Saga of the Cardinal

Saga of the Cardinal is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 High Five for characters of level 76+. It starts with Hollint in Town of Oren.

Hollint asks you to verify whether or not the one claiming to be the Saint of Light in the Town of Goddard is authentic.

Walkthrough

The third class transfer for a Bishop: this saga turns the character into a Cardinal at level 76. Like every saga it is a long pilgrimage across the continent. Your allies here are Agnes and Duncan, the route runs past six Tablets of Vision, and the three fights are against Fallen Angel Haures, Archon of Halisha and Fallen Angel Tanakia.

Allies and the first amulet

  1. Start the quest with Hollint (Town of Oren).

  2. Talk to Agnes (Town of Goddard).

  3. Talk to Duncan (Hot Springs).

    He asks for Ice Crystal.

  4. Ice Crystal is the reward of the repeatable quest The Finest Ingredients - Part 1, which Jeremy gives at the Hot Springs.

  5. Return to Duncan (Hot Springs). You receive: Offering.

  6. Return to Agnes (Town of Goddard). You receive: Resonance Amulet - 1.

First three tablets

  1. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Plains of Glory).

  2. Hunt Guardian of Forbidden Knowledge (lv. 76) until you have: Resonance Amulet - 2. Where: Monastery of Silence.

    The guardians stand around the second tablet. Keep killing them until one leaves the amulet.

  3. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Monastery of Silence).

  4. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Varka Silenos Barracks).

    Touching the third tablet calls Fallen Angel Haures. The monster stays only for a short time, so be ready to fight before you talk.

  5. Kill Fallen Angel Haures (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 3.

  6. Return to Tablet of Vision (Varka Silenos Barracks).

Divine Stone and the fourth tablet

  1. Talk to Bastian (Town of Goddard).

    Choose whom to help, the Ketra orcs or the Varka Silenos. Either way you must bring Divine Stone of Wisdom: the Ketra messenger Wahkan gives it for the quest Magical Power of Water - Part 1, the Varka messenger Naran Ashanuk for Magical Power of Fire - Part 1. Both quests need an alliance of level 2 or higher with that side.

  2. Return to Bastian (Town of Goddard). You receive: Resonance Amulet - 4.

  3. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Garden of Beasts).

Halisha's minions and the last tablets

  1. Return to Bastian (Town of Goddard).

  2. Hunt Grave Scarab (lv. 73), Scavenger Scarab (lv. 73), Grave Ant (lv. 74), Scavenger Ant (lv. 74), Shrine Knight (lv. 75), Shrine Guard (lv. 75) until you have: Halisha's Mark ×700. Where: Shrine of Loyalty.

    With 700 marks in the bag the next kills bring out Archon of Halisha, who attacks you at once. A faster way for a strong party is to kill an Archon of Halisha inside the Four Sepulchers: it counts as well.

  3. Kill Archon of Halisha (lv. 76) to get: Resonance Amulet - 5.

  4. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Borderland Fortress).

  5. Talk to Tablet of Vision (Bayou Fortress).

    At the sixth tablet Fallen Angel Tanakia appears together with Dawn Witness Franz. Attack the monster until it withdraws, then talk to Dawn Witness Franz: the last amulet comes from that conversation.

  6. Return to Tablet of Vision (Bayou Fortress).

    You must have Resonance Amulet - 6 from the previous step to commune with the tablet.

  7. Return to Hollint (Town of Oren) to complete the quest.

Tips

  • Collect Ice Crystal and Divine Stone of Wisdom before you start: both come from side quests, and with them in the bag the saga is one continuous trip.
  • The marks are counted per character, but monsters of the Shrine of Loyalty die much faster in a party, and several players can collect at the same time.
  • The class changes in the final talk with Hollint, so come back at level 76 or higher.

  1. Meet the Saint of Light

    Hollint says that the Saint of Light has appeared in the Town of Goddard and asks you to meet with her and verify that she's actually the legendary saint.

    Agnes asks you to visit Chef Duncan in the Hot Springs area and bring her some food.

  3. Return with the Ice Crystals

    Chef Duncan needs Ice Crystals to keep the food fresh.

  4. Return to Agnes

    When you deliver the Ice Crystals, Chef Duncan hands you a well-packaged jar containing the food. Take it to Saint of Light Agnes.

  5. Go to the Tablet of Vision

    Saint of Light Agnes gives you the Resonance Amulet and tells you to go to the Tablet of Vision.

  6. In Search of the Second Resonance Amulet

    According to the first Tablet of Vision, you'll meet someone who has the Resonance Amulet near the next tablet.

    You have acquired the second Resonance Amulet. Go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

  8. In Search of the Third Resonance Amulet

    At the second tablet, you saw who has the Resonance Amulet near the third tablet. To find him, commune with the third tablet.

  10. Meet Bastian

    At the third tablet, you learned that Priest Bastian in the Town of Goddard has a Resonance Amulet. Visit him and get the Resonance Amulet.

    Priest Bastian tells you to gain the trust of Ketra's Messenger Wahkan and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.

    Priest Bastian tells you to gain the trust of Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.

    You've got the Divine Stone of Wisdom and made a new Resonance Amulet. Now, go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

  14. Meet Bastian

    The location of the next Resonance Amulet is not revealed, but Priest Bastian of the Town of Goddard is briefly seen motioning goodbye. He may know something. Speak with him again.

    Priest Bastian tells you that if you go north from the fork in road, you'll get to the Shrine of Loyalty. If you go east from there, you'll find the Imperial Tomb.
