Interlude Seven Signs
The Seven Signs is a contest of two sides, the Lords of Dawn and the Revolutionaries of Dusk, for the power of three seals. The winners get ancient adena, the necropolises and catacombs and the merchants of Mammon. Below: the cycle, how to join and score, what each seal gives, and every dungeon of Interlude with its levels.
What it is
The Lords of Dawn are the clans and alliances that own castles, and those they let in; the Revolutionaries of Dusk are everyone else. The side with the higher score rules the seals for a week: its members get ancient adena, the dungeons of the seals and the deals of the merchants of Mammon.
The cycle
A cycle lasts two weeks and repeats without a break. The first week is the competition: from Monday 18:00 to the next Monday 18:00 both sides collect points. The score is counted for another 15 minutes, then the seal validation period begins, also for a week until Monday 18:00. After it everyone is free to choose a side again.
How to join
One joins only during the competition: with a Priest of Dawn for the Lords of Dawn, with a Dusk Priestess for the Revolutionaries of Dusk. They stand in every town. A side cannot be left until the next cycle.
- After the first class transfer anyone may join the Lords of Dawn.
- After the second class transfer the Lords of Dawn take the members of castle-owning clans and alliances (they join it by themselves), and others only with a lord's certificate (
Lord of the Manor's Certificate of Approval): the chamberlain of a castle sells it, and a lord may buy up to 300 of them and hand them to anyone. - Those whose clan or alliance owns a castle cannot join the Revolutionaries of Dusk.
How to score
Half of the final score of a side comes from the seal stones, the other half from the Festival of Darkness.
- The seal stones (
Blue Seal Stone,
Green Seal Stone,
Red Seal Stone) drop from the Nephilim, Gigants, Lilim and Liths, who live only in the necropolises and catacombs. They are handed to a priest of one's side in any town. - The Festival of Darkness is held in the Oracle of Dawn and the Oracle of Dusk: a party of at least two fights waves of monsters for a short time and collects blood offerings. The entry is paid in seal stones; one may take part as often as one likes.
- The festival has five grades by level: up to 32, up to 43, up to 54, up to 65 and no limit. The best party of a grade brings its side 60, 70, 100, 120 and 150 points.
The seals
On joining everyone picks one of the three seals. The winning side takes a seal when at least 35% of its members picked it; when the side held that seal in the last cycle, 10% is enough.
Seal of Avarice
- The necropolises are open only to the holders of the seal (to both sides after a draw).
- The Merchant of Mammon appears in the necropolises: for ancient adena he sells enchant armor scrolls of every grade, A-Grade crystals, gemstones and dyes.
- A raid boss waits in the Disciple's Necropolis: Lilith when Dawn has won, Anakim when Dusk has.
Seal of Gnosis
- The catacombs are open only to the holders of the seal (to both sides after a draw).
- The Blacksmith of Mammon appears in the catacombs: for ancient adena he trades D- and C-Grade weapons for better ones and gives the SA to A- and S-Grade weapons.
- The priests of the winners teleport to the big hunting grounds for ancient adena.
- The Orator of Revelations in the towns casts helpful magic on the winners, the Preacher of Doom curses the losers.
Seal of Strife
- The seal works on the castles. Held by the Lords of Dawn: the elite mercenaries of Dawn may be hired, castle gates and walls are stronger and cheaper to upgrade, the tax may be up to 25%.
- Held by the Revolutionaries of Dusk: only weak mercenaries, gates and walls are much weaker and dearer to upgrade, the tax is at most 5%.
Ancient adena
The winners get ancient adena from a priest of their side for the stones they handed in: 3 for a blue stone, 5 for a green one, 10 for a red one; during the seal validation period the stones can simply be traded too. It is spent with the priests (CP potions, SP scrolls and more) and with the merchant and the blacksmith of Mammon. The fee of the Festival of Darkness goes in full to the best party of each grade from the winning side.
Necropolises and catacombs
The levels are those the priests name for each dungeon; a dungeon opens on its page with its monsters.
