Song of the Hunter

Song of the Hunter is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 C2: Age of Splendor for characters of level 35+. It starts with Grey in Hunters Village.

Song of the Hunter walkthrough

The hunters' guild of the Hunters Village, from level 35: prove yourself with three trophies to join, take paid hunting jobs from Tor (classes C, B and A, harder and better paid), and help Cybellin purify a blood crystal that grows in value with every level of purity.

Joining the guild

Hunters Village. Take the quest from Guild Member Grey.
Bring any three of the five trophies on Grey's list.
Death Pass. Hunt Guardian Basilisk (lv. 36) until you have: G Basil Scale ×40.
Town of Oren. Hunt Leto Lizardman Shaman (lv. 39) until you have: Karut Weed ×20.
Hardin's Academy. Hunt Windsus (lv. 39) until you have: Windsus Aleph Skin.
Ivory Tower. Hunt Enchanted Stone Golem (lv. 42) until you have: Indigo Runestone ×20.
Sea of Spores (teleport from Town of Oren). Hunt Giant Fungus (lv. 40) until you have: Sporesea Seed ×30.
Hunters Village. Return to Guild Member Grey.
From level 45 Grey gives the second circle for three trophies of a harder list: Timak orcs, Trisalim spiders, valley treants, Tairims, archers of greed or the heads of the Tarlk bugbear chiefs.

Hunting jobs

Talk to Guild Member Tor.
Tor hands out jobs of classes C, B and A: C are common and easy, A are rare and pay 12,000 to 18,000 adena. With the second circle the targets are stronger and the pay higher. A job is a set number of trophies from one kind of monster, for example forty charms of the Leto archers for 4,500 adena.

The blood crystal

Talk to Cybellin. You receive: Cybellin's Dagger, Blood Crystal 1.
Town of Oren. Hunt Leto Lizardman Shaman (lv. 39).
Kill the Leto Lizardman Shamans with Cybellin's Dagger in hand: each kill raises the purity of the crystal or breaks it. A level-2 crystal is worth 200 adena, and the price doubles with every level up to 51,200 for level 10.
Hunters Village. Return to Cybellin to complete the quest.

Step 1
Union Member Grey of the Hunters Union gives an explanation about the guild and says in order to join, you must pass a strict test and obtain a Hunter's License. Bring back three or more of the items listed on the Hunters Union test, as indicated by Grey to receive a circle 1 hunter's license. It is said that those in possession of the license may carry out various missions for the guild.
Step 2
You now have the 1st circle hunter license! You can now receive and carry out hunting requests. Go meet Hunter Guild Member Tor and confirm the list of orders. Or, you can also go meet people that hire hunters and take on work informally.
Step 3
You now have in hand the 2nd circle hunter license. You can now receive and carry out hunting requests that can only be performed by 2nd circle hunters. Go meet Hunters Guild Member Tor and confirm the list of orders. Or you can also go meet people that hire hunters and take on work informally.
