Quest for 60% recipes of Majestic and Nightmare armor in Giants Cave

Quest: Exploration of Giants Cave, Part 2

Exploration of Giants Cave, Part 2 is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 C3: Rise of Darkness for characters of level 57+. It starts with Sobling.

Quest for 60% recipes of Majestic and Nightmare armor in Giants Cave walkthrough

Exploration of Giants Cave, part 2. Starting level: 57. The starting NPC is Sobling. The condition is the book Ancient Language Dictionary: Intermediate Level in the quest inventory (how to get it is told in the first part, Exploration of Giants Cave, Part 1). The quest is permanent. The reward is 60% recipes for Majestic and Nightmare light and heavy bodies.

  1. Take the quest from Head Researcher Sobling.

  2. The Giant's Cave. Hunt Lesser Giant Soldier (lv. 62), Lesser Giant Scout (lv. 63), Lesser Giant Mage (lv. 64), Lesser Giant Elder (lv. 65) until you have: Ancient Titan Book.

Having got access to the second part of the quest, we move straight on to the giant mobs: the first rooms with giants have Lesser Giant Soldier and Lesser Giant Scout, the lower tiers of the cave have Lesser Giant Mage and Lesser Giant Elder. Ancient Titan Book drops from all these mobs into the ordinary inventory.

  3. On a click the Ancient Titan Books give these books: Almanac: Titan Culture and Book: Giants Science & Technology; for a set of five books of one colour Sobling gives at random one of the recipes for MJ or NM heavy or light bodies (for example Recipe: Sealed Majestic Plate Armor(60%) or Recipe: Sealed Armor of Nightmare(60%)). Which recipe comes from which colour I never paid attention to, since the books of the second part are less popular and nobody swaps them, so I simply collect several sets and exchange them for recipes. Giant's Love Letter and Giant's Doodle drop in the second part too, so that life does not seem like honey.

  4. Return to Head Researcher Sobling to complete the quest.

Tips

  • In the second part I saw no difference at all in how the items drop; the maximum was when all the characters with the second part stood side by side and I led the mobs to them and beat them: as many as 6 books dropped in one buff. How the items are shared in a party is told in the first part, Exploration of Giants Cave, Part 1.
