Quest: Pursuit of Clan Ambition!
Pursuit of Clan Ambition! is a repeatable, solo quest in Lineage 2 C2: Age of Splendor.
Clan level 5 quest walkthrough
The quest of a clan leader for 
Proof of Aspiration, the item needed to raise a clan from level 4 to 5. Sir Gustav Athebaldt gives three assignments in a row: dragon eggs from Dragon Valley, materials from the Giant's Cave and the Scepter of Judgment from the Cemetery. Clan members may help with the hunting.
Eggs for Martien
Town of Oren. Take the quest from Sir Gustaf Athebaldt. You receive:
Gustaf's Letter1.
Giran Castle Town. Find Martien at the north gate.
Hardin's Academy. Hunt Thunder Wyrm (lv. 54) until you have:
Thunder Wyrm Egg ×10.
Antharas' Lair (teleport from Giran Castle Town). Hunt Drake (lv. 57) until you have:
Drake Egg ×10.
The rare eggs come from three dead dwarves in Dragon Valley: Corpse Of Fritz, Corpse Of Lutz and Corpse Of Kurtz. Talking to the first two gives a few eggs at once and calls Blitz Wyrm, which carry
Blitz Wyrm Egg; between them the corpses also hold the 
Mist Drake Egg. Search all three until you have ten eggs of each of the four kinds.Corpse Of Kurtz also gives
Magipipie Brooch. Show it to Kusto in Giran for 
Black Anvil Coin.Giran Castle Town. Return to Martien at the north gate.
Town of Oren. Return to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt. You receive:

Materials for Balthazar
Hunters Village. Talk to Balthazar.
The Giant's Cave. Hunt Lesser Giant Soldier (lv. 62), Lesser Giant Scout (lv. 63) until you have:
Titan's Powerstone ×10, 
Nebulite Crystals ×10.The giants often drop
Broken Titan's Powerstone; it is repaired into a whole stone with 
Titan's Powerstone.
Hunters Village. Return to Balthazar.
Town of Oren. Return to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt. You receive:
Gustaf's Letter3.
The Scepter of Judgment
Town of Aden. Talk to Sir Eric Rodermai.
The Cemetery. Talk to Witch Cleo.
Town of Aden. Return to Sir Eric Rodermai.
The Forbidden Gateway. Hunt Grave Guard (lv. 54).
Kill grave guards until Grave Keymaster appears among them.
Hunt Grave Keymaster (lv. 65) until you have:
Imperial Key ×6.The Cemetery. Kill Imperial Gravekeeper (lv. 60) to get:
Scepter of Judgment.When the gravekeeper dies, an Imperial Coffer appears. Open it with the keys and take the scepter.
Town of Oren. Return to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt to complete the quest. You receive:
Proof of Aspiration.
Tips
- The three dwarven corpses are spread over Dragon Valley and the entrance of the lair of Antharas, among monsters of level 54–60. A clan party clears the way much faster than the leader alone.
- Clan level 5 also costs SP; the seal is only one of the requirements checked by the clan NPC.
Quest journal
Step 1
Quest that must be completed in order to raise clan level to lv. 5. Upon meeting Sir Gustaf Athebaldt in the town of Oren, he expresses his desire to aid the young and courageous leaders for the future of the kingdom. He promises to give you the ‘Proof of Expectation,’ which is needed when expanding the clan’s powers and influences should you consent to joining forces with him. Sir Athebaldt asks you to aid him in preparing for the attack against the green dragon Antharas, and tells you to go and meet Marvin in Giran Castle Town.
Step 2
Marvin is working to collect eggs of drakes and wyrms. Follow his instructions to go to Dragon Valley and collect ten eggs each of thunder wyrm, drake, blitz wyrm and mist drake. Blitz wyrm and mist drake are very rare types and cannot be found by ordinary methods. Go meet Dwarven Master Raiders that were sent first to get a clue.
Step 3
This is the quest that must be completed for a clan to increase to level 5. If you meet Gustaf Atebalt of Oren Castle Town, he says that he wants to find lords that are young and overflowing with ambition and give them the strength needed to lead the future kingdom and that if you take his hand, he will give you “Evidence of Great Ambition” that will help in raising the strength of your clan. Sir Atebalt asks you to help in the work being done to prepare for the awakening of the land dragon Antharas and says to go meet Martian of Giran Castle Town.
Step 4
Sir Gustaf Athebaldt instructs you to go meet Dwarven Artisan Balthazar, who he is supporting, and help him in his research. Go to Hunters Village and meet Balthazar.
Step 5
Dwarf Artisan Balthazar says that he is doing research to develop a new golem. He says that you must bring ten each of titan’s powerstone and nebulite crystal, which are required for his research. These ingredients can be obtained from degenerated giants in the Cave of Giants.
Step 6
You have gotten all the ingredients required for Balthazar’s research into golem development. Now go back to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt.
Step 7
Sir Gustaf Athebaldt says that he wants to hold the scepter of judgment in his hand and says to go get that. First go to Aden and meet Sir Eric Rodemai, who is a follower of Sir Athebaldt.
Step 8
In order for Sir Eric Rodemai to give you a hint on where you can find the scepter of judgment, he says that you must meet Witch Cleo. Follow his instructions and find Witch Cleo who is to the east of Aden.
Step 9
You asked Witch Cleo about the scepter of judgment and all you got in return was a cryptic answer. Go back to Sir Eric Rodemai and ask him about the meaning of the riddle.
Step 10
Sir Eric Rodemai solved the riddle of Witch Cleo for you. Use the clues given by him to get the scepter of judgment.
Step 11
You’ve got the scepter of judgment! Now take this to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt.
Step 12
Are you going to give the scepter of judgment to Sir Gustaf Athebaldt or just talk to him about it?
