Path to a Dark Wizard

Path to a Dark Wizard is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 C4: Scions of Destiny for characters of level 19+. It starts with Varika in Altar of Rites.

Shilen is the mother of the dark arts. To become a Dark Wizard, one must prove capable of controlling the spirits with her power.

Path to a Dark Wizard walkthrough

The first class transfer for a Dark Mystic who becomes a Dark Wizard, the start of Spellhowler and Phantom Summoner. Varika gives the first of four seeds herself. The other three come from three dark elves, each after a small hunt that needs their item in your bag.

  1. Altar of Rites. Take the quest from Witch Varika. You receive: Seeds of Despair.

Seed of Lunacy

  1. Talk to Witch Arkenia. You receive: Hub Scent.

  2. Ruins of Agony (teleport from Town of Gludio). Hunt Skeleton Scout (lv. 19) until you have: Heart of Lunacy ×3.

  3. Altar of Rites. Return to Witch Arkenia. You receive: Seeds of Lunacy.

Seed of Horror

  1. School of Dark Arts. Talk to Annika. You receive: Candle.

  2. Hunt Skeleton Hunter (lv. 12), Skeleton Hunter Archer (lv. 13), Misery Skeleton (lv. 14) until you have: Knee Bone ×2.

  3. Return to Annika. You receive: Seeds of Horror.

Seed of Anger

  1. Undine Waterfall. Talk to Charkeren. You receive: Lucky Key.

  2. Swampland (teleport from Dark Elf Village). Hunt Marsh Zombie (lv. 13), Marsh Zombie Lord (lv. 14) until you have: Family's Ashes ×3.

  3. Undine Waterfall. Return to Charkeren. You receive: Seeds of Anger.

Final step

  1. Altar of Rites. Return to Witch Varika to complete the quest. You receive: Jewel of Darkness.

Tips

  • The three seeds can be collected in any order. The skeletons for Arkenia live far away in the Ruins of Agony near Gludio, so leave that hunt for the trip to the class master.
  • At level 20 take Jewel of Darkness to the Grand Master of the dark elven guild in Gludio.

Quest journal

  1. Four Seeds

    Quest that must be fulfilled to change occupation to Dark Wizard. Witch Varika speaks of the four seeds representing anger, despair, horror, and lunacy. One who obtains them all may become a Dark Wizard. She gives you a Seed of Despair and asks you to find the rest.
