Fishing on Scryde

In short

• To start fishing, buy a rod of the grade that suits your level and learn the skill — Fishing Expertise.
• The rod, the skills, the quests and the exchange of your catch are in any town, in the Grocery Store, from the NPC titled "Fishing guild member".
• Fishing on the Scryde servers is fully automatic, so the skills for playing a fish are not needed and have been removed from the game. Once you have the skill and the rod, just walk up to water and press the fishing icon that appears (see the gif above). Press the same icon again to stop.
• How many fish you can catch depends on the grade of the rod (see the table below).
• The colour of the fish also depends on the level of the skill Fishing Expertise. Higher levels of the skill open as the character levels up.

The main mechanics

• Rods come in different grades (No‑Grade, D, C, B, A, S). The grade sets the daily limit of the catch (see the table).
• You must have lures before fishing: Prize-Winning Fishing Lure (day) or Prize-Winning Night Fishing Lure (night). The night lure works better.
• Using soulshots raises the chance and speed of the catch.

Soulshots quest

On the mid and high rates of Scryde (x50, x100, x1000) fishing shots are sold in the GM shop (alt-b) in the section "Consumables".

On the low rates of Scryde (x, x2) fishing shots are given for the quest "Fishing floats", taken from the NPC "Fishing guild member

After taking the quest you will get from almost every monster in the game Sweet Fluid , which the same NPC exchanges at this rate:

Using the catch

• The fish itself is of no use except in a few quests. To make fishing pay, open the fish (one at a time with a right click on the fish, the whole stack with ctrl + right click). It is best to open fish with a Premium Account: the drop is bigger.
• What you get can be exchanged at the Fisherman NPC for Fishing Proofs or for jewellery recipes, or simply sold to a shop.
• Fish also give Gemstones.
