Protect the Water Source walkthrough

An Elf quest from level 12: something is poisoning the river of the Elven Forest, and the trail leads to the plague zombies at its source. The reward is 2,500 adena and the Ring of Anguish.

1. Elven Village. Find Hierarch Asterios in the temple and take the quest. You receive: Hyacinth Charm.

   

   

2. Shadow of the Mother Tree. Kill Plague Zombie (lv. 14) to get: Plague Dust.

   The Plague Zombies keep to one spot only: the head of the river north-west of the village.

   

   

3. Elven Village. Return to Hierarch Asterios in the temple. Hand over: Plague Dust.

   The dust proves the poison, and Asterios asks for five more to study it.

4. Shadow of the Mother Tree. Hunt Plague Zombie (lv. 14) until you have: Plague Dust ×5.

5. Elven Village. Return to Hierarch Asterios in the temple to complete the quest. Hand over: Hyacinth Charm, Plague Dust ×5. You receive: Adena ×2,500, Ring of Anguish.

   Elven Hierarch Asterios is concerned that the Mother Tree of the village is being contaminated. He asks you to go to the lake, which is the water source, north of the village to investigate the cause of the contamination.
