash your sealed power. Scattered throughout the world there are magical objects that can help unlock your potential called Tablets of Vision. These 6 Tablets of Vision should provide you the insight necessary to break the seal. Visit Master Duroga in the Town of Aden. He will give you additional details.

On this quest, you will also likely encounter the Guard of Vision, Eranude, who is a kind of watchman for the Tablets of Vision. His task is to test the individuals who approach the Tablets of Vision to ensure they are worthy to communicate with the objects. Approach him with great care!

These 6 Tablets of Vision should provide you the insight necessary to break the seal. Visit Master Duroga in the Town of Aden. He will give you additional details.

I do not have the time to tell you everything now, but this at least you should know: We Kamael were not sealed on this Isle of Souls because of our combat prowess, as is generally believed, but rather to disguise our true identity and origin.

A man in black armor and a woman in a blue dress -- I cannot say more about their identities than that -- ultimately released the seal to allow us back into the world in order to help oppose the growing power of Shilen and her followers.

But though we may now venture onto the surface of the wide world, our true potential is still limited. Still, the woman promised to release those limitations when someone with the proper qualifications appeared.

I believe that you may meet those qualifications: the ability to wield Enuma Elish, the sword that can divide heaven and earth. Will you attempt to unbind your sealed power?

  • Say you will.

Ah, you are back. Good!

How was your journey? Have you learned the truth at last?

  • Ask if Enuma Elish was really created as a weapon to oppose the gods, and whether the Kamael once warred with the gods.

That is indeed the substance of the "Forgotten History." We were living weapons, beings created by the Giants to battle the gods themselves. Released from the restraints of the gods, the Kamael could not be ruled by them.

But remember, our history is just that: history. The Giants are long vanished, and we must now chart our own path through this chaotic era. In the near future, you will be forced to choose whether to wield Enuma Elish against the gods, or if there is another purpose for the sword.

I have faith that you will choose wisely, Doombringer.

You have done well, but you are not yet ready to assume a greater role. Come back when you are more experienced.

The "Forgotten History" was never revealed to the other races. Even now, the only ones who know its details are myself and a few of our Elders and the three great heroes of the Kamael. The world believes that we were sealed on the island because of the threat posed by our combat skills. They do not know the truth...

  • Continue listening.

Have you already spoken with Harkilgamed?

Well then, I will relate the basics.

Long, long ago, the gods entrusted the rulership of this world to the Giants, who grew in strength and knowledge. Then the gods became embroiled in a vicious civil war, which spread to this world and caused a great deal of destruction.

As a result, the Giants lost their faith in the gods; they began to regard them as flawed, selfish and childish beings who did not deserve the immense power they wielded. To prevent a recurrence of what had happened during the war, the Giants began to systematically build their power, using their science to research the secrets of the gods' power, magic and lifeforce. A massive research facility, Arviterre Laboratory, was even built as part of these efforts.

  • Continue listening

Many of the Giants began to clamor for more active opposition to the gods. They began to experiment with life itself, ultimately creating a new, innocent, living being free from the restraints imposed on other mortals by the gods. That is how the Kamael came into this world, including myself.

But finally the gods noticed the Kamael. Einhasad saw our presence as an act of rebellion and was furious. War broke out between the gods and the Giants -- although technically, it was actually a war between Einhasad and the Giants. The other gods did not participate in the war, but I do not know why.

  • Continue listening.

The Giants used the Kamael as soldiers in the war, particularly our three great Kamael heroes, Harkilgamed, Katenar and Rodenpicula. Each wielded a special weapon against the forces of Einhasad, and they fought well, even forcing the goddess and her nine daughers to retreat after being seriously injured. Thanks to their help, the Giants even captured Einhasad's castle.

They believed that the war had been won, but that was not the case. Beside herself with rage, Einhasad struck the capital city of the Giants, Grande Perion, with the Hammer of the Stars. Fireballs fell from the heavens, destroying the first empire of the Giants. Einhasad's daughters hunted the few survivors.

In the midst of this chaos, the Giant who was in charge of developing the Kamael sealed both the surviving Kamael and Arviterre Laboratory to hide it from Einhasad. His hope was that one day, the descendants of those Kamael would prove a poison dagger that would ultimately destroy the gods. His plan depended on the seal eventually being removed, but with most of the Giants dead or in hiding, we were forgotten by the world...

  • Continue listening.

That is how the Age of the Giants ended. After they passed, the Elves became dominant, then the Orcs, and now the Humans. But for those of us sealed within Arviterre Laboratory, which became known as the Isle of Souls, it was as if time had stopped. Only thanks to a man in black armor who was able to penetrate the seal did we from time to time learn of happenings in the wider world. Then one day, the man came with a woman in a dazzling blue dress. They announced their intention to unbind the seal and reveal the Island and its inhabitants to the other races. We Kamael were needed, they said, to help fight the growing threat of Shilen and her evil followers.

Hail and well met! You are on a quest to find the Tablets, are you not? Have you encountered anything strange so far? What? The first stone turned unexpectedly hot?

Hmm... . I suspect that someone is attempting to sabotage your quest. A few days, someone put a mark on the stone while I was out. The old saw that "he who wields Enuma Elish is sought by many" must be true.

