Naran Ashanuk, Varka's Messenger asks you to become a friend of Varka Silenos and join them in fighting against Ketra Orcs their sworn enemy...

Alliance with Varka Silenos walkthrough

Two tribes fight for the land north of Goddard, and a character of level 74–80 can side with one of them. This quest is the alliance with the Varka Silenos: Naran Ashanuk hands out five marks, one after another, for badges taken from the Ketra Orcs. Every level opens more of the camp, and the second one is what the third class sagas need for Divine Stone of Wisdom.

Level 1: a hundred soldier badges

  1. Varka Silenos Barracks (teleport from Town of Goddard). Take the quest from Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk.

  2. Ketra Orc Outpost (teleport from Town of Goddard). Hunt Ketra Orc Footman (lv. 77), Ketra Orc Raider (lv. 78), Ketra's War Hound (lv. 77), Ketra Orc Scout (lv. 78), Ketra Orc Shaman (lv. 79) until you have: Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×100.

  3. Varka Silenos Barracks (teleport from Town of Goddard). Return to Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk. Hand over: Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×100. You receive: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 1.

Level 2: captains

  1. The second mark costs 200 × Ketra's Badge - Soldier and 100 × Ketra's Badge - Captain. Soldier badges drop from the same five monsters as before; captain badges come from the next rank.

  2. Ketra Orc Outpost (teleport from Town of Goddard). Hunt Ketra Orc Warrior (lv. 80), Ketra Orc Lieutenant (lv. 80), Ketra Orc Medium (lv. 81), Ketra Orc Elite Soldier (lv. 82), Ketra Commander (lv. 81), Ketra Orc White Captain (lv. 82), Ketra Orc Seer (lv. 83) until you have: Ketra's Badge - Captain ×100.

  3. Varka Silenos Barracks (teleport from Town of Goddard). Return to Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk. Hand over: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 1, Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×200, Ketra's Badge - Captain ×100. You receive: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 2.

Level 3: generals

  1. The third mark costs 300 × Ketra's Badge - Soldier, 200 × Ketra's Badge - Captain and 100 × Ketra's Badge - General. The generals stand in the inner camp among magi and seers, and this is the point where a party becomes necessary.

  2. Ketra Orc Village. Hunt Ketra Orc General (lv. 84), Ketra Orc Battalion Commander (lv. 84), Ketra Orc Grand Seer (lv. 85), Ketra's Head Shaman (lv. 85), Ketra Prophet (lv. 87) until you have: Ketra's Badge - General ×100.

  3. Varka Silenos Barracks (teleport from Town of Goddard). Return to Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk. Hand over: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 2, Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×300, Ketra's Badge - Captain ×200, Ketra's Badge - General ×100. You receive: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 3.

Level 4: the trial of courage

  1. From here each mark also needs a trophy from the hierarch Ashas Varka Durai. For level 4 it is Feather of Valor, the reward of Prove your courage!: the raid boss Ketra's Hero Hekaton has to die. Bring it together with 300 × Ketra's Badge - Soldier, 300 × Ketra's Badge - Captain and 200 × Ketra's Badge - General.

  2. Return to Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk. Hand over: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 3, Feather of Valor, Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×300, Ketra's Badge - Captain ×300, Ketra's Badge - General ×200. You receive: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 4.

Level 5: the enemy commander

  1. The last mark asks for Feather of Wisdom from Slay the enemy commander!, which means the raid boss Ketra's Commander Tayr, and for 400 × Ketra's Badge - Soldier, 400 × Ketra's Badge - Captain and 200 × Ketra's Badge - General.

  2. Return to Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk to complete the quest. Hand over: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 4, Feather of Wisdom, Ketra's Badge - Soldier ×400, Ketra's Badge - Captain ×400, Ketra's Badge - General ×200. You receive: Varka's Voucher of Friendship - Stage 5.

The quest stays in the journal for as long as the alliance lasts.

Tips

  • Never hit a Varka Silenos while you are an ally, not even with an area skill: the mark drops by one level and the alliance is broken.
  • Badges are handed over at every level and the count starts again from zero, so the whole road to level 5 is 1,300 soldier, 1,000 captain and 500 general badges.
  • The two alliances exclude each other: taking Alliance with Ketra Orcs later means giving this one up.
  • While you are an ally, War with Ketra Orcs turns the trophies of the same monsters into Nepenthes Seed, the currency of the camp trader Shikon.
