Good Day to Fly
Good Day to Fly is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 75+. It starts with Lekon.
Engineer Lekon of the Keucereus Alliance Base says that today is a good day to fly since the sky is clear. But he says a certificate is necessary to fly. He says he will guarantee you the right to fly if you complete a simple mission...
Good Day to Fly walkthrough
To be able to craft attribute crystals and to buy other items for star stones, we have to do several quests, in order to learn the flying transformation and the skill of extracting star stones. All the quests are done on the continent of Gracia; the start NPC is the dwarf Lekon at the Keucereus Alliance Base. The quests can be done from level 75. The first quest we have to do is Good Day to Fly. As a reward you get
Lekon's Certificate, needed for farming the items for which recipes and key materials of Icarus weapons are bought, and a book of the flying transformation,
Spellbook - Aurabird Falcon or
Spellbook - Aurabird Owl.
Keucereus Alliance Base. Take the quest from Engineer Lekon.
Lekon needs several quest items that drop from mobs. But as you can move about Gracia only in flight, Lekon will turn you into a birdie, at your choice a falcon (warrior) or an owl (mage). I preferred the falcon, as I had warrior buffs on me at that moment. Controlling the transformation in flight is not hard, those who played the old DOS games will get it at once: the keys Q W E A S D.
Hunt Vulture Rider (lv. 74), Vulture Rider (lv. 75) until you have:
Rider's Mark ×5.We fly south of the alliance base; above you the mobs Vulture Rider will appear, the mobs are witless and do not attack in a crowd; we knock 5 quest items Rider's Mark out of them and return to Lekon.

Return to Engineer Lekon to complete the quest. Hand over:
Rider's Mark ×5. You receive:
Lekon's Certificate. We hand the items in and get the reward. If you want by all means to learn all the flying transformations, the missing ones can be bought for adena from the neighbouring NPC Tolonis; he also sells the transformation for the Kamael (
Spellbook - Flying Final Form). We learn the flying transformations by double-clicking the book. Then we take the next quest from Lekon: Collecting in the Air.
Tips
- The base lies on the continent of Gracia and is reached by airship from the dock near Gludio. The engineer stands near the fountain in the west of the base. If the transformation ends before the task is done, he gives the same bird again.
- Flying transformations work only in the sky of Gracia: on the old continent the learned bird cannot be called.
Rewards
- EXP25,160
- SP2,525

Qualifications to fly
Engineer Lekon of the Keucereus Alliance Base says that today is a good day to fly since the sky is clear. But he says that a certificate that proves you are qualified to fly is required. In order to gain this certificate hunt Vulture riders or Elite Riders that fly over the skies of Keucereus Alliance Base and bring back Rider Marks.

Even at my busiest, I see the sky now and again -- it's so beautiful!
Look at it! Not a cloud to be seen, a gentle breeze... Don't you agree that it's a perfect day to fly?
- "Perfect day to fly?!"
Even at my busiest, I see the sky now and again -- it's so beautiful!
Look at it! Not a cloud to be seen, a gentle breeze... Don't you agree that it's a perfect day to fly? You don't have any idea what I'm talking about, do you? Well, with some more experience I'm sure you will understand.
(Only characters who are level 75 or higher may undertake this quest.)
Say, didn't you already earn the qualification? You don't need my permission to fly anymore -- you're free to do so whenever you want. Now go!
(You have already completed this quest.)
A skilled adventurer like you doesn't know about this? You don't know about the flying creature named Aurabird? Hmm. Well, listen carefully.
Long, long ago the Aurabirds were the pet birds of the Giants. They were believed extinct until very recently. But it appears that at least a few survived in the high mountains.
- Listen to the story.
When the Seed suddenly appeared in Gracia, the Aurabirds' spirit protected them from the contamination that affected the other creatures. They flew here to the Keucereus Alliance Base, where the power of the Seed is weakest. I guess they wanted to survive.
A few of us were interested in the origins and biology of the Aurabirds. But more wanted to find a way to use them in the war effort.
An Aurabird is big enough for even a young Orc to ride, after all! Several of us thought they held the key to avoiding dependence on Airships.
- Keep listening.
If the method was easy, we would have certainly have used it before now. We did find some ancient historical documents, but until recently we were unable to successfully duplicate the process. Only through the efforts of several Necromancers, the Wizards of the Ivory Tower and Dwarven technology were we finally able to do it.
Our process magically transforms a person to provide Aurabird activity without changing the person's original shape.
For it to be effective, the user must have transformation capability and possess certain magical items.
- "Then what do I need to do to fly?"
Any skilled adventurer in Gracia is permitted to fly. Hunting and collecting are possible up there too.
Of course, you will need to pass a simple test to prove that you're a match for any of the monsters you might encounter. I'm not worried about you, though! So how about it? Would you like to take the test?
- Say yes.
The test is very simple. Just bring me 5 Rider Marks as proof that you defeated those blasted Vulture Riders. Then I will give you permission to fly in the Gracian skies.
For now, I will temporarily transform you myself; go fly over there and complete the mission.
Before we begin, though, you have an important choice to make.
- "What choice?"
You must select a type of Aurabird. There are two types to choose from.
When the Aurabird was first created during the Age of the Giants, it is said they altered several species. However, only two types survived after the fall of the Giants.
One is called the Aurabird Falcon, which has a penchant for melee type attacks and flies very fast. The other is called the Aurabird Owl, which leans more towards magic type attacks. The Aurabird Owl flies more slowly, but has easier maneuverability.
Which type do you want to be transformed into?
- Aurabird Falcon
- Aurabird Owl
- "I need to think about it."
In order to prove yourself, you need to bring 5 Rider Marks as proof that you defeated the Vulture Riders.
So, should I transform you into an Aurabird Falcon or an Aurabird Owl?
- Aurabird Falcon
- Aurabird Owl
- "I need to think about it."
You chose an Aurabird Falcon, eh? A good choice... The sight of it streaking across the sky, closing in on its prey, is a beautiful thing.
Good hunting!
You chose an Aurabird Owl, eh? A good choice... The sight of it silently sneaking up on its enemy is a beautiful thing.
Good hunting!
Ha! You're asking for transformation while you have a pet or servitor standing here? What will happen to them when you fly away? I'm sure as heck not taking care of them!
First take care of your business and then come back and see me.
Hmm... Can't make a decision, eh? Indecision won't help you up there, that's for sure. Are you sure you're ready for this?
Well, make up your mind and talk to me when you've decided. Hurry up, though. I don't have all day!
Eh? The transformation has ended? Then I will transform you again into your choice of Aurabird.
- Transform
- "I need a moment to prepare."
You're all set -- good hunting!
You're just wasting my time. Get ready or get out!
How did it go? Ah, I was right about you. I knew you would succeed! (Ah, this one will be very useful to us...)
Huh? What's that? Oh, it's nothing -- just talking to myself. Very well, let me write out your certificate.
(He writes something on a paper.)
With this, nobody will question your right to fly.
I will also give you a spellbook that describes how to transform into your choice of Aurabird. Use it and I think you'll be able to fly in the Gracian skies without any help from me.
Good luck!