You have heard of Enuma Elish, have you not? It is one of the three great Kamael swords. What you will acquire should you complete your quest is actually the copy of the actual Enuma Elish. That puzzles me -- why would someone be trying to undermine you even before you have acquired the skills to wield Enuma Elish?

In any event, I am afraid that my stone cannot be matched to any of the Tablets.

  • Then what can be done?

Go to the Ketra Orcs and bring back the Divine Stone of Wisdom. If you gain the trust of Soul Guide Asefa and prove yourself to the Ketra's Messenger, Wahkan, you should be able to obtain the Stone.

Alternately, you can obtain the stone from Soul Guide Udan Mardui through the Varka's Messenger, Naran Ashanuk. It matters not which path you choose, as long as you return with the Divine Stone of Wisdom.

Ah, you have brought back the Divine Stone of Wisdom. Well done!

Now we can restore the function of my amulet using the spiritual strength of the holy stone.

  • Watch.

Take this stone to the Tablet of Vision north of the Varka Silenos.

In order to renew the power of the damaged amulet, we need the Divine Stone of Wisdom and its strong spiritual power.

That stone is possessed by two great magicians: the Soul Guide Asefa of the Ketra Orcs and the Soul Guide Udan Mardui of the Varka Silenos.

They will award the stone to the most intelligent ones among their kind. If you can gain either's trust and prove your worthiness, they will give you the stone.

There is no other way than to obtain the Divine Stone of Wisdom other than from them. What will you do?

  • Get the stone from the Ketra Orcs.
  • Get the stone from the Varka Silenos.

Excellent -- now the amulet will renew itself. Take it to the Tablet of Vision north of the Varka Silenos.

You have returned! How was your encounter with the Tablet of Vision? While you were gone, some of the other masters and I have been investigating the strange happenings. We suspect that there is definitely someone working against the power of Enuma Elish. We do not know his identity, but we think he might be planning to exterminate anything related to Enuma Elish. I am especially worried for Harkilgamed, the last of our kind to take over the stone, who is already in hiding. Not only has he wielded the sword, he even knows its location. As for you, do not relax your guard during this quest!

Ah! We must talk about the amulet. I have it, but I cannot give it to you at this time.

  • Ask why not.

You can obtain the amulet by defeating Halisha , who is located within the four great cemeteries. You must form a party to enter.

If that proves too difficult, defeat the followers of Halisha at the Memorials of the Lords. By doing so, you can earn "tickets." Once you have acquired over 700

tickets, Halisha himself will appear. By the way, the creatures you must face are the Grave Scarab, Scavenger Scarab, Grave Ant, Scavenger Ant, Shrine Knight and Stander.

We must have this amulet to attract the opponents who are interested in Enuma Elish. Fortunately, it can be obtained through other means...

Whew, that was too close for comfort! Thank you! My name is Harkilgamed. Have we met before?

It is my duty to deliver this final Resonance Amulet to the pilgrims, and one of Einhasad's followers was trying to steal it before I could give it to you. You have already heard, haven't you? There is someone searching for Enuma Elish. What, are you surprised?

  • Ask why Einhasad is searching for Enuma Elish.

Mmm... Enuma Arishu was a sword originally forged with the power to cut the gods themselves. It was used to wound Einhasad herself, which is why she will not rest until she finds it. Because of that, I, who know the sword's true whereabouts, am continually pursued by Einhasad's followers.

I do not understand why they have struck here and now, though. I must pursue Einhasad's follower -- I wish to interrogate him...

Quick freeze device? Master Duroga sent you, eh? Hmm... Well, this is essential for enjoying sherbet after a dip in the hot springs... But since I owe Duroga a favor, I suppose I can lend it to you.

Unfortunately, its power source is all but depleted right now.

  • "Then what should I do?"

Ice Crystals are needed for the quick freeze device to operate properly. Get Ice Crystals from Chef Jeremy. He is in a spot of trouble, and I am sure he would reward you for helping him.

Ah, you have finally brought an Ice Crystal! Give it to me.

Word has reached me that you are embarked on a quest to find the 6 Tablets of Vision. Prepare yourself -- this will not be an easy task. To simply find the Tablets is insufficient; you will need special Resonance Amulets to communicate with each Tablet.

I can tell you the location of the amulets. However...

  • "Yes?"

You have not left for the spa? Go find Mist at the information desk and borrow an instant freezer. Tell him that I sent you.

Well done -- I see that you have brought back the instant freezer. Now, put the amulet in here...

...and there! It is ready. Now you may use it to communicate with the Tablet. Having done so, I suspect your path will become very clear.

  • "Clear?"

Take the amulet to the Tablet of Vision located near the Tower of Insolence in the south. There your path will become clear...

The first amulet has become white hot for no reason I can discern, rendering it unusable. If you borrow the instant freezer from the information desk at the spa, we may be able to correct the problem. Go there and tell them that I sent you.

The Tablets tend to attract their corresponding Amulets, which will reveal the location to you.

After you have communicated with this Tablet, the location of the next Resonance Amulet will also be revealed to you. Through this process you will be able to acquire each of the Amulets in turn and complete the quest.

Here is the first Amulet. Take it to the Tablet of Vision located south of the Tower of Insolence.
