Trial of the Challenger walkthrough

The first of the three marks for Gladiator, Warlord, Swordsinger, Bladedancer, Destroyer and Tyrant, available from level 35. It is a chain of four boss fights: each target sits in its own cave, is level 34–36 and has guards, so most players bring a party or outlevel the quest.

1. Town of Dion. Find Kash in the Warriors Guild and take the quest. You receive: Letter of Kash.

   

   

2. Undine Waterfall. Kill Shyslassys (lv. 36) to get: Broken Key.

   She lives in the cave behind the Undine Waterfall, in the north of the Neutral Zone.

   

   

3. A Chest Of Shyslassys appears when she dies. Open it with the key to take Scroll of Shyslassys.

4. Town of Dion. Return to Kash in the Warriors Guild.

5. Giran Castle Town. Find Martien at the north gate.

   

   

6. Floran Village. Kill Gorr (lv. 36) to get: Watcher's 1st Eye.

   Gorr haunts a cave near Floran Village.

   

   

7. Giran Castle Town. Return to Martien at the north gate.

8. Bee Hive (teleport from Town of Dion). Kill Baraham (lv. 36) to get: Watcher's 2nd Eye.

   His cave is close to the lair of Gorr. When he falls, a stranger appears next to you.

   

   

9. Talk to Champion Raldo.

   

10. Dwarven Village. Find Gray Pillar's Filaur in the main hall of the village.

    

    

11. Mithril Mines (teleport from Dwarven Village). Kill Succubus Queen (lv. 34).

    She waits in the deepest part of the Mithril Mines. After her death Raldo shows up again.

    

    

12. Return to Champion Raldo to complete the quest. You receive: Mark of Challenger.

1. Cave of the Shyslassys

   Kash says that anyone who wants to get the mark of challenger should enter the cave behind the Undine Waterfall in the northern part of the Neutral Zone, destroy Shyslassys and retrieve an old parchment.

2. Return to Kash

   You've defeated Shyslassys and retrieved the parchment. Take it to Kash.

3. In search of Martien

   Kash tells you to get the mark of challenger from Martien in Giran Castle Town.

   Go to: Martien

4. Defeat Gorr

   Martien says that he will give you the mark of challenger if you defeat an evil spirit known as Gorr that haunts the area around Floran Village.

   Go to: ???

5. Return to Martien

   You defeated Gorr and taken the mark of the watcher's eye. Now return to Martien for the mark of challenger.

   Go to: Martien

6. Defeat Baraham

   Gorr's defeat has not made the people of Floran Village any safer. They're now threatened by another evil creature. Find and destroy Baraham in the caves near Gorr's lair.

7. Raldo

   You've defeated Baraham. Who is this mysterious stranger?

8. The Final Magic Force Field

   Champion Raldo warns of an evil that will be resurrected unless a magic force field is protected. Speak with Gray Pillar's Filaur in Dwarven Village and ask him where the last magic force field is.

9. Protect the Magic Force Field

   There's an evil energy in the deepest part of the Mithril Mines and the magic force field is threatened. Why is there earth wyrm blood everywhere? Could that Succubus Queen be their leader?

10. Raldo's Reappearance

    At the death of the Succubus Queen, Raldo reappears. Speak with him.
