Path to Hellbound

Path to Hellbound is a one-time, solo quest in Lineage 2 Scryde for characters of level 78+. It starts with Casian in Ant Incubator.

I visited Elder Casian thinking that he might know the path to Hellbound, but he recommends someone else.

Path to Hellbound walkthrough

If Hellbound is open for players (the chain of tedious and long quests on the Isle of Prayer under the common name Bird in a Cage is done), any player can get to Hellbound by doing one of the simple quests, Path to Hellbound or That's Bloody Hot!. The first of them is done on the continent, the second on the Isle of Prayer; I will tell about the first in detail, as you still have to fly to the Isle of Prayer and look for the NPC there, while with the first everything is simple, the NPC has been known for a long time.

  1. Wasteland (teleport from Gludin Village). Take the quest from Elder Casian.

The quest Path to Hellbound is taken at level 78 in the location Wasteland from the NPC Casian.

  2. Heine. Find Galate on the square.

Casian sends us to Heine, to the NPC Galate (to my mind it is a lady, though everybody calls her a guy), who stands not far from the gatekeeper, in the square, next to the green warpgate through which you will later teleport to Hellbound, once you have done the quest.

  3. Wasteland (teleport from Gludin Village). Return to Elder Casian. You receive: Casian's Blue Crystal.

In short, Galate scolds Casian a bit and sends us back to him, so that he gives up the Blue Crystal. We run to the Wasteland again and take the crystal from Casian.

  4. Heine. Return to Galate on the square to complete the quest. Hand over: Casian's Blue Crystal.

And we return to Heine. We give the crystal away and get access to the warpgate and to Hellbound. There are two gates in all, in Heine and in the Wasteland, as you could already see when you were galloping there.

Tips

  • The quest is done once per character; after it the warpgate works for you permanently.

How can I help you?

  • "I want to know how to get to Hellbound."

Ah, a traveler! Did you also feel the wave of magic that emanated from Hellbound a few days ago?

No? Well, that's very odd. Perhaps we shouldn't be having this conversation.

(Only characters level 78 and above may undertake this quest.)

Traveler, I fear something strange and terrible is about to happen. I feel an odd energy...

(Access is only possible when the road to Hellbound is open.)

Did you also feel the wave of magic emanate from Hellbound a few days ago?

Hmm, given your power level, it's odd that you didn't feel it...

I have been conducting my own investigation recently. I discovered that the path to Hellbound has been opened. Fortunately, it is not due to Beleth awakening. I believe it is rather the strength of the Witch that has broken the barrier. If you wish to go to Hellbound, I think you should go find the Witch.

  • "Is there another way?"

Another way...

I do not know. My research did not reveal anything, but it was hardly comprehensive. I can, however, introduce to you someone who knows how to get there. Seek out a woman called Galate. I am sure that she will be able to help you.

I cannot help you. Seek out Galate.

I thought I already told you what to do -- why have you come back to see me?

  • "I need your Blue Crystal."

A Blue Crystal...

You ask for the gift I received from the Water Dragon itself when I was young. It is very precious to me.

Tell me, did you think I would simply hand it over to you?

Hmmph!

But since Galate asked you to retrieve this not simply to test you, but because she actually needs it... Very well, take this to her. I hope this is the last time our paths cross...

What are you doing? Hurry and take the Blue Crystal to Galate. Otherwise, return it to me!

What brings you here?

If you have nothing to say, please do not bother me.

  • "I want to know how to get to Hellbound."

Why are you asking me? I don't know anything about that!

  • "Elder Casian mentioned your name to me."

Elder Casian?

If you really came here on Elder Casian's instructions, go visit him and bring me his Blue Crystal. Simply mentioning his name won't get you very far with me...

Go see Elder Casian and bring back his Blue Crystal.

Otherwise, just admit that you lied to me.

Did you bring the Blue Crystal from Elder Casian?

  • Show her the Blue Crystal.

Well, if Elder Casian is willing to entrust this to you, I suppose I can trust you as well.

  • "Is there a way to enter Hellbound?"

Yes... If you insert the Blue Crystal into this magic device next to me and activate it, you can teleport to Hellbound Island. One moment...

(Galate inserts the Blue Crystal.)

Ah, you may now proceed to Hellbound!
